Chapter  Deceive Himself

"Do you have a sense of responsibility as a husband? Shouldn't you care about your pregnant wife?" A series of questions made Scott's face turn livid. His hands on the support board tightened silently, and his joints turned white.

Darien clearly felt that the atmosphere was not right. He quickly said before Scott lost his temper, "I'm sorry, doctor. It's inconvenient for our Mr. Mccarthy to do so. We didn't notice it earlier. We sent it here immediately after we found it. How is the patient now?"

After the doctor finished speaking, he felt a little happy, but he still looked at Scott unhappily. "It's all right now, but I have to stay in the hospital for another two days."

"So you mean... the child is still there?" Darien asked carefully.

"What are you talking about?" The doctor almost exploded when he heard this question. "Don't tell me you don't want a child?"
