After settling the affairs, Caroline and Blake returned to their room together.
The man sat on the soft bed, his phone buzzing. After reading the message, his slender phoenix eyes were filled with dark and emotional light, and a fleeting reluctance.
Even for just a moment, Caroline still sensed something was wrong.
She changed into her pajamas, stepped into a pair of blue fluffy slippers for autumn, and walked to his side, sitting down.
"Work-related?"
"Mm, I'm going back tomorrow."
The man's deep magnetic voice slowly resounded in the room, Caroline blinked her long eyelashes, not showing any surprise.
She lightly opened her lips, "Mm, indeed you've been here for quite some time."
Blake looked at her opening and closing red lips, the suppressed darkness in his eyes surfaced, immensely deep, like a bottomless well.
"Carol."
"Mm?"
