By the time Oliver Abbott and his group arrived, they saw Chris Jung and the others eating watermelon.
They had cycled for several hours, exhausted and sweaty, their aching backs drenched in perspiration, and their wet clothes clinging to them, adding to their miserable state.
But Caroline Edwin and the others not only arrived early, they looked refreshed and not at all tired, as they happily ate the watermelon.

Caroline Edwin briefly replied, "By cab."
