Ch16: seal inside the cave

Mitsuki and Konohamaru were observing Kakashi's movements. He was checking the perimeter for threats. He didn't find anything, so he went back. Mitsuki, who was observing him, felt something strange about where kakashi was. He sent one of his snake to check. The snake went there and cane back to Mitsuki. Mitsuki told his leader "Sensei, there's something strange there"

"What! Do you think kakashi get the mark from there?"

"I am not sure but it is possible"

"Go alert lord fourth and check on Kakashi! I'll go find what's in there"

"I think I should come with you. If whatever is in there put our Lord sixth in that condition, it must be powerful"

"You're right. I need backup. Send a snake to alert lord fourth and ask him to check on Kakashi!"

Mitsuki sent a snake to Minato. They both moved towards the place. It looked like a cave but closed by a big boulder. Konohamaru leaned his ear on the bolder. He listened closely. A complete silence, nothing to be worried right? He is the Hokage. He fought too many battles. He knew that if Mitsuki, one of his finest pupil had a hunch, it has to lead to somewhere. He stayed there for some more minutes. That's when the silence was disrupted by a sound. Chakra was flowing normally on the rocks of the cave but there was something else. It was flowing around the centre of the cave. "Let's go inside" said Konohamaru, forming a rasengan on his palm. He smashed it on the boulder, destroying it into pieces. Mitsuki cleared the way from the pieces with his elongated arms.

  They both went inside passing by a symbol hidden by vines on the entrance. A red spiral with black border line forming a circle. It was dark. Konohamaru used Katon to light up the place but suddenly, the place enlightened. He turned to see Mitsuki, who was standing beside a switch.

"How did you find it?"

"I can see in the dark"

"Can snake see in the dark?"

"I don't know but my parent does and I am not a snake. That's racist"

"Sorry. I've known you since became a genin and I still don't know much about you"

"Hey sensei! Look at this! There are writings here"

As he said, Konohamaru turned to look at the writings. Something Mitsuki couldn't understand but Konohamaru did. "What is this language sensei!"

"These are some ancient writings. People don't use them nowadays but these writings are used for some sealing purposes"

"Come to think of it, my parent has some books with similar alphabets. I couldn't read it like my parent"

"Orochimaru can read ancient alphabets?"

"He can't"

"But you just...never mind"

"So what do we do we need to move on"

"I am gonna leave a clone here to translate"

He made hand signs. A clone appeared beside him. The clone advanced in front of the writings while original Konohamaru advanced inside the cave with Mitsuki.

Minato's clone was teaching young Uchiha Obito. Kakashi came back to announce he didn't find anything. That's when a white little snake approached them. Young shinobis took a diffensive formation but stopped by Minato. Kakashi asked "Sensei what is that thing?"

"It is messenger"

"What? I never heard of communication through snake" said Obito.

"Well, you never heard of punctuality" said Kakashi.

"Hey!"

While the team mates were arguing, Minato listened to the message. He hurried up and asked Kakashi

"Kakashi remove your shirt! Obito check his back!"

They understood it was serious. They quickly did what he said. Obito verified Kakashi's back then stared at Minato

"What is it?"

"Nothing"

"Nothing?"

"He only has some battle scars and that's it. Nothing unordinary here"

'So he hasn't gotten the mark yet. If the message was correct, future hokage and his team are going somewhere to search an anomaly. After what we saw, they are going for something that has nothing to do with their mission. I should alert them. It won't take a long'

Minato tried to teleport. Unfortunately...he couldn't. He couldn't feel the presence of his kunai that he gave Konohamaru. That has never happened to him. Something is blocking his kunai's chakra.

Monato told Kakashi who was putting his shirt on "Lead the team when I am gone!"

"What is it sensei? I don't get what's going on" said Rin.

"Don't worry! Some of our possible allys might be in danger"

Then he left the area. Kakashi said to his team mates "Why does sensei trust everyone?"

Boruto, mad at himself, walked to their hideout. When he arrived his team wasn't there. He looked around. He got the glimpse of his grandfather hopping. Boruto used his lightning speed to reach him. "Grandpa what's going on? Where are my team mates?"

"You weren't with them?"

"No"

Minato explained the situation and said as he couldn't teleport himself, he followed Mitsuki' snake. They both followed mitsuki's snake.

Inside the cave, Mitsuki and original Konohamaru found themselves in front of giant jar. The jar was covered in seals made with ancient alphabets. A bright purple chakra was flowing around the jar, illuminating the place. Both Mitsuki and Konohamaru looked around the jar they couldn't approach the place. "It seems like a normal fuinjutsu but it has multiple layers of seal" said Konohamaru.

"It is possible to break it through with aunt Sakura's brute strength"

"Are you giving suggestions or making jokes about Sakura?". Mitsuki glared at him with an innocent smile then continued to search "Now that you three are grownups, you stopped respecting me. I am the Hokage. Give some respect will you!"

Mitsuki ignored him as he got a glimpse of what was inside the jar. The purple chakra's brightness enlightened in the middle of the jar, revealing a person. A young man with red hair, just wearing torn pants was floating inside the jar. "What the hell! That's a person in there" said Mitsuki.

"Why is he sealed?"

"A prisoner maybe. That's some advanced fuinjutsu. We can't seal a living human being, it goes for my kind to"

"You want to release the seal?"

"If he had something to do with why we are here we should release him!"

"Everyone who's in need is the Hokage's priority" said Konohamaru with proud leaning his chest up then putting his hands on his hip.

"You can do better sensei! That's cringe"

Konohamaru, who couldn't hide his embarrassment asked Mitsuki. We can't go near that jar. You know what to do right?"

"Yes!"

"You're going sage or I go sage?"

"Yours is the most powerful. Keep it for later great..."

"Don't call me that when I am not in the mode!"

Mitsuki's body enlightened as his chakra released around his body forming two snakes around his cloths. A horn appeared while his hair rose with his eyes turning yellow around his pupils. Once his transformation was completed, Mitsuki leaped from the ground to the jar, summoning his strength to break that jar. At that exact moment, memories of Konohamaru's clone who stayed to decode were transferred to his main body. He learned the nature about that person inside the jar. "Mitsuki stop!"

It was too late. The jar was broken. He opened his eyes.

"Big bro Konohamaru"

"Huh you're back Boruto" Konohamaru's clone greeted his student. The snake went to find Mitsuki. "Where is Mitsuki?" Before Konohamaru could answer they were interrupted by Minato who just came there and said "I placed a kunai where I can sense so that my original can come to this place if I dissappear"

"You're a clone too huh, I am one too. My original is checking what's in there and I am trying to read this writings" said Konohamaru. Minato and Boruto looked at the writings. They understood nothing. They made the same confused faces at the same time. Boruto asked Minato "How do you manage to control your clone in this far away?"

"It's exhausting but you should start sending one clone to distance then improve your efficiency by training."

"Speaking of which, where is your original?"

"It's hard to make contact with him here, something is interfering. Last time I checked I was talking to your lady friend"

"You mean Sara..."

"Okay managed to get the words right. Let's read it" Konohamaru intervened.

We lost many but we manged to seal him with an ancient technique called Kami no insho. This person cannot be killed. Even sealed he absorbs chakra from its circulation around him. If he manage to break the seal, it's the end. We hid this events from the world to protect our clan's reputation and to hide information about his threat to avoid fear. Because we lived through it for a couple of days and it was painful. This demon host's name is...Uzumaki Fumetsu
