1 Path to Strength

In Konoha, in the backyard of a modern-Japanese house, a boy of 3 years old was laying on the ground looking at the sky.

His baby-blue eyes locked on the eagles soaring through the skies. The wind ruffled against his yellow-blonde hair.

Sigh.

His expression dim, his eyes losing interest in the blue sky. Rolling over the ground, his gaze lingered on the green grass.

'How boring'

He sighed again. Getting back up, he strode inside his house by the backdoor.

When the boy arrived at the dining hall, he noticed a Dark-Blue haired woman in her late twenties, In her arms, she held a mini-her.

"Ah, Boruto. Just in time, take care of Hima... I have some work left in the kitchen, I'll be right back"

The woman in question was Boruto's mother, Hinata. She placed the small girl in the crib.

Rulfing his hair, she walked past him toward the kitchen. Boruto neared the crib, toward his little sister.

"Where's dad?"

Boruto asked as he took Hima in his arms, he caressed her cheeks with his fingers, her dark blue hair coupled with her baby face made her look adorable.

Hinata halted for a second before continuing her work.

"He said something about meeting Sasuke in person... He's a friend of your father"

"I see"

Hima started struggling in his arms, he sweatdropped at that.

"Waa~ Waa~!"

"Now Now, don't cry"

Boruto placed her in her crib and slightly started to move it. Hima calmed down after a few minutes of crying.

"I'm home!"

Naruto's voice rang through the hall, Boruto shifted his gaze toward the source.

"Morning"

"Good morning to you too, Boruto"

Naruto ruffled his hair and sat down beside him. He lovingly took Hima in his arms.

"Father... I want... to become strong"

Boruto stated. Hinata and Naruto froze. They both turned their head toward the blonde-haired boy.

"I... just want to... become strong"

"Hmm"

Naruto laid his head back on the couch. He pondered, his thoughts drifting off to his younger days, those days of horror and loneliness.

'When I was powerless, everyone saw me as an eyesore... but now"

He thought hard about it. What was best for his son?

'If he's strong, wouldn't that be good? He can protect himself and the people around him'

A good minute passed as Naruto tried to make his decision. He sighed as he concluded his final thought.

"Do you know what Chakra is?"

Naruto asked with a smile, which made Hinata a bit worried.

"Are you sure, Naruto?"

The older blonde nodded. He then shifted his head toward Boruto, waiting for his response.

"Chakra is the essence of life, right? All of us have it within us"

"Good, now... I'll teach you how to control that"

The young Uzumaki nodded at his words, he was eager to train, to become strong.

It was unusual for a kid at his age to think like this... But Boruto was far from the normal, his instincts were carving for battle.

Something inside him stirred up at the mere thought of combat. It was like another existence lived within himself.

He would also often dream about the future, all it held was destruction. His family dead, some others dead... It was truly a nightmare.

Boruto didn't want that, he didn't want to see his family dying, he didn't want to separate from his mother... He would do anything to prevent it, if it takes up his whole beautiful childhood, then so be it.

His resolve was steeled and his mind was made up, Naruto noticed the determination in his son's eyes and decided to give in.

"The path you're choosing is full of thorns and dangers, remember that Boruto"

Naruto's tone was firm and serious, Boruto nodded back in the same sense. The Father led the Son to the backyard, ready to train to the best of his abilities.

'I don't have much time left after I appoint as Hokage... I might not even get to see them every day. Plus, This will also help us bond'

Naruto sat cross-legged on the ground, Boruto followed as he also sat on the ground.

"Now... Close your eyes and try to imagine a blue fireball inside your abdomen"

Boruto closed his eyes, he calmed his breathing and focused on the given subject. He spotted it, Burning brightly.

'There'

It was relatively easy for him to notice the ball of blue fire, almost like it was there... and yet not.

"Now, guide that through your whole body"

Taking a deep and slow breath, Boruto channelled Chakra throughout his body steadily.

'This feels amazing!'

He felt refreshed, power coursed through his whole being making him rejuvenated. He wanted more! This feeling, this feeling of power!

"Open your eyes and follow me"

"Mold the Chakra through your hands while doing a specific set of hand signs"

Boruto followed, he clasped his hand in front of him and started to perform the same pattern of hand signs Naruto was doing. He moulded and shaped it perfectly like it was second nature to him!

Boruto & Naruto held out their right palm, a small ball of fire lit on the top of their palm.

"Oh? you got it first try? That's... Umm, Good I guess?"

Yeah, Naruto wasn't the best when it came to praising. The latter paid no mind to his words, all his focus was on the ball of fire.

'So this is... Ninjutsu'

He felt a spark inside his heart. The ability to create and hold any nature in his palms made him happy like never before.

'I... I want to become a Shinobi'

That was the day when a killer was born... Boruto, the God-Killer.
