Battle against Gojo

Katsuo was thinking of how to use [Pill Creation: Absolute Refinement] and [Pill Creation: Absolute Dispersion] together, and create a technique like Gojo's [Purple].

He already tried to do it, but their effects didn't really mesh together and instead just canceled each other because Katsuo couldn't find an equilibrium between the forces that dispersed and the forces that absorbed and refined.

Suddenly, he felt someone outside of dormitory, and he only knew one person that had that amount of CE and appeared out off nowhere.

'Gojo-sensei.'

Katsuo figured that he must have felt his CE spike or the fluctuations in the environmental CE caused by his experiment and had come to see him.

"Katsu-chan! Let's play~!"

Katsuo stood up and went to his window and there he was, Gojo.

Katsuo decided to play along so he jumped off his window and landed in front of him.

"Yes, Gojo-sensei, what are we going to do?"

Gojo, still grinning, said while putting his hand on his shoulder.

"I will tell you in a second, come with me."

Katsuo felt that Gojo's cursed energy had surrounded him and he carefully sensed its atomic-scale motions.

It was an unbelievable complex manipulation.

'It's not impossible for me to replicate it but I'm not seeing myself being able to do it at this scale, right now.'

Katsuo wondered if, with "some" training, he could replicate some applications of his teacher's [Limitless] with his cursed energy manipulation.

This thought only took the split-second Gojo used to teleport them to an open field grassland with some mountains in the distance, but he remembered it well and then Gojo spoke again but this time in a more serious voice but still with his signature carefree smile.

"Katsuo, you must be wondering how much you have improved, right now right?"

It was the first time, Gojo had called him like that, but it didn't faze him, as he was more focused on Gojo's question, so Katsuo nodded.

"There's an easy solution. Fight me and figure your limits."

Katsuo looked seriously at his teacher and nodded while saying.

"Gojo-sensei, thank you for the offer. I would gladly take it."

"Good."

Suddenly, Gojo disappeared and Katsuo instincts warned him.

Katsuo instantly enhanced his body with CE, and unlike before the Vow, Katsuo felt that its effects increased significantly.

Every nerve, vein, muscle, bone, basically every nook and cranny of his body had CE flowing through them in a way that would enhance them the best.

This was only possible with Katsuo unbelievable CE manipulation, which didn't even create visual effects, except for his red eyes, which started to dimly glow.

To Katsuo, it seemed time had slowed down immensely, he peeked backward and saw a foot approaching at a fast but not unavoidable speed, which was amazing considering his state right now.

If he wasn't enhancing himself, the first strike would be probably enough to gravely wound him.

He shifted his body to evade it, but that movement was enough to make his foot create a dent in the floor and send his body gliding over it.

Mid-air, he rapidly adjusted his body enhancement and dug his foot on the ground, only to feel another attack coming.

He dodged in a more practiced position and dodged and resisted, again and again, each time in a more refined way.

There were times where Gojo almost crippled Katsuo, but with Katsuo overpowering physical advantage and occasional use of PE, it didn't amount to anything except combat experience, contributing to Katsuo's growth.

This continued until Katsuo finally counterattacked with everything he got.

While dodging, he launched a back fist targeting Gojo's shoulder. It silently cut through the air until he felt Gojo's [Infinity] which disappeared together with Gojo because he teleported away.

The strike was so quick and powerful that the thunder-like sound and the shockwaves that razed a long distance of ground in front of it, only appeared after Katsuo's fist stopped.

(AN: Think about Saitama's punch. But weaker.)

Katsuo, not sensing any new attack, looked to where Gojo appeared floating.

"Haha, as I thought. I can't do anything to you in close combat and looking at the smile on your face you must be enjoying this fight as much as I am."

Katsuo didn't know when his serious face became a smiling one, but from what he could tell from his face muscles, it was a pretty savage and somewhat childlike smile, but he didn't think it was weird now that he understood himself better after gaining a greater sense of self.

The truth was that ever since the giant fist caused his nirvanic process by breaking through the dimension, he subconsciously began to yearn to possess strong personal power capable of doing things like that fist that became engraved on his memory. He didn't care what kind it was, to him the greater the better.

That hidden wish suppressed every other desire that he ever had and made it that his focus was getting stronger without rest because when you do something you really want, you don't get tired and that was exactly what happened to him. It was such a strong yearning that if he was reborn in a normal world, he was certain that he would base his life around martial arts and weapons.

Gojo continued.

"But sensei hasn't really pushed you to the limit yet so it's time to get serious."

Gojo took off his white bandage blindfold and pointed his finger at him.

Katsuo, seeing this, upped his enhancement to the maximum.

"Sensei is attacking now, [Red]"

A red sphere was formed in front of Gojo's finger and launched in a second.

Katsuo knew it would just take a step to get out of its destruction range, and he would only be blasted away and receive mildly injuries, which he would instantly heal from if he took it head-on.

'But can I stop it?'

Thought Katsuo as he prepared his stance.

'Only one way to find out.'

As the repulsive force approached, Katsuo accumulated CE in his fist and threw a simple punch while releasing it.

[Black Flash]

A technique that is now relatively easy for him to perform and something that is usually impossible to other sorcerers.

A technique that distorts space and releases the destructive power of the user's strength to the power of 2.5.

And what Katsuo has is overwhelming strength.

At the point of impact, abundant black lightning with red outlines shot out and reached dozens of meters away.

The repulsive force was forcibly split by it and a giant crater was created by the shockwaves of the impact.

Gojo was admiring the first time his technique was stopped. By a rare [Black Flash] no less.

"Wow, did you use [Black Flash] on purpose, Katsu-chan?"

"Yes, Gojo-sensei."

Gojo didn't have time to be comment any further as Katsuo tensed his legs and lunged at Gojo, breaking through the sound barrier, while deploying a strategy he recently thought about and using his recently developed technique as an experiment.
