Lazy Kid With Big Dreams

After teacher Smith collected the question sheet from all the students, the students quickly left the classroom, leaving Set and the teacher alone. "Student Set, I want to ask you a serious question..." said teacher Smith with a serious face. Looking at his teacher's serious face, Set became curious "what's the question?", asked Set. "Tomorrow is your sixteenth birthday, right? What do you want to be when you awaken your celestial spirit?" Set was perplexed because he didn't know why teacher Smith cared "I want to become the Supreme Deity"

Teacher Smith was shocked because a Supreme deity was the highest level you could attain in terms of power in the world.

"You know student Set you're going to have to work hard to be a Supreme Deity. And everyone in this school knows of your lazy nature, so much so that you've earned the title of lazy genius". Hearing this Set's face became smug and said, " I know, but because of my superior intellect, I'm probably going to find, or if I make a little effort, even make a shortcut".

Teacher Smith was astounded by the laziness of his student. Doesn't his laziness know any bounds?

"Well, I just wanted to know, but if you don't mind me saying, I think you should focus on your school, and maybe even become a scientist". Set was grateful for the teacher's consideration, but with a stern voice he said, "I'm sorry teacher, but school isn't for me, my goal is to become a Supreme Deity". After that, Set stood up and casually started walking out of the room. The teacher had a complicated look on his face as he stared at the student who was walking away and then asked.

"Why? Why do you want to be a Supreme God?"

Set turned around and with a serious and passionate voice, said "To protect the weak and innocent!" Then, without waiting for his teacher to respond, casually left.

"Too bad ... but I can't say that I don't respect him," said teacher smith with a helpless expression. Set was a born genius, but he had laziness equal to the might of the gods. So much so that he would answer some of the questions on the test sheet incorrectly so that he wouldn't get into the top three students of his year. He didn't want to be in the top 3 because he'd be forced to participate in school competitions or regional competitions. Because of that and a bunch of other reasons he wouldn't want to get perfect scores on the tests.

Meanwhile as Set walked out of the school, he let out a smile as he thought, 'HaHaHa ... To protect the weak and innocent! Haha, I can't believe I said that with a serious face. What a joke! Why do you want to be a Supreme Deity? Was that supposed to be a joke? Why else? It's a perfect way to pick up chicks, and once I'm a Supreme Deity, I won't have to work a day in my life...'.

But thinking back to the test, he couldn't help but think, "What was that voice I heard? Did that have to do with the pencil appearing on my desk, or was it just my imagi..." As Set walked out of school thinking about the voice he heard within his head, his thoughts were cut off.

"Lazy idiot, stop!" As Set heard a high-pitched voice coming from his back, his face turned into one of annoyance as he quickened his pace.

"Hey, I'm talking to you lazy idiot!"

Just as Set left school quickly, he heard the footsteps of the person responsible for his frustration getting louder. Set stopped and let out an air of 'what do you want from me'. And just as he stopped, a girl walking in front of him. She was a little shorter than Average and had dark purple hair, and she was dressed in a tight bodysuit, revealing her curves. Unfortunately, her curves began and ended at her waist because, at the top, she was flat.

"What do you want from me, Lucy?" Lucy was the smartest person in his class. She always gets the highest grades. She always wins school competitions. She was one of those people who study and made an effort. The polar opposite of a person like Set.

She was one of the rare people that despised him. That was because last year, on the mid-terms, one of Set's friends made a bet with him. The bet was that if he scores perfectly on every test, his friend would take care of a week's worth of school work for Set.

Of course, Set wouldn't pass on a golden opportunity of not doing his student duties for a week. After that, he scored perfect on each and every test and rested for a whole week. As the bet was good for Set, it wasn't for Lucy. She's always known about the title "Lazy Genius," but she never grasped the full extent of its significance, to her Set was a guy she wasn't supposed to place in her eye. And having to put somebody in her eyes was a blow to her pride.

Because Set had perfect scores on every test, he was praised and rewarded. But she came in second, and no one cared for the runner-up, and some of the teachers were even disappointed in her, while others appreciated and praised him. After that, she went insane, as if she were possessed by a vengeful spirit. She made similar bets against Set, even raising the stakes. Set planned this, of course. What kind of person makes a bet for a week of freedom. He had a much grander idea! If he could deal a blow to the pride of the people who make effort then a next bet was bound to turn up.

And that's exactly what happened. Every time Set would get a perfect score, Lucy would cover two weeks ... Three weeks ... A month's worth of school work for him.

Set was flabbergasted! He underestimated Lucy's pride and stubbornness because, at the end of the day, she covered up the remainder of the year's worth of school work, leaving him plenty of time to lazy around.

"Want to make a bet?" said Lucy with a determined look.

"Well, I don't," said Set, it wasn't that he didn't want to make a bet, it was just that it was getting sad. And as he was about to walk past her, she spoke again.

"Let's both take an advanced mathematics test, if you win, I'll do a month's worth of school work for you". Lucy was determined. She had to prove that she was better than him.

"Sorry, but my response is surprisingly the same," said Set, slightly mocking her. Of course, her futile efforts were pitiful, but he hoped that she would raise the stakes more.

"Okay, three months worth of school work"

Hearing this, Set was pleased, but he didn't show it. He still wanted her to raise the stakes a little higher. Then, as Set walked past her, she eventually raised the stakes to Set's liking.

"The rest of the year ... if you beat me, I'm going to do your schoolwork for the rest of the year! If you agree to the bet." Now, Lucy had taken out her ultimate weapon. As she observes Set's temperament, she knew she had him.

Set now had a slight smile. Even though he tried his best to mask his emotion of unbridled joy, he just couldn't seal it completely, hence him showing a slight smile. But lucky hadn't finished her piece. With a sinister grin, she said, "But if you lose, then you will publicly announce that I am smarter than you!"

"If you want that so much then all right. Just tell me when and where..."

"Friday after school."

At that moment, Set felt a little down. "Does it have to be tomorrow?" Set asked while rubbing the back of his head.

"Absolutely," Lucy said with a firm voice. Set was, of course, not a person who would turn down a free lunch. If a person were asking to do him a favor, then Set would have let them do it, you know, for them.

"Sure, tomorrow."

Then he calmly walked away from school with a smile on his face. Lucy watching Set walk away, was now ecstatic. She had a crazed, fanatical face that reflected her true color.

"If I win, your pride will be crushed into smithereens. Set, you son of a bitch, I'll make you pay! When I win, you'll be so humiliated, it'll destroy you!"

Set was in a very good mood right now, you could tell that from his face which was grinning from ear to ear.

"HaHaHa ... If I knew my plan was going to turn out so well, then I would have done it a much... much sooner... Knowing her, She's probably thinking about how my pride would be broken into smithereens. That the humiliation would kill me. Only idiots care about pride ..."

After an hour of walking lost in thought, he came to a beautiful home. It's was his home. Set raced up to his room after opening the door to start playing his favorite video games.

"I just can't wait to play video games and kill time right now".

Set, after arriving in his room, sat down on his comfortable bed, and began to play games. And just like that, hours began to pass like flies. Set was so concentrated that he didn't notice his mother and father coming back from work. He only came out of his state of mind when his mother called him down for dinner.

Set unwillingly got up from his cozy bed and quickly changed his school uniform and went down to eat with his family.
