Chapter 61

"Why isn't this on the news?" Easton asked as he frowned.

They had heard about the rumour and come to think if it way wasn't it there.

"One it could be because this is a small town. Two the person didn't want her business to be broadcast to the world and three she's scared" Cardan finished counting down her reasons.

Zaden nodded at him before asking "But why would she be scared...unless she's being threatened or something" as soon as he said that silence filled the classroom.

Right now it was it 18:00 and Zaden and Easton should have been preparing for extra their extra lesson.

"But if she was threatened why would they threaten her and who would do that?" Easton questioned.

"Well it's none of our business" Easton added soon after another silence started. But they where all still thinking about it.

"Looks like English is about to start again for you guys though" Cardan smirked as he stood up picking up his bag.

Remy followed him along.

With Zaden and Easton glaring at their direction. As soon as the guys left like clockwork other students began entering the classroom.

"W-What was debate mee-meeting about?" Remy asked to start a topic to distract himself. Their discussion had reminded him of how him, Cardan and Easton met and the events that followed soon after concerning Austin.

Of course his mother signed him up for self-defence classes but he still hadn't forgotten about it.

Cardan answered absent minded "Nothing much just that the mayor's cup begins in the next two months for both seniors and juniors. So we'll have to help the juniors.Me,Mai and Raymond will go with them to jounior competitions to help them study"

"That's good" was all Remy could say. Cardan noticing his response sighed.

"What about you. How's being in the student government treating you?"

"Not bad really but Easton can be scary when he-he's there. He gl-glares at everyone but me. He's ba-basically a tyrant in disg-disguise as a student. But he doesn't overwork anyone and gives cre-credit where it's due"

"I don't know man he sounds like the kind of boss I wouldn't want to have"

"Why ex-cept for his gl-glare and all grumpy attitude he's okay"

"Remy the fact that he's name is Easton is already enough for me not to want to work for him" Cardan said before adding "Come with me to the grocery store my fridge needs to be refilled."

Before Remy could say anything he was already being dragged along.

They arrived Boss Dai's grocery store that looked more updated and up scale. The building was made of glass allowing many to see the bright light shining through the parking lot that had been also added.

The doors didn't need to be pulled anymore as they would automatically open and as soon as you entered you where met by a black basket and trolley.

They took the trolley.

Remy and Cardan moved to the meat section that was filled with glass fridges and bought a lot of food and moved to buy rice buy a lot as well as well as spices a couple of snacks and water. Bread, lots of flour, eggs, milk.

He moved to the veggie section and brought an Asian pear, napa cabbage ,garlic chives,moo radish ect.

Remy looked at his trolley and back to Cardan "Are you planning to bake?"

Cardan looked at him confused for a moment before understanding what he meant.

"Yeah, I recently learnt how to make bread from one of the Dai restaurant employee's so I'm going to make more."

"I thought you where bad at ba-baking since you know cook-cooking is your only saving grace"

Cardan glared at him "Just because baking doesn't like me doesn't mean I wouldn't know how to bake. And you keep forgetting whose house you eat at every morning and (sometimes) night"

Remy laughed a bit and raised his hands in surrounder as he helped Cardan.

They all eat at Cardan's house if given the chance. So every morning they rush to his house to eat. It started with them spending nights at his house to watch a movie and ever since then they try to make it to everyone of his dinners.

It's become a sought of ritual for all of them and although Easton won't admit it he enjoyed it the most.

After paying for the food they went to Cardan's flat and greeted the guards as they entered.

Remy began packing the food in the fridge while Cardan began taking out pots and turned on the rice cooker.

He began washing the veggies he'd be using and immediately started cooking. Remy helped where he could but he was mostly useless throughout the entire process.

The main idea for today's dinner was jorim.

As soon as he was done with one plate he made another and another.

He made a lot knowing all of them would finish the food.

The door opened with Zaden and Easton looking tired as hell and as soon as they saw the food they were filled with more energy.

They all gathered around on the lower table and seat down.

They only had a 30 minute break and needed to return at half-past seven.The ate as much as they could and helped wash the dishes before taking the leftovers with them to school.
