Trapped

Iris said "This is a fake door. I could sense a small amount of magic from it."

I gulped and stepped back. Iris then said "Wind Magic Mini Tornado". A small tornado came out from a magical circle and started to destroy the door.

The door got destroyed but we could see the view inside. There was a huge door made of some kind of metal inside. The place reminded me of prisons. It looked like it was modeled after a cell.

Iris said "Let's go. We are wasting daylight."

She started to go inside as I followed her. The second I got inside a door appeared and closed the entrance. Iris seeing this said "Wind Magic Mini tornado".

The same tornado came to destroy the door but the door wasn't destroyed.

Seeing this Iris tried again "Fire Magic Fire Storm. Wind Magic Mini Tornado."

The second she spoke those words. Two magical circles appeared. Out of one of them came a raging storm of fire and from the other came a small wind tornado. Since Iris's main magic is Fire Magic, her Wind Magic is weak. So the weak Wind Magic amplified her Fire Magic.

Those two magic combined attacked the door. I could feel the heat even when I am away from it. But the door wasn't destroyed. Not even a scratch appeared on the door.

I quickly thought of an idea and said "Iris do the same magic you did before but after doing it don't control it."

Iris then said, "It didn't work before and if I didn't control it you might get hurt."

I said, "Just trust me on this okay."

She nodded and said "Fire Magic Fire Storm. Wind Magic Mini Tornado."

This time since she didn't control it. The magic didn't get combined. I calmly said "Manipulation Magic Mana Strengthening. Manipulation Magic Mana Shaping."

After saying this both magic got a little bit stronger and I started to combine it to make it into a ball of fire. I started sweating a bit as I was doing this. It took me a minute to make it into a ball.

I then started to shrink it so it can have more power. After the ball of fire was shrunk to the size of a football. I shot it to the door.

Cracks started appearing as the door started to get destroyed. But the second it got destroyed it was rebuilt in a second.

Iris said "I guess there is no way we can go out of that door. We have to go that way. We will only waste mana if we try to go through that entrance. We can't use Spatial Magic as the dungeons have seals that don't allow it."

I sighed as both of us stood before the metal door in front of us. Just as Iris was about to destroy the door, the door was opened as something we didn't expect.

Iris trembled and took a step back as she saw the giant skeleton.

She said in a scared tone "That… That is a Gashadokuro, The Skeleton Giant. This being was created by the Undead King. Once he ate a human completely. With the remaining bones, he created an undead. This undead soon started to terrify the nation which we now know as Japan. In situations of mass death, such as famines or wars, people could not receive proper funeral rites and thus were unable to move on after death. As their bodies decayed, their souls became twisted with wrath and resentment towards the living. Seeing this he offered his body to those souls and bones. Soon it merged into one enormous mindless being that hated the living. Soon after it was created and started terrifying the people who captured it. Nobody knows where it has gone. The Undead King was afraid that if he kept on creating these Skeleton Undead he would soon have a rival in power so he stopped creating these types of undead. Who knew we would face this terrifying being? Axel I will cover for you. You go and escape. There is a door behind the giant. As soon as I start fighting the being you will escape. Okay?".

I looked down at the floor and said "I am not someone who leaves somebody, I'm the face of danger. So don't expect me to run away."

Iris smiled and said "I knew you would say that. Let's try and kill this giant."

Before we could use magic. The giant swiped his hand to the place we are. We quickly ran in one direction. The giant seeing he didn't hit us was angry. He tried again but we dodged.

The giant attacked us again. I had an idea and said "Iris use your magic. Mana Control Move."

I used the Mana control exercise as an inspiration and used telekinesis. I could move it completely so it still hit me. But with that time Iris said "Fire Magic Fire Storm. Wind Magic Mini Tornado. Fire Magic Flames of Annihilation."

The next second the giant was surrounded by a sea of blue flames as he was facing a tornado made of fire.

The tornado hit the giant. The Giant was angry as Iris tried to hurt him. That attack kind of backfired on Iris as it started attacking Iris relentlessly. The Giant completely forgot about me.

Seeing this I quickly thought about all the information I got about this Skeleton Giant. Soon I formulated a plan.

I said to Iris "Iris give me 5 minutes. I have an idea that might help us kill this giant."

She quickly nodded a nd escaped the attack of the giant. Iris started to use magic to evade and block as she knows attacking is useless. She dodged the attacks she could and blocked the rest.

The Giant seeing this was more frustrated as he attacked Iris using his legs. He tried to kick Iris but failed as she used magic to escape. Like that 5 minutes were over.

I was ready to use the magic and Iris was exhausted by dodging.

I then said "Manipulation Magic Soul Destroy."
