Solo Mission

We searched for and Noah was right the sword was hidden near there. It was hidden in the roof of the hut.

The sword was beautiful. It had a red sheath with gold and black designs of a Chinese dragon. The sword was blue with ripples like the ocean. No wonder it was called the Bloody Ocean.

As soon as I hold it in my arms. I felt the sword was bloodthirsty. You could say the sword which was calm and cold like the ocean was just a facade. The real sword was bloodthirsty.

I took a deep breath and controlled my mana to encase the sword to control its aura. I put the sword back into the sheath and we went to the palace to give the sword back.

The King gave us some money to buy a house and other things. The King also said to look out for any news about the thief. Since I found the sword I was given a bigger share of the reward. With the money I have, I bought a small house in the Beginning Village or the Sun Village. It was near the King's Castle so it was convenient to buy a house here.

This village is called The Beginning Village or The Sun Village as the meteor which gave everyone magic crashed down here. It is called the Sun Village as the sun represents the beginning of a day just as the meteor represents the beginning of having magic. Later Utopia was sealed in another dimension. The place where Utopia once stood was replaced with a replica with no people.

Noah and Lily do not have enough money for a house so they decided to share one for the time being.

Iris has everything for the time being so she saved it.

The money here was transferred with QR codes so the money system was the same as the one we have in the world.

The house I have is big enough for two people to live comfortably. The house has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a basement. I was happy with the house.

I went to the mission office to take another mission. The mission was to kill the bandits that were kidnapping the people in a town a bit far away. As only Elite Wizard and above can learn Spatial Magic. It was hard to travel.

I travelled in a cab and reached the town in 6 hours. The town was called Pearldale Village. They are famous for the pearl necklaces they have. The necklaces were very beautiful with the white pearls and they are designed very well.

I stayed in an inn till the night fell. Then I went out in a few alleys. After I entered the 6th alley I was ambushed by 2 people. One of them said "Mind Magic Sleep". Just as the effect of the magic was on me I whispered "Manipulation Magic Ineffective". I figured this out when I used my magic against the sword. I found that I can manipulate magic weaker than mine easily but I can only manipulate magic stronger than mine to slightly change the direction.

I then acted as if I was asleep. I heard the person who used the magic say "Finally we got 29 people. After one more person, we will lie down for a while."

"Yeah, this job is exhausting. I wish we could do some easier jobs like helping with the experiment." The other person replied.

"Come on, we have to go and take him to the rest. After taking another person we can rest." The mage said.

"The same route as before right?" The person asked. The mage replied "Yes".

I could then hear the person say "Sealing Magic Seal." After that, I was in a white room. Just as I was in the room. I was thrown out in some sort of abandoned building.

The room was filled with children, elderly and adults. I could count 29 people including me. All of them were sleeping. I guessed they did not have the chance to use magic.

I waited for them to come back with the 30th person. After waiting for hours. They finally came back. This time they brought back a child of 8 years old.

They were talking about how the children died as they can't withstand the experiment and how they are going to suffer. They laughed about it and started talking about the money they will get for this job.

Hearing this made my blood boil but I waited for the perfect chance to use magic. I formulated a plan in my head.

I whispered "Manipulation Magic Heart Stop."

After a second both of them started clutching their chest in pain as they slowly kneeled on the ground.

I got up and said "Mind Magic Stasis. Manipulation Magic Heart Restart."

The first spell made it so that their body remained in a stasis-like state. The second spell was self-explanatory and made the heart restart.

I then said "Mind Magic Memory Search."

I started looking at moments of their lives. The moments when they were kidnapping and transporting the people. I found out the location and the method they were following.

I then woke up everyone and explained the situation to them. They were not calm so I released my magic to make them have some sort of pressure. I then explained the situation again and helped the people get back to their homes.

I bought two necklaces and I left the town. I took a cab back to the Sun Village and I took the people to the King as he can do the Mind Magic better than me.

I told the King about the situation. The King said he would handle it and rewarded me.

I was tired from all the traveling so I slept in my bed without eating any food. The next morning I was very hungry but I did my morning routine and had food in a restaurant just outside.

I then relaxed the rest of the day as I thought of the mission I had.
