Bored Otaku Requires Endless Days

The Creator of all things had improved the formula for one of his oldest inventions: Truck-kun. Now, it shall be known as Truck-Sama, deserving of the respect that comes with its new capacity to bear even greater wishes. The only thing left to do is to use it on one lucky individual... [Randomizer Activated] [...] [Error!] [Found]: Two Individuals Qualify! -------------------- I'm bored so I made this novel. The title refers to me. English is my second language, so sorry for any mistakes. I want to improve it by writing this novel. This means that I won't edit the earlier chapters at all, like a diary. This also means the later chapters will be better in writing quality, hopefully. I would also like to warn future readers that I update once a month and that absolutely no planning was involved in the making of this novel. Just a little heads up. I uhh... update once a month. Doubling down on it in case you missed it. I do not own the cover image. I hope you guys enjoy what exists in my delusions. Tags: Isekai, OP MC, Gender Bender, Adventure, FML (Technically)

"Finally! I've completed it!" an excited voice reverberated across the room. Inside it was filled with machines and items of such random variety that will make its use impossible to guess. In the middle of it all was an old man with faded red hair accompanied by streaks of white, wearing a sleeveless white top with blotches of grease and oil and maroon work pants that are just as dirty.

Currently, the old man is holding their mouth while the other leaning on the machine that brought him joy. He stayed still in that position for some time, but nonetheless a futile attempt to stop their mad cackling.

"Hehe... being always met with failure had always meant I could do better, and now I have proven it yet again! Now I only need to try this bad boy out." As soon as those words left his mouth, he pressed a button on the machine he leaned on, revealing a hidden panel resembling a biometric scan involving his entire right hand. Pressing onto it for a few moments, the scan disappeared followed by a screen appearing.

"Why isn't anything happening?" visibly confused, the old man uttered.

[Calculating...]

[You have not yet recalibrated the launch mechanism to send the new device version]

"Damn it all!" The old man cried out, causing the surrounding area to twist and thrash. His creations though remained unharmed. Begrudgingly, he walked over to one of his 'failed' products, a golden gauntlet with lines of neon blue coming from the tips of its fingers and concentrating towards the palm.

"Fine, I'll do it myself."

As he finished putting the glove on, he walked over to his newly created machine that now contained 5 glowing balls on its design. As he extended his hand towards it the machine started to shrink, fitting perfectly in his hand.

With a simple movement, he threw the object towards a corner of his lab that opened up and subsequently closed.

He was just about to sit down when he remembered that he was being generous, so with a finger snap, another copy of the machine was created. He repeated the process of shrinking, throwing and when that was finished, the area surrounding the old man twisted again as he said,

"I guess I'm gonna go to Tōtsuki and eat."

A moment later, he was gone.

"What a weird dream."

A man muttered before he slowly got up out of bed, glancing towards his alarm clock which displayed that he woke up later than usual. Sobering up because of this, he quickly ran towards the bathroom and showered, dressed up in a suit, grabbed his laptop bag and a pair of snacks then headed out the door.

Walking a little faster than usual, he passed through numerous apartment blocks, a car park, a Wendeez, until finally arriving at the subway station just to hear his ride stopping to a screeching still. Hurriedly he walked down the station stairs and hopped on.

Looking around, there was no one else in the cabin, "...that's unusual" he mumbled, but disregarded it and quickly sat on one of the window seats. The subway started to move until it was finally at its full speed. The man then decided to munch on the snacks he brought since he already missed the chance to eat breakfast, and the view was pretty much non-existent. Then suddenly he heard a small beep.

Quickly stopping what he was doing, he looked around the cabin to see nobody there. He was all alone inside this rustic junk of a vehicle. He then placed his focus outside just to see Optimus Prime breaking out of the tunnel wall in his car mode.

"Wait, is it truck m-"

Under the weight of 4.3 tons of Cybertronian steel (flesh?) and the power from a rip-off Infinity Gauntlet, the man called Elias Williams, was hit by a disease called Dead(?).

'-ode.'

'...'

'Ehh?'

'What just happened?'

'Was that not a hallucination?'

'Did I really just get hit by a truck while in a subway underground?'

'Wait, don't those kinds of truck-hitting cases that usually involve high schoolers generally happen in Japan? I'm not in Japan, nor am I a high schooler. Why did I get hit?'

[You have been chosen by The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama]

'That robotic voice!'

Swiveling my head around, I saw a gigantic glowing blue cube with 5 smaller, yet unimaginably big white spheres hovering around it. The cube's surface is filled to the brim with glowing alien patterns that I can't understand, while the spheres pulse simultaneously, each pulse causing the spheres to release a soft, white glow.

I thought Optimus Prime would actually be here. Too Bad.

'Now that I look around...' There was nothing around me. No buildings, trees, clouds, stars, or ground. Even I can't see my body, only a little white mist. Emptiness. Nothingness. Void. Just nothing, except for the talking cube the size of the sun (probably) with the spheres.

"So why am I here?"

[Because you were chosen by The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama, you are now given 5 wishes to be granted by the favor of the Creator of The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama]

"Wishes?"

'So... I'm one of those isekai protagonists?!?! YEEEEE-'

[Negative] (this is a translation of what our dear cube, Truck-Sama, is saying if you can't understand it lol)

'What do you mean?!?!?!'

[The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama did not kill you, meaning that while you are in soul form, your body remains completely intact in your home world]

'So... I don't get to go to another world?' My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is rui-

[Negative] (well... you can)

'... please explain.'

[The Randomized, Non-Japa-]

'Please shorten your name to something more.... manageable?' I grumbled, probably because my emotions have been through a lot lately. Surprisingly, I seem to be more emotional and straight to the point. Is it because of my supposed soul state that I'm in?

[Truck-Sama has delivered you, Elias Williams, 5 wishes to use however you want]

[There is a limit, however]

'Can you tell me those limits?'

[Negative] (no)

'Why not?' How am I supposed to know what to wish for then?

[Negative] (don't know)

'Fine... then can you tell me if my wish can't be granted?'

[Positive] (sure)

'Better than nothing I suppose.' Now I need to start thinking about my wishes. There must be a pretty high wish limit if the guy who gave me wishes created THE truck-kun. Plus, I didn't die in an accident but was chosen, unlike all the other people that were trucked, so the Creator whoever he/she is must be pretty responsible.

Being chosen instead of being accidentally killed really makes me feel giddy.

'Hmm... then my first wish is for a-'

[Notice]:

[If you, Elias Williams, want to get the best possible result through your wish, then you must be very specific about your wish]

'So there was something like this...' I've read about it. The majority of mangas, novels, and fanfics have always had something like this in them. Very specific wishes. The more specific, the better. Wishing something like 'I wish to go to the world of Naruto' then suddenly you're transmigrated in front of a hurtling bijuu bomb would be very unpleasant.

'Well then. My first wish is for the individual named Elias Williamson, age 25, male, and chosen by The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama:

...

To receive a unique body and mind capable of adapting and assimilating any information, technique, and skill, and that sudden power boosts would cause harm.

The body will also be able to house any and all kinds of energy such as Chakra from the Naruto World, Ki from the Dragonball World, Mana from Solo Leveling, etc. without harm.

The body will also have a very high affinity for any and all kinds of energy.

Also, the body must be immortal, like I can't die, immortal.

Also also, I have to be suuuper duper handsome, with a long little bro.'

...

[Very well]

Somehow nodding towards Truck-Sama, I then remember to say,

'Can I see the specifics of the body that will be created after you grant the wish?' Surely this much is possible, right? I really want to see if the body contains the qualities I really want.

[Positive] (whatever)

As soon as Truck-Sama said those words, one of the pulsing spheres hovering beside her started to grow brighter. This phenomenon continued for a few seconds until cracks started to appear on its surface. The cracks grew in size and number, enveloping the sphere when it suddenly exploded into what I can only describe as Stardust. The mystical material gravitated towards me, solidifying to form my limbs, legs, head, and even hair.

[Further improvements towards the skill, Universal Body, is currently impossible]

'So you lied about me getting the immortality I wanted?'

[Negative] (what did you say to me you little sh-)

[You, Elias Williams, currently lack the necessary requirements to further improve the skill, "Omniversal Body".]

'I see...'

Although I wasn't able to get my immortality, I still have all these super cheats when I finally start traveling to other worlds. Just imagine the faces of some Magic Teachers when I first cast some low-level "Fireball" then end up destroying a mountain would be pretty awesome. 'Hehehe...'

I signal towards Truck-Sama to start upgrading the "My already op skill" to something "TRULY OP."

The familiar pulse of light and cracks happened yet again, this time on two of the white spheres that enveloped me once more. Unbelievable strength and vigor fills my very being, but it disappeared as quickly as it came. I guess Truck-Sama is very efficient.

'Heheheheh-'

[Please stop your uncomfortably familiar cackling]

Paying no mind to the oddly shivering Truck-Sama, I began to ponder upon my second wish.

'Wait. How could I forget? Truck-Sama I know my second wish now.'

[...]

'My second wish is for the individual named Elias Williamson, age 25, male, and chosen by The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama:

...

Blah blah blah...

[Very Well]

The System (Transcendent)

- ...you guys know how a system works right? you won't make me explain it right? just think of it like a normal system ok? You know, an inventory space the size of a square Pyramid of Giza, skill descriptions, quests, map/minimap... I hear you saying "where are the stats?" well I say SCREW THEM. IT'S BEEN THREE DAYS AND I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT A METHOD TO ACCURATELY MEASURE MY CHARACTER'S STR, AGI, ETC. - Anyway, the only thing I added would be a form of strength control kind of thing so that our mc doesn't accidentally blow up a planet because of a little sneeze ok? deal? deal.

----------------------------------

'Finally... a System! an actual System!' This is a very important component whenever you get isekaied or whatever happens to you. A system will always be important, it's literally the ultimate cheat. Although mine doesn't give quests because apparently, it would only drag me down. Turns out getting quests that offer me exp wouldn't let me have one of those shounen protagonist moments where I unlock some kind of power, only limiting me to those measly stat point numbers. It would be great to have an EXP giving system to raise my stats, but my body would already do that even by doing simple things.

There really is no point doing Daily Quests that can probably only add a stat point or two to my stats when I could go to the gym and just let my body adapt really quickly to those weights.

'Now then Truck-Sama, for my last wish!

My last wish is for the individual named Elias Williamson, age 25, male, and chosen by The Randomized, Non-Japan-Hitting, Non-High-Schooler-Killing, Non-Killing-In-General, Truck-Sama:

.....

To receive a skill that will let me travel to different worlds of my own choosing, without any sort of restrictions or cooldown.

The worlds that I can travel to can be fictional like the world of TBATE, Komi can't communicate, Solo Leveling, Naruto, Dragonball, Tensura, Twilight, etc.

.....

-----------------------------------

Universal Travel |Rank: Transcendent --> XI|

Allows the host to travel to any fictional or non-fictional world of their choosing.

- Requirements: None

- Cooldown: 30 days

-----------------------------------

'Hmm... although the cooldown is a bit of a bummer, it is unavoidable. Being able to just go into any world of my choosing, regardless of distance, is already insane.'

Time to finally start my isekai adventure! I guess it's time to go and leave now. There's really no point staying in this world any longer. Where to though?

Maybe I should go to a fighting world so that I can learn some techniques? A magical world to learn magic? or both?!?!?!

"Wait. Lemme look at my new face and body." Then I realized that there are no mirrors in this dark dimension or whatever this is. I can, however, feel again. Probably because Truck-Sama created me a new body that I'm having these sensations again, but much stronger. Whatever happens to my old body, I couldn't care less. I raise my hands to eye level and see that they are quite fair and smooth, very much unlike my previous ones that had a scar that came from my auntie's dog. Feeling my hands, they were soft like a baby's bum and contained none of my past blemishes.

This only served to excite me, anticipation growing for what my face would look like. Now that I think about it, what about dear little brother?

Glancing down to check out the goods, I find myself staring with my eyes and mouth wide open. "Hehehehe" is the only thing I can say about the good, no, GREAT goods. Top-quality I must say. Lean muscles are now present all over my body, topped off by a springy 6-pack. As my full focus was entirely on checking the goods out, I didn't notice the long locks of black hair dangling beside my face. Paying attention to them after seeing that my wishes were well-taken care of, brushing my fingers against them confirmed their silky smooth texture that everyone in the Universe would be jealous of.

[It seems that you have decided. The Creator wishes you luck in your travels]

"Hmm? Who is the Creator anyw-"

Before I was able to ask Truck-Sama, a blinding light assaulted my eyes, forcing me to close them. Right when I tried to open them, my nose was overwhelmed by what can only be described as the earth. Musty, muddy, moldy, and earthy. Weird how those words came to mind. Those sensations I felt earlier came back, concentrated within my hands.

As I opened my eyes, the weird scents I've smelled finally made sense. Right in front of me was a dimly lit, light-blue-colored cave, the only source of lights being the luminescent mold or moss that decorate the sides of the rocky formation. The cave seemed to extend forward and backward endlessly into the darkness.

"Where in the world am I? Actually, which world am I on?"

Feeling the sensation in my hands again, I stared down to see a sleek black sword within my grip. It looks to be around 80cm in length with a blade that slightly curves.

The curved blade shimmered coldly against the moldy blue light, its circular guard resembled a golden spinning wheel while its dark handle sleeve contrasted with the bright amber material within (I've clearly never held or seen a katana before).

Turning the weapon over to gaze towards the pommel, I'm surprised to see... PIKACHU?!?! Is that why this thing had a yellowish theme?!?! And I was trying to make it look cool as well...

Glancing towards my left hand instead, I see the katana's similarly dark and yellow-themed scabbard. Jagged lines extended from the scabbard's mouth towards... It's a bunch of electricity, isn't it?!?! Screw it! I'm done! It's black and yellow and it's cool.

No problems with Pikachu, it's just... I wanted something cooler you know? Like a dragon or tiger... just not something cute...

Anyway, I notice that I'm wearing light armor without the Pikachu motif (phew) and checked it out until I was interrupted by faint growls coming from the distance.

Staring towards the sound's source, I see a bunch of little green dudes with shining red eyes, their numbers around three. Focusing a little more, I find that they possessed small, sharp horns, pointed ears, rough skin, and ugly faces (sorry). They also have on minimal clothing and some wooden, worn-out clubs. They were currently grouped together and just standing around.

"Wait, are those goblins?" HAHA! I can speak again, or could I already do that before? Due to my careless uttering, it seems like I attracted a bit of attention towards myself as the goblins all turned in my direction.

"Uhh... Hola?"

They clearly weren't looking to talk, as after an ear-piercing scream they all started to run in my direction. Their small yet nimble bodies quickly arrived right in front of me. One of the leading goblins smashed his club towards my head, but I barely moved back just in time. Dodging seemed to enrage the walking booger further as it tried to hit me in the nuts with a thrust, but this time I didn't stay passive.

Just before the club reached me I was able to step aside towards the left while the goblin continued forward due to its own momentum, giving me the opportunity to perform a simple, yet crude horizontal slash.

It wasn't anything special and it even looked comical, but that was clearly enough to separate the goblin's head off its own body. The head fell first, then the body followed. Strangely after that, they simultaneously burst and released white smoke and ash. My mind was not focused on that weird phenomenon, as I was gazing at my blood-soaked katana emitting steam.

I was certainly not a push-over in my previous life... but killing a humanoid creature?

Roaches and flies were fine; they can die for all I care, but this creature wasn't something like that. I could compare it to a rabid dog from my previous life, and even so, I wouldn't have been as chill as I am now if I did put one down. In spite of all that, killing didn't seem to affect me too much.

Was it the influence of my wishes? If so, which one? The Omniversal Body or The System, or both?

Distracted, I did not notice the incoming impact towards my shoulder with enough force to send me staggering towards the blue cave wall. I felt fine, in fact, I only felt that gravity seemed to shift towards my side and return to normal, but it was enough to stir me awake from my musing. It was also enough to make me notice a little message from The System.

Goblin Attack! |Rank: F|

The host has suddenly encountered goblins from the Upper Floors! They will continue to attack the host until one or the other dies.

----------

Objective:

-Defeat the goblins that are attacking the host. (1/3)

----------

Rewards:

- 500 Valis

- Upper Floors Map

--------------------------------------------

'Oh man, I never thought that the little Ding! from The System, a sound that is hated by system users in many of the mangas, manhwas, anime, novels, and fanfics that I've read, would sound so melodious in my ears. I honestly wouldn't understand how they can't seem to stand a reminder that they, the host, are getting stronger.'

'No time to think about it though, since one of the boogers are coming at me again.'

Visibly angry at me for who knows what reason (who knows?), the wooden club aimed to slam my chest. Not this time I thought, as I dodged towards the left while simultaneously sheathing my sword.

Booger #2 hit the cave wall, causing some dust and small pieces of wood to fly off. The other goblin passed by his pal that hit the wall, swinging their club sideways to perhaps knock me off my balance.

Just before Booger #3 could strike me, I acted fast. Time seemed to slow, slow enough to allow me to look around my surroundings. I can see Booger #2 just behind his companion, rushing over in my direction. I can see that their already worn-out club became even more battered with pieces falling off, creating sharp edges that reflected the smallest amount of light.

#2 and #3's eyes were glowing a frightening red, their faces savagely distorted. #3 even seemed to be smirking, maybe even thinking that he would hit and finish me off.

Seeing as I had all the time in the world, perhaps due to my increased mental faculties, my attention went somewhere else, towards my weapon. The sword is exceptionally balanced, its handle providing outstanding grip.

Looking towards the blade's edge will allow one to easily tell of the sharpness its blade possesses. Aside from the incredible lethality of the sword, its design is superb. From the materials, the color, the geometry... everything was combined perfectly and completely complemented one another.

This was certainly, the perfect weapon for slaughter. My weapon, for slaughter.

As my thoughts continued to deepen, a faint pulse passed through me. The pulsing was faint, almost as if it were a figment of my imagination. The pulsing continued and remained steady, until more seemed to appear.

At first, it was only one, then two, then three, five...

9... 17... 43... 178... 632... 3506...

Until finally, those pulses seemed to unite, forming directly beneath me, then on the cave walls, then on the surroundings. The pulses unified to create one, vigorous heartbeat that resonated with something inside the attacking goblins.

As the club slowly but surely continued to advance, I took a step forward and performed another horizontal slash, only this time my form exuded confidence; my execution was flawless.

I didn't notice the messages that flickered past.

Whistling as it went, my sword phased through the approaching club, gliding through it as if it were nothing more than air. The blade continued unrelenting, even as it headed towards the nearby goblin's torso. The contact I envisioned never came, and time returned to its original rhythm.

The only sounds that remained were the familiar bursts of smoke and ash that came from my two assailants. In their place were two purple shards that somehow gleamed in a place this dark. Looking at where I killed Booger#1, I saw the same material on the uneven floor.

Gazing towards the wall though, I'm surprised to see a deep horizontal gash that extended the length of my blade.

'So cool...' was all I managed to think until I heard a message from the system.

'Lower than what I thought, but I guess I didn't really wish for a strong body, but one with the potential to be the strongest.'

A few minutes later of checking that the system was working perfectly fine, I went and opened my inventory to check my rewards. My inventory was just like how it is in a game's UI, 20x30 squares were present and currently empty apart from the ones on the top right corner (did I mention that the squares all individually have the space similar to a square Pyramid of Giza? not really? well, you're welcome), filled with images of what looked like a stack of coins and an old-looking chart.

I first took out a Valis coin to see what it looked like, since from my memories I didn't really see the anime show it. What appeared in my hand was a gold coin with what looked like an image of a soldier looking sideways while wearing their helmet.

It looked... bland I guess? I was expecting something more than this, but remembering that the technology of Danmachi wasn't exactly advanced made the coin feel a little more pleasant.

Next up was the Upper Floors Map. Just as it appeared in my hands it ripped itself in half, followed by a screen appearing in front of my eyes. The screen showed a big, detailed area of what I can only presume to be the whole of the Upper Floors. I saw a white dot that was in the middle of it all which was probably me, and a bunch of red dots in groups, their numbers increasing the lower their location.

Curiously though, it didn't seem like there was anyone else in here. Isn't that pretty weird or what? I'll think about it later since I'll be busy pretty soon.

Seeing as one of those red dotted groups was near me, I slowly made my way towards them. At the time I was only thinking of the many ways I could get stronger, perhaps fighting all of them at the same time? Maybe just going deeper into the dungeon, hopefully meeting a threatening foe that can boost my power even more.

Those kinds of thoughts continued inside my head, and when I finally saw the familiar monsters again, I stopped. Perhaps at the time I just wanted to become stronger, to gain the strength so that I can continue my journey towards the many worlds that I've once only read about.

The anticipation was so strong that, I didn't notice the menacingly golden eyes staring from the darkness. Those fearsome eyes continued to stare towards their prey, petrifying any in their gaze.

Silently, it moved, creeping unobstructed. The closer the predator came, the harder it became to hide their sinister intentions. Under the dim lighting of the luminescent cave it finally struck, taking only a blink of an eye to fill the passageway with a thick mist, the only evidence of their successful kill being the small shards that dropped to the ground. Seemingly satisfied by their hunt it spoke,

"I guess I should go lower, maybe even fight the Goliath?"

With renewed vigor and golden eyes glowing brighter, the creature dashed away, continuing its adventures and perhaps, conquering a certain dungeon along the way.

Meanwhile, inside the "dark dimension or whatever this is", a figure finally woke up from its sleep. The figure looked around and only saw an empty void, that is until a cube with five spheres hovering around it came into view.

The figure saw this and stared for a few seconds, before somehow laying down into the "ground" and muttering,

"...What a weird dream."
