chapter 12 - Yun lan sect

Nalan was shocked that the person who had saved her grandfather was one of the accursed xiao clan that forced her to marry someone who she hadn't met.

She just recently learn that the person had became a trash that gave her a plan to sever their engagement.

Her grandfather, nalan jie was surprised that after so many years of not knowing what the current situation was found that the xiao clan had yet another genius. However once he heard his named xiao shen recalled who he was.

"Xiao shen? Are you the adopted child of xiao zhan??"

"Yes that was me. I'm here because I heard that you had contracted a poison that eroding your health."

"But I thought you was to satisfy your boredom?"

"It is but the main reason is heal your grandfather and meet my brother's fiancée."

From his words made nalan looked at him bitterly thinking he as here to also convinces her to not drop the marriage.

"I know that my brother had become trash but I wish to avoid nalan young lady to not do inappropriate action."

Nalan Jie was surprised that the grandson of his old friend had become trash while he was absent from the outside world.

"Something unfortunate happened but I think it's for the better. If he had continued to grow without falling then it would end up fuel his Ego."

Both of them was surprised that he did not defend xiao yan and actually acknowledges his fall as an opportunity to rise. Especially nalan jie who thought of a way to continue honoring his promised without offending the xiao clan name.

It was the first time that someone took her side in term of her opinion. She couldn't help but view xiao shen as a savior.

Nalan jie did not say anything and only looked toward her granddaughter who was looking at xiao shen with a love-struck gaze.

"You are right I have been far too selfish with my honor that I made my granddaughter become just a bargaining tool. Yanran-er please forgive your foolish grandfather for controlling your fate."

After being near death's door nalan jie realizes his mistake after a few years in maintaining his branded poison. He understood that it was unfair to used his own family to be nothing more than a tool.

Nalan yanran was surprised that her grandfather was kneeling in front of her. She could see the regret in his eyes asking for forgiveness.

"Grandfather, please don't kneel!"

"But I've been unfair to you, how can you forgive me so easily when I force you to marry someone you hadn't met."

"Grandfather seeing you here and showing me that you regret it is enough."

"Thank you my granddaughter."

While the two reconcile themselves xiao shen was busily experimenting with the branded poison who acted like a living organism. It was really happy being with xiao shen willing to be mold into different types of weapons.

They existed the underground basement and was greeted by yanran's father who was astonished that his father was cured. He had sense the dou qi but it was too fast not even an hour had passed.

He surprise that the person that healed his father was a xiao clan member. Yanran's father tried to remember his name but none came to mine.

Of course no one would know his named due to being only merchants and only recently becoming a genius fighter.

Nalan Su felt ashamed to not give him anything after easily curing his father. Xiao shen looked at him and nodded to not make them any more embarrassed.

"I think having lunch with you would be enough though if it no trouble that young lady yanran to give me a tour to the jia ma empire?"

Nalan Jie smirked looking at her granddaughter's reaction. He was now certain about making him into his in-laws. Despite his arrogant words, one could tell everything was the utmost truth.

They went and had their lunch with a wide different dishes but couldn't compare to what he could create. Even his precious life the food were a lot better, the only thing it had was dou qi.

She has pale white jade-like skin and pure white hair. She also has a graceful, thin curvy body and wears simple snow-white clothes along with a metal vest underneath her clothes.

"disciple greet master!"

"Yanran who is this person?"
