Brangos

The smell of change was in the air as the empty streets were quiet except for the occasional sound of raindrops that echoed as they hit the cold surface of the gloomy planet in the darkness of the night. Silence seamed to be all that was present, well except the big hall in the palace were an argument was taking part between the emperor of Brangos Alserius and his brother king Grienwitt. A roar of anger could be occasion herd but the palace seemed to have reached an agreement and no one appeared to be interfering, in fact the palace seemed all to empty and you would expect more from a house in which a ruler of a whole planet would reside.

"You have grown weak brother! You speak of this concept of power within wisdom and strength within stability but you expect me to just sit still as our hegemony diminishes, resources dwindle, galactic conquest stalls and status drop within every passing day of your rule'' Grienwitt complained as he was pacing about until finally he stopped as if to shall that he had reached a resolve. He was about to continue but was cut off by the reply ''They is no weakness in seeking friendship in peace for stability of our power over your so-called invincibility. We make allies not always for war but for defense advise and guaranty the galaxy is full of unknown and its better to have balance within ours before undergoing your so-called conquest.''

Alserius continued after a slight pause "Our race has expanded greatly over a short period of time for what? To gain resources we do not need while our enemies grow with them. Even those races we did not know before having been provoked. All for what? For science? Can't you see that our forces have become unruly what's to say they won't be an uprising?''

"That's why I told you to put a leash on those dog s but no you had to vote for free will. Now they are free you say they are unruly?" Grienwitt emphasized.

He continued on to add "power is within technology, but you refuse to embrace the Eriez. It is a weapon like no other all we need to do is harvest the planets and their race for powering it up. That's why we need war. Those ants are our resources why hesitate all for your falls state of sewing Karma. Face it, it does not exist we are the kings here ants are nothing more than ants at list this time they are resource ants except for just a waste of space. Let them be the fuel to our rise."

An angry shout is heard as Alserius slammed the table and replied "technology is not the only knowledge out there what about History? What happened to dictator Grimond what about the Parisian uprising against Nocturia. Descendant being left as nothing more than slave is that what you envision for our people?"

"But those people never had the Eriez" he replied before exclaiming "we do, and it will teach them humility as they cower in their homes. It will make them fear to even fart as they will think if Brancos can smell them they are doomed. Make their children cower in their blankets and healthy youth shiver at the mere mention of our existence."

"You haven't seen the devastation it's causing we have become dark. Commoners are being raped and murdered. Nobles are becoming arrogant. WE are losing our basic humanity even when facing our own people." Alserius said this but he never expected to anger Grienwitt to the extant of violence with that sentence.

After what seemed to be minutes tranquility returned as Grienwitt finally replied by saying" You speak of humanity as if we are human in the first place. Though they are our ancestors they are extinct due to their weakness and those peasants are not a part of us they have no rights the difference between them and ants is that they are not resources but are nevertheless a waste of space. Its all that unknown woman's fault she poisoned you with "compassion" and cloud your judgment. I thought that after poisoning and killing her you would work up but now it seems that I have to kill your son to finish the job." He said this in the hope of finally seeing anger in the eyes of his brother, but it seemed that the emotion was not present which greatly disappointed him.

He did however receive a reply and that was the calm voice of Alserius saying " If you are talking about my son then I would have to disappoint you, he is already gone by now and you will never find him even if you search."

"that was your biggest mistake. Well it now seems that I would have to be emperor as you clearly do not understand my intensions" Grienwitt said as he walked out and in turn marking the end of Brangos' most respected emperor.
