Sleepover Part 3

Shishiro's POV.

"Kyaaa!!!" Me and Mio screamed as the lights went out.

"My gods geez calm down why are you so scared?" Makoto asked while covering her ears because of the scream.

"I-I'm sorry I'm not good with storms. I'm really afraid of thunder. I can't handle it" Mio said while hugging Shin's arms.

"As for me I can't handle the dark, I once got locked in a storage room by accident and I was so terrified" I said.

"Woah I didn't know that sorry" Makoto apologized.

"If i were you i would be scared of the dark myself" Ryuji said.

"So what are we gonna do now?" Naoto asked.

"Studying is impossible so let's just end the day plus I'm feeling really sleepy after that tasty food we ate" Makoto said.

We nodded and headed to each of our own rooms and tried to sleep.

Me and the girls are in the same room together so I feel less scared but I am still a bit shaky.

"Are you okay Makoto?" Ai asked worried.

"I-i'm fine don't worry let's go to bed and end the night" I said.

My bed is quite big so it's enough for all of us to sleep on though it's a bit cramped but it is still comfortable and since the air feels a bit cold being close with each other makes us feel a bit warm.

We all tried our best to sleep but none of us could sleep from the sound of the wind banging the window and the lightning striking every few minutes.

"Psst Shishiro are you awake?" Makoto asked.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep even for a second" I replied as I got up.

"None of us can sleep at this point to be honest it's so loud" Ai said getting up as well.

"I-i can't sleep either, I can't even close my eyes" Mio said.

"I just texted my brother and he said the boys can't sleep as well. They are on their way to the living room" Ai said.

"Then let's go with them. There is no point sleeping in this condition" Makoto said and we replied with a nod.

Since it was already late at night the house is very dark and we don't have a flashlight with us so we can only rely on a piece of candle.

We arrived at the living room and it looked like we were the first one there and we decided to sit down on the couch. I'm sitting with Makoto and Ai is sitting with Mio "Where's the boys?" Makoto asked.

"I don't know but they should be here soon. We are the only one who have candles. It must be hard for them to go down from the second floor with no light source" Ai said.

"Th-that's true" Mio agreed.

For a moment I saw a figure behind Ai. I couldn't see clearly so I stared behind Ai for a while.

Ai noticed me staring at her for a while then she got confused "Shishi? What is it?you've been staring at me for a while now is there something on my face?" She asked while wiping her face.

"N-no there is something behind you" I said while pointing behind Ai.

"Hahaha oh c'mon Shishi i'm maybe younger than all of you but i'm not a child anymore" She said.

Suddenly Shin appeared from the dark and surprised Ai and Mio from behind.

"KONBANWA!!!" (Good evening in japanese)

"HWAAA!!!" Ai and Mio screamed to the point that tears started pouring from their eyes.

"Woah sorry i didn't mean to make you guys that scared i guess i went too far" Shin apologized feeling guilty.

"Brother you jerk!!!" Ai shouted in anger while Mio was crying.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you guys would be this scared" Shin spent minutes apologizing until he was finally forgiven.

All of us sat down in the living room feeling tired but unable to sleep due to the noise, none of us started a conversation so everyone felt bored.

"Gahh I'm bored. When will this storm pass by, I want to go to sleep already" Ryuji said.

"I was hoping I could get some great pictures tonight but now I can't," Naoto said while letting out a sigh.

"This sleepover is a mess," Makoto said.

Brrt brrt brrt

My phone vibrated. It was a message from my father. He said that he and my mother won't be home until tomorrow.

I let out a sigh "This is going to be a long night" I said.

Another minute has passed and it's nearly midnight. "Hey, are there any games that we can play?" Makoto asked.

"What games can we play? It's very dark" Ai said.

"We have lights from the candle right?" Ryuji said.

"You mean the candles that we are using right now? The one that is almost run out?" Ai pointed at the candle that was almost burning out.

We all panicked and searched the rooms for another candle, luckily we found one in the cabinets.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?!" Shin yelled "I thought you guys knew and ignored it" She replied.

We let out a sigh "S-so what do we play?" I asked.

"R-rather than playing games h-how about scary stories?" Mio said.

"Wait aren't you scared?" Shin asked "But I like scary stories" She said.

"Well I'm down for whatever what about you guys?" Ryuji said.

We all nodded. I hesitated at first but there was no other choice. This is the only thing that we can do to keep ourselves busy.

"Okay i guess i'll start first" Makoto said "I'm not sure if this is scary but it is for me, so this is back when i'm still in junior high, one day in summer i was doing my homework with my friend in her house"

"Because of the large amount of homework and the both of us slacking off hahaha, so anyways when we are done it was already night time so she offered to accompany me trying to find a taxi"

"We both waited together for long time and talked to each other for quite a while, soon after that a taxi arrived but at the same time my phone rang i told the driver to wait and i answered the call"

"I was very surprised because the person that called me was my friend she said 'i am sorry i couldn't accompany you home take care' i was very surprised and when i look at my friend that was supposed to be standing next to me she was gone so i asked 'weren't you with me just now?' and she answered 'No"

After Makoto finished her story a loud thunder sound struck and surprised all of us.

"Woah that got me" Ryuji said.

Mio was shaking while squeezing Shin's arm tight.

After a few minutes we finally calmed down "Geez Makoto that gives me chills," Naoto said.

"Did that really happen?" I asked "Well I'm not sure myself I am very sure that she was with me at that time, she can't just vanish right?" She replied.

"Man that was pretty scary I guess it's my turn now" Shin said.

"My story is slightly similar to Makoto's story. Ai knows what I'm talking about," I said and Ai nodded.

"So last Christmas me and Ai went over to watch a festival, during that time there have been rumors about people going missing for an unknown reason but despite that we still go anyway" I said.

"So the festival is at nighttime so we both go at around 8pm together" Ai started to take over the story.

"When we arrived the festival was already very crowded for a few minutes. We walked together and enjoyed the festival but after that we separated from each other because we wanted to buy different things" Ai said.

"After i get what i want i went around and search for him, after a while i finally found him and enjoyed the rest of the festival, after the festival ended Shin told me to follow him somewhere and i said no because i was tired"

"We walked out of the festival area and i saw him standing near a food stand but he was next to me before so i ask him how did he get in front of me"

"But her question made me think because when i was at the festival she told me to wait there" Shin took over again

"So then we decided to not talk about it and head home although throughout our way home we kept feeling chills on our back and every time we looked behind us there was nobody there" Ai said.

"Wow that's what people call a doppelganger right? It makes me wonder if ghosts are real and if they are what they want from us" Naoto said.

"I agreed it is really scary when you think about it though especially if you experience it yourself speaking of which" Ryuji said getting ready for his turn.

We all took turns telling our scary story as the night passed. It is now 2pm and finally our prayers have been answered. The lights have turned on despite the storm still roaring outside.

"Hwaaah! Finally i can sleep peacefully" Makoto said while stretching.

We all let out a sigh of relief and head to each of our rooms and rest as the storm passes and the night sky shines.
