*Brielle’s POV*
Jonathan holds my glare for several seconds before smiling coyly. He narrows his eyes and turns his head as if he has no idea what I am talking about.
“What? What are you talking about?” he asks.
“Don’t play dumb with me,” I snap back. What was it about him and his face that made me want to pummel his face in? “I saw you. Earlier today during the dinner. You were in the hallway watching the cameras. Just what the frick do you think I am talking about?”
Jonathan gives me a curious look before chuckling half-heartedly and looking down at his shoes as he shoves his hands into his pockets. If he were anyone else, this little bashful maneuver would be a perfect charm technique. I remember when he used to use it on me, specifically when I was onto him about something he was planning.
Some things never change.
I know now for certain that I am on the right track.
Now, I just need to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt and make sure my father hears about it all.
