Chapter 17

Cheering could be heard for kilometres as the hotel guests gathered in the early afternoon to watch the dolphin’s release.

“That’s it, Jo, go on!” Blue motioned and as sad as she was to lose her, she was just as happy knowing that Jo would be free again.

Larry put his arm around Blue. “You’ve done a good job, honey,” he said with pride. “Jo has healed well and in double time, thanks to you.”

“We did it together,” Blue corrected him. “You can’t give me all the credit.”

Larry smiled as he squeezed her hand tightly.

“Well, shall we go have lunch?” Larry could feel his stomach rumbling.

“Lunch is on me,” Nick said as he overheard Larry’s comment.

“Come here, Gorgeous.” Nick pulled Blue towards him and wrapped his arms around her, despite her reluctance.

“I’m also starving,” he said with a wink which clearly implied another sort of hunger, and immediately Blue wanted to squeal.
