The same day

Fan Lin was sitting in front of Huo Yun and was teaching her about the knowledge that he learnt in Shrek. Mainly the knowledge from mecha designing and other important stuff like trap making and all.

He had covered the whole Deep North boundary with his Blue Silver Energy Grass and poured enough energy in them to last centuries.

Now the Whole Deep North border looked like it was a bangle borderlined with shades of green blueish hue.

It was a beautiful sight to behold as all the Blue Silver Energy Grass emitted faint light around the area. The sheer quantity of the Blue Silver Energy Grass was able to light up the surroundings like a scene from a fantasy series.

The light spots floating and the Blue Silver Energy Grass as the background could become a really good couple spot to have. Except any humans sighted will be killed at sight.

He has become softer than before but he was still a person who hated humans.

"So wanna hear what happened after that?"

Fan Lin asked Huo Yun.

"About what?"

She asked in confusion. The topic was something that he just randomly said when she was eating so she was unable to catch up on his words.

"About what I did after joining that rag tag group."

Fan Lin said to her.

"Will you really tell me? Last time you didn't tell me anything about it. Even when insisted for a week."

She pouted while saying.

"That time, I wasn't sure of my strength. Now after becoming a Titled Douluo, I am. So wanna hear?"

"If you say so. Hurry~ tell me faster. I really want to know."

"Now I think all the good things always happened to me after I was abducted from the beginning. Now let's move onto the story."

"I was taken to a rundown place which had all the facilities that you could imagine. It was a hideout and I was kidnapped by a vicious and criminal organisation. I joined that organisation later."

"What? Why did you?"

"Ask you questions after the story."

"Now, I was kidnapped by a criminal organisation and they finally released me after an hour. It all happened like a dream. I met the most terrifying and also the most weird people on the whole planet at that time."

[Flashback]

Gloomy Forest : uhhm, uhmm ,mmmh umgh. *Trying to make noises while his mouth was covered with a gag.*

Rational one : What do we do with this thing? He may be an informant of them. We can't take risks. Any ideas.

Chunnibyou : Let's torture him.

Altruist one : We can just nicely ask him. He will definitely tell us. He doesn't look like much to begin with.

Chunnibyou : Let's torture him.

Net geek : Give me a few seconds. Well he isn't. He is the right man. Release him, release him. He can help Captain.

Chunnibyou : Let's torture him. He will still help is anyway.

Gloomy Forest : I will help with my own accord. The good and kind doctor said that the man is worthy of saving, so I will save him. You don't need to assert torture because I won't do it that way. Even if you kill me.

Chunnibyou : Hmm, attitude. I like that.

Rational one : If you failed then remember, I will cut it out.

Altruist one : Don't scare him like that. We still need him right now.

Net geek : You sound like we are going to dispose him after he is done with his work.

Altruist one : Aren't we?

Chunnibyou : Nope we aren't. Plus do you really think that he could help Captain. Cuz I don't.

Gloomy Forest : How can you know without me even trying? Let me try once and then you can say.

Rational one : It's because he is letting you try once that you are safe to begin with. Or your corpse would have already rotten till now.

Net geek : Hey, ignore Chunnibyou, He just... adore Captain a lot. That's the best word right.

Altruist one : It isn't. Whatever, let's go.

[Flashback ends]

"So I went to meet the person that was going to be treated. Three days later, I met him because he was not at the base but was touring the world."

"He was the person that I met a few months ago in the forest. He was later my Captain. And I was not able to treat him. I... don't know what disease that he had. Was it even a disease but what I did know was that it was killing him. Weirdly at that, he was going to suffer the more he lived. But he also couldn't die."

"He blatantly refused my help. It was later that I got the samples of his blood and other things from his people. I tried everything I can but it was impossible to treat it. Just like the five main diseases."

"I was going to take my leave as I was unable to treat him. I stopped after seeing what he was using his remaining life for. He was cleaning cleaning people. So I just joined then on a whim. Thought it would be helpful and I would also be able to destroy them from inside if there was a time when they become drunk with their power and have their guard down for me."

"Why? You were just getting on the good parts too. I want to know what happened in there that changed you as you said earlier. Was it a girl, was it some woman?"

"It wasn't. I was just amazed at the people that existed there. All of them could be seen as the most dangerous of humans but all of them were co- existing because of their fear and respect of a single person. I just wanted to know why? What was it that made them bow their heads to him? That's it."

"And why do you think a woman will be able to make me change my mind. Do I look that lusty to you?"

Fan Lin said to her.

"Ahh~ I was just joking. You know, you have an interesting past. Where in the world all this happened, even though we seldom leave Extreme North, it doesn't look like a place anywhere near it."

"I will tell you later. Only if you are worthy of it then."

"Then I will make you do so. Don't underestimate me."

"I am not. But you can't do it. You can do nothing to me."

'Deja vu. Ah, it can't be. I am just being paranoid.'

Fan Lin ignored that sudden sense of deja vu that he felt. His love for his wife was blind. It can never change.
