You're my savior

I reached before the door that was gonna take me back to reality. Well, you can consider the spiritual realm reality too if you're gonna go with the technicalities, but you get the point.

I took a deep breath. Last time, I was confused about all the stuff happening around me. Although I was fascinated by the wormhole because it looked like the rainbow bridge from the Norse mythologies, the fascination was swiftly swept over by the feeling of nausea because of this weird movement my body went through in that wormhole.

However, this time around, I'm aware of the stuff that's gonna happen. It would be the exact opposite of last time. I'm gonna open into the abyss, and I'd have to open the other entrance, the wormhole one. From there, the wormhole would do the job, and I'd just have to stay conscious… But that doesn't really make sense this time around. At least the last time, the price of getting knocked out was being sent to the abyss. What about now? Even if I got knocked out now, I would've already crossed the abyss, right? Is there anything for me to be afraid of?

I gave a hard slap to my cheek. It was as if I was inviting all sorts of red flags with my words alone. This is an unfamiliar place. I shouldn't think something like that because this is an unfamiliar place. Who knows what would happen here? Unlike the confident person from just before, the current me was a cautious one. So, I carefully opened the door, expecting all sorts of danger.

It was as I expected. This place is truly strange, and I can never fully trust even if I came here some other day. When I opened the door, I wasn't faced with the slow paced atmosphere of the abyss. Instead, a vacuum space sucked me up entirely and in the next moment, I was in the wormhole, full steam ahead. My movement wasn't weird, it was extremely fast and streamlined, a worse combination, if you ask me. Similar to the nausea I felt during my journey to the spirit realm, I felt one this time as well. However, at least I was able to go unconscious back then. For some reason, I just couldn't go unconscious this time. Hell, I even tried knocking myself out, before I realized that my hand would never try to injure the owner. Instead, every time I knocked my head, I felt a sharp pain instead. This sharp pain jelled quite well with the headache the speed caused. Look, I am accustomed to normal speed and even Goldy level speed. But this is a different beast. How do people even survive this? Before I had a chance to dwell about it, I saw a really bright light up ahead and in the next moment, I was back in my body. I had this sudden urge to puke for some reason.

"So, it seems like you enjoyed your journey!" Goldy spoke; I could clearly see him trying to hold back his laughter. This bastard! It's my first time, okay? You think you could manage in such a mach speed situation? You know what? Don't answer.

"Yes, I did." I replied, even though I knew that he had read my monologue already. Seriously, I should stop making stuff easy for him like this.

"Great. Shall I go see your dragon now? Turn back and sit." He ordered, excited about the prospect of seeing my dragon statue.

"By the way, why do you have to place your hand on my back? Is there some important meridian there that would allow a faster flow of your Qi?" I asked.

"No." He shook his head.

"Hmm, why don't you grab my hand or something then? You placing your hand on my back the entire time you're out in the spiritual realm is making me tired already." I sighed. Although, I'm not the Hua from back then who gets crushed under the slightest pressure, it just annoys me having someone place their hand on my back like that. It makes me itchy.

However, Goldy looked at me in disbelief, as if I said something taboo. "How can you say that? Haven't you read all those cultivation manhuas in your previous life? Are you really gonna act like the times when the master places his or her hand behind their disciples back, sending their Qi into the other person's body isn't cool looking?" He asked.

"Oh, you're in for the aesthetics, huh? Never knew you were into it." I replied.

"Well, there's a lot of things you don't know about me." He spoke. That's right. I don't know a lot of stuff about him, like he never revealed his sect name. The only thing I know is that it is currently no more. There's other stuff like that as well. However, I'm not gonna force him to reveal everything in one go. Let him take his time, I'll wait.

I subconsciously sat with my back facing him, and he actually entered my space before I was even aware of it. However, as time passed further and further, I couldn't hear anything from his side. This concerned me. Is he floating in the abyss right now?

"I'm not you, you idiot!" I heard Goldy's voice in my head, which gave me some relief. Although I knew he wasn't a dunce like me, in the off chance that he actually ends up screwing it up, I had to be careful and prepared.

I know." I shook my head in agreement. But can't I just be concerned about you, huh?

"Whoa!" He sounded as if he was in awe. I was sure that he saw my statue.

"How is it?" I was about to ask out loud, then I imagined my current state. I was in a half lotus position, with my slightly bent back because I wasn't comfortable sitting straight, and I was speaking random gibberish to the air. If my parents were to barge in, they would definitely think that something is wrong with me. So, I did not say it out loud and just let him barge in my mind and answer it.

"It's… green!" He replied.

"I know that too. What's your overall opinion on it though?" I asked, trying to get a normal answer out of him.

"It's green! And it's strong; stronger than Gold, at least. Tell me, what did you imagine when you made this?" He asked, sounding really eager to know my answer.

"Well, I thought of a strong cool-looking dragon. I couldn't see it in my imagination, it still did turn out like what I wanted." I replied.

"Hmm, strong… That makes sense. Look, you just made a jade dragon… Imperial Jade dragon, since it's emerald green. It would have been a diamond dragon if you were thinking 'strong' in Earth sense, however diamond isn't available in this world. So, this world gave you the next strongest material. And the name diamond dragon is awkward as well, compared to Jade dragon. Damn, why did I even pick gold back then? Screw my unhealthy obsession about my dragon being majestic!" He cursed himself as he explained.

"Jade dragon, huh? Wait, gold is weaker than jade. Doesn't that mean my dragon form would be stronger than yours?" I asked, giving out a haughty laugh to piss him off.

"Ha… Theoretically, yes. But don't think that far when you're in just the initial step. You still have a long way to go before you can go toe to toe with me. And not just that, even if you eventually grow stronger than me, it'll be because I provided you with the Qi core, right?" This time around, Goldy took it upon himself to laugh like I did previously. He really liked reminding me that he's my benefactor, doesn't he? Well, it's not like I don't feel thankful to him for that. Hell, I'd be thankful towards him even if he ends up betraying me someday. I truly hope that such an event doesn't come, though!

"I don't betray people like others do, kid. Especially if the person is you. If I betrayed you, how can I keep acting haughty like this?" He laughed. I don't know his thoughts on it, but I feel like we have formed an actual bond recently where I can call him my friend and mentor. DON'T KNOW ABOUT HIM THOUGH! Damn it, he isn't responding. Does that mean I'm the only one who thinks that way.

Just then, I heard Goldy clearing his throat. "I feel the same way as well." He replied in a really deep voice. I just chuckled softly upon hearing this. The ancient gold dragon is one hell of tsundere. It was funny seeing him getting flustered when he admitted that I was his friend as well. Thank you though, Goldy… You're my savior, and I'm not talking about the Qi core right now. You became friends with a person that the society thought was useless both on Earth and this place as well.

I guess, Goldy isn't a tsundere by convention. Nevertheless, he's a tsundere to me damnit!
