The aftermath

"Hey, are you feeling any better? I heard the surgery went well so I came to check on you on behalf of the whole team." Ricardo asked as he sat down in a chair next to my bed.

"Yeah, I'm slowly starting to get better." I said with a light smile. I ended up having to go through a surgery to align my bones, the doctor told me that it was originally just a simple fracture in one of the bones of my ribcage.

Under normal circumstances, this would heal on its own after around 1 month to 2 months. But because of all the contact in the last match and Sae's last shoulder push in my ribcage, I ended up with compound fractures and needed surgery to stabilize the bones.

At first, my father thought that what happened to me during our last match was just my past sickness coming back but from what the doctor told us it was all due to my injury. It caused me to have a hard time breathing and also caused me to feel dizzy.

If I knew how important the condition stability stat was I would've put all of my stats in there instead, having a healthy body is a must if I want to become the best in the world and not stay weighted down by my own body.

I still remember how I used to feel when I was forced to always stay at home and not participate in any activity because of my body. Luckily I got the chance to be reborn and I should make the best out of it.

"What happened in the match after I felt?" I asked Ricardo who was staying silent the whole time.

"Well, our right wing actually injured his ankle after falling before giving you that center so we had to also sub him out, after that, it was just a complete failure." He said while looking down.

"A complete failure? What's that supposed to mean?" what he said only puzzled me even more, we should've been able to hold out enough and only let them score 2 to 3 goals maximum.

"eh... As you can already guess, our team's morale reached an all time low and the coach was too focused on the two injured players to actually give us any instructions so we ended up losing, by quite a lot actually, they scored 4 more goals." He said with a smile while cheerfully nodding his head.

"What?? So we lost 7-1? What happened in the second half? And why are you smiling?" I asked while slightly angered by the final result of the game as well as his reaction.

"Well, we managed to hold the score still up until the 70th minute but then we lost one player and their ace player was so angered that he scored 4 goals on his own in 20 minutes hahahaha" Ricardo said with a wide smile on his face which confused me even more.

"What actually happened? How did we lose a player in the middle of the second half? I don't remember anyone on our team even having a yellow card." I couldn't comprehend how such a big change occurred.

"Well... After you got injured and had to leave the stadium everyone's morale hit the ground, everyone other than one crazy bastard. Arnold. As soon as he got the chance he would knock over Sae and was soo fired up that he kept taunting them with no end, even after he got a yellow card he didn't stop and ended up fouling their Ace player one more time." Ricardo replied.

"What? Bahahahaha that guy is as crazy as ever, well we did agree that in the second half everyone will get to play the way they wanted to so I can't blame him." After hearing his explanation I couldn't help but burst out laughing, I could already imagine how everything happened.

"Wait, that's not all. After he got the red card he got so annoyed that he ended up spitting on Itoshi Sae and called him names before getting out of the stadium, he then got banned from playing the next 3 games of the club hahaha" Ricardo said while facepalming.

"Weirdly enough I'm not even surprised, I've got too used to it by now." I couldn't help but smile thinking that at least none of our players seems to have any regret, they all gave it their all.

"What are you planning to do from now on?" Ricardo asked while looking down, he knew that my injury would stop me from playing football for a long time.

"Based on what the doctor said I will need to stop doing any kind of sports and if I do as he said then I should be healed after 8 to 9 months. He also said that because of my past health issues my bones were weaker than normal and that I should be more careful from now on." What the doctor didn't know was that if not thanks to the system then my health would actually be even worse than that.

"What about your parents? Are they still going to let you play?" Ricardo asked what he was truly worried about. He knew that both of my parents were very strict when it came to my health and that they always tried to come to watch all of my games.

"To be honest my mom was actually about to force me to stop, luckily my dad somehow managed to convince her, he had to stop his own dream and career because of an injury so he didn't want me to do the same, instead he agreed with my mom that after the 8 months, he will make me train my body 2 months and then send me to Japan."

"What? I can understand why he would want you to strengthen your body and take care of your health but why would he make you go to Japan??" Ricardo asked.

"My mom's side of the family lives there and she always wished for me to study there and also spend some time there so she made a deal with my father that she will only accept letting me pursue my football career if we all moved there." I said with an apologetic smile.

After a few more talks, we agreed to meet up once I was feeling better and he finally went back home which allowed me to check my phone for the first time ever since the end of my surgery.

As soon as I opened it I was welcomed with a hundred of different messages, some from the academy members, some from Esmeralda, and even Alex and Nathan ended up texting me and asking to meet up whenever I can.

I swore to myself that before leaving Spain I had to hang out with them as much as often as possible.
