ᑕᕼᗩᑭTᗴᖇ 48: ᴜɴᴅᴇʀᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ

A few more minutes and Rhian came back with a huge dead fish on her hand. It's blood was already sucked off and all that's left in it is the fresh meat and she gladly offered it to the dragon and the phoenix.

"Look what I found!" Rhian exclaimed with her eyes still bloody red.

Ysabella morphed into her phoenix form and breathed fire to the roast the fish. While Yvel and Rhian watched how the phoenix preps their meal.

And since it's very cold everywhere. Ysabella's fire isn't that strong so it took her a while before she actually made the quality of the fish good enough for her brother's liking.

After cutting it half with the help of her sharp claws and beak. She nudge the tail part towards the dragon who patiently waited for her.

Yvel put the dragon down and watched it eat with the phoenix.

It was a very amusing sight to see for both Rhian and Yvel. Coleen and Trevor had seen it too but they are more focus on their own thing.

"Savage!" Rhian mumbled with a wild grin. A few seconds later and Yalex and Blue came back from their playful fight. Having caught interest of the two feeding beasts.

"Oh look at her! Such a feisty little being!" Yalex grinned and made a grabby hands. Rhian and Yvel visibly grimaced at his actions that made him look like a creep.

"Where's Samuel and Jade?" Blue asked upon looking around. Searching for the two.

"They might take a while. Those two are taking their time in Samuel's old room." Trevor spoke bluntly.

"Oh! His room? Let's go check!" Yvel said with excitement as she quickly hopped.

They waited for the dragon and the phoenix to finish feeding. And once they were done. The eight decided to search for the two.

"How long exactly are we going to stay here?" Yvel asked when she realized that Coleen and Trevor are actually using a huge amount of their powers just for them to be able to walk underwater.

Besides. She was still cold due to the dropping atmosphere and it's no question if she wants to leave already despite the magnificent and historical place she is at.

"You're right. Trevor and Coleen might grow weak at some point. And the atmosphere does not help them in any way." Blue added nonchalantly.

Yalex scoffed and strutted closer to the two who's already walking because of their search.

He held both their shoulders and a string of gold glowed on his hands and their shoulders. As if those gold lights were heading to the two sorcerers' bodies.

"We can share a bit of our powers. Isn't that why we are a team?" Yalex said in between his devilish smirk then he placed a kiss on Trevor's temple.

The younger quickly pulled away and darted him a glare despite his blurry and purplish vision.

"What? Can't I get a kiss? We're still mates!" Yalex whined and suddenly hugged the youger by his waist.

"Don't worry. She won't be jealous. I don't mind a threesome fun." He whispered. Although it was loud enough for everyone to hear and that earned him various expressions from them.

Trevor can't help but visibly blush. Coleen is literally beside them and hearing everything. Meaning that's a result of a hundred percent of embarassmemt for him.

"G-get off. You're being weird." Trevor mumbled while trying to pry off his strong grip.

"Oh shush! I helped you and your crush so be a good mate and atleast return the favor!" Yalex groaned and rolled his eyes at the younger.

Trevor is now beyond embarassed especially after Yalex mentioned 'crush'.

I just hope she doesn't dwell much to that.

He hoped desperately.

"Can you two stop flirting just until we get there?!" Rhian growled at them since they are slowing down.

And only Trevor knows how to find Samuel's room by tracking their leader's mind.

Yalex moped and finally let the boy free. The phoenix transformed back into human and played with him. Distracting him from being a clingy demon to his mate.

A few more minutes. The eight eventually made it in front of his door.

Rhian knocked rather aggressively...

"Yo! Winter prince! Are you in there!?" She yelled and only a few seconds later, Jade opened the door for them.

"What's taking you two so long?" Yalex asked sheepishly.

"He's going through... something." Said by the mermaid in a rather serious manner as she opened the door widely.

"What's wrong?" Coleen asked as they all enter the huge and spacious old room.

Everyone scanned the place. It's obviously old and half of it were all destroyed.

There was an old bookshelf in a corner. Many wet books are scattered on the floor along with broken furnitures.

There were also old and thick curtains.

With the air bubble entering the room. Almost all the things in his room that floats in the water all dropped in just a snap.

"The prince saw an old portrait of his family. It was still clear and probably the only thing that remains completely undestroyed among everything here." Jade explained as she swim further from the bubble, to the door where Samuel is currently in.

"He said he kept it in condition before he left. Because he knows that this castle will be destroyed after he left." She added.

"Well. How is he now?" Blue asked.

"You should see that for yourself. For the meantime. I'll go around and take a check. It's not safe now that our presences are clashing here and there. Things are coming." She said and was about to swim away.

"I'll go with you." Blue said and didn't wait for a response as he jumps out of the air bubble.

The two swam out of the room to check their perimeter for anything that is coming.

Meanwhile... the remaining six in the air bubble continued to the room.

Soon. They eventually found their leader standing in front of a huge family portrait stucked on the wall.

The only thing that remained safe after all the war and destruction it had seen.

Yalex and Rhian are first to check the prince.

Finally seeing the almost freezing tears on his cheeks.

"You look so much like your father." Rhian said to him and patted his shoulder.

"If it makes you feel any better. I've seen everyone underworld but I've never seen your parents." Yalex said and tried to laugh it off but only earned him a glare from the vampire.

"Thanks guys. I'm fine so don't worry too much." He said and let out a small smile as he turned to look at them.

"How long does the mission requires us to stay here?" Coleen asked.

"Not less than a day. So we'll really camp in here." Samuel said and scratched the back of his head.

"Great! S-so Yalex can build a fire right? Because I feel terribly cold." Yvel said and forced out a smile as she could barely do it due to her uncontrolled shiverings.

"Nice. So where else can we stay in this huge castle?" Trevor asked.

"It's best if we stay together. Jade just warned us earlier. Things are coming so separating would be a disadvantage to us if something really comes." Rhian said and crossed her arms.

They finally walked out of the room. Deciding to stay in Samuel's room since it's very spacious.

Trevor and Coleen made soft couches appear for them to sit at. And maybe take a nap if they wish.

While Yalex built a bonfire in the middle. The phoenix and the dragon immediately played literally on the fire dancing and squealing in tiny at each other.

Everyone sat on the couch. Close to the bonfire to kept themselves warm. Except of course Samuel and Rhian.

It didn't took long for Yvel to fall asleep. So Coleen and Trevor had to stick beside her and make sure she doesn't die in hypothermia.

"I'm hungry." Yalex said as he pout.

Of course. For a demon. It's not the same hunger as others. As a dark and evil entity, Yalex hungers for a soul.

He's having soul lust and that made his energy and senses spike as if searching for a prey.

Ysabella knew better and morphed into her human form. Cradling her brother to her arms as she watches her master with wary.

The only good thing is that Yalex have self control. One of the many things why he remains superior and strongest among his brothers. Because unlike them. He doesn't make irrational acts just because he's hungry.

"There's nothing here for you to kill." Rhian said as she to was feeling something boil in her stomach.

She was starting to feel for bloodlust too because of Yalex triggering it for her. She had hunt enough to last for a day without drinking. But Yalex just had to ruin it for her.

Samuel sighed as he shook his head at the two.

"This is not gonna end well." He said and looked at Trevor.

"W-why are you looking at me like that?" Trevor grimaced. But he looked more flustered of what's in his leader's mind.

"None of us can leave now. Especially that we have started the mission already. We must be together all the time." Samuel stated with a very strict tone.

"He have a point Trevor. You're the only one who can help him. You have enough souls in you so it would only be like returning one back to its real owner." Coleen said to him but that somehow made the both of them feel a slight deja vu.

"Besides. You're m-mates. Y-you should help each other." She added.

Don't worry. I won't hold this against you.

She said in her mind knowing that Trevor is probably worried of what she will think of him.

"O-okay." He mumbled and looked away as he began fidgeting with his fingers.

"Perfect. Now what about me?" Rhian scoffed and furrowed her brows at Samuel.

The leader just sighed and gave her the same expression.

"Oh not him! I'll take my chances on eveyone but not that jerk!" She snapped and immediately looked away with a big frown plastered on her face.

But the point is that she looked away because of the unbelievably growing heat on her cheeks.

Me? Sucking his blood?

That would be fu**ing hot.

Rhian mentally cursed herself for being careless around a mind reader. But nevertheless, she tried to act like she never thought of that at all despite the sheepish look from the boy.

"Rhian. One way or another. You two will have to try and fix whatever the problem is between you two." Coleen said to her calmly.

Ysabella nodded her head vigorously along with an innocent smile. The baby dragon had fallen asleep on her arms and it doesn't seem like it wants to get off her any moment now.

"Don't force her."
