01 - THE ACCIDENT

ALL CAPS = High Valyrian

To say Visena Targaryen hated Aemond Targaryen wasn't far off, sure she didn't wish him ill will, but his overall personality made him hard to like. That or the fact he called her cousins bastards and her a lowly forgotten one.

Aemma and Surnysta Targaryen didn't mind his presence, but they didn't converse much with him. As they mostly spent time with the Valeryon brothers, their cousins. Visena did the same, with the occasional addition of Aegon and Aemma with the addition of Helaena.

Since the three girls' parents died, Rhaenyra, Daemon, and Laenor had taken it upon themselves to raise the children for the two years they had begun living amongst them.

Aemma raced through the halls, pushing past Aegon as he looked on with confusion Visena followed close behind and slowed as Aemma dipped around the corner and vanished.

"What the heck is that about," Aegon asked, raising his brows. Visena looked up at her uncle, who all but towered above her,

"She hasn't told me yet."

She skidded down the hall and almost fell as she caught herself and ran towards Helaena's chambers.

"Helaena!" She called out as she entered her room, the guards had let her in reluctantly, but that was to be expected. "Guess what..."

She looked at Helaena as the girl on the ground looked up at her with an emotionless expression. "You have to guess?" Aemma prompted, but it came out more like a question.

"An eye will be opened, and he will claim a dragon." She spoke softly, staring into the distance. Helaena was a dreamer and often spoke in riddles no one believed. She seemed to snap back into reality as Aemma sighed and sat beside her.

"Not quite; I'll get you to guess another day, aunt," Aemma faked a sad expression, handed Helaena a book on insects and strode out of the room, waving at Helaena, who now held a confused expression.

Surnysta awoke to the sounds of footsteps outside her door, and she got up slowly, peaking under the crack before welcoming in her sisters and cousins.

Rhaena looked on the brink of tears whilst her sister Baela comforted her, "someone claimed her, someone claimed Vhagar."

Baela gripped her hand tightly, "she was mine to claim." her tone was laced with sorrow; the dragon was rightfully hers and belonged to her dead mother.

"did you come here to recruit me?" Surnysta asked timidly as she grasped the hands of her sisters.

Visena looked down at her and smiled, "we are going to confront the one who did it, but you don't have to come if you don't want to."

"I will," Surnysta spoke softly. Aemma let go of her hand, strode forward, and opened the door, getting ready to leave.

"let's go gut the bitch who did it," she sneered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aemond was proud of what he had done. He had claimed the biggest dragon known to be tamed; he was now worthy of the true Targaryen name. Unlike those three imbeciles who stood between him and the throne.

His night would have continued to have gone according to his plan, that was until he found himself in front of 2 bastards and five bitches trying to get in his way.

"It's him!" Baela yelled as he smirked.

"It's me," Aemond stated with a smile, still reliving his victory. He sounded arrogant and amused, and Visena hated it.

"Vhagar was her mother's dragon." Visena spat at him, and he rolled his eyes in her direction.

"says the cunt who has neither mother nor dragon." He spat, pleased with his response. "besides, Rhaena, Baela, your mother is dead." Aemma took a step forward and went to hit Aemond, but Rhaena stepped forward.

"she was mine to claim!" she retorted, clenching her fists as anger laced her voice.

"then you should have claimed her!" he stated loudly, the smug look disappearing from his face. "Maybe your cousins could find you a pig to ride. It would suit you."

Visena stepped forward, "as if Vhagar suits you," she sneered, "you deserve no more than a dead pig, you bastard."

His face darkened as he looked at her disgustingly, "YOUR DRAGON DIED IN ITS EGG, YOU CARELESS BRAT." He spoke in high Valyrian as if to intimidate her.

As if reminded of something, Visena froze, and Aemma stepped in front of her.

"AT LEAST SHE'S NOT A COWARD WHO STEALS A DRAGON IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT,Aemma said in defence of her sister. Visena and Aemma were prepared to speak more insults, but Rhaena lunged forward at Aemond. She was quickly shoved to the ground, and all hell broke loose.

Baela threw a punch that connected with his jaw as he grunted and threw his punch, knocking her back into Aemma.

Aemma had taken most of the force from the fall, and as she looked up, she could see Jacaerys and Aemond exchanging punches.

Visena had to admit Aemond was way more skilled than her cousin was, but Jacaerys still put up a good fight against the silver-headed demon.

Surnysta's blood was boiling as the fight continued, and she watched as Visena's face tightened into a look of pure hatred. A look she had never seen from her sister.

Aemond then pushed Jacaerys to the ground, and as Luke came to defend his brother, his fist collided with the young boy's face, and a crunch could be heard.

Surnysta rushed forward as Aemond took a rock and raised it above Luke's head. As he grabbed his throat, choking him against the dirty ground.

"You will die in the flames just like your father!" He spat as Lucerys sobbed.

"my father is still alive," he cried, tears streaming down his face.

"Aer Harwin Strong, you dumb bastard," Aemond smirked, but it faded as Surnysta crashed into him. They wrestled on the ground as Aemma managed to shove Baela's unconscious body off of her with the help of Rhaena.

Aemond grabbed the rock beside him and hit the side of her face with it, hard. She yelled and was pushed off as she cried, clutching her bruised and bloody face.

Jacaerys unsheathed the small dagger he had brought, and Aemond's full attention was now fixed on him, and Visena and Aemma sprinted over to their sister, who still clutched her face and sobbed.

He ducked and dodged Jacaerys blade before hitting him with the same rock he had hit Surnysta with. That sent Jace flying back, and aemond took it as a chance to raise the rock above his head.

Visena eyed the knife on the ground that Jacaerys had dropped and picked it up as the older Valaeryon brother threw dirt into Aemond's eyes. Visena rushed forward and slashed at Aemond, who took the blow to his left eye as he screamed.

Visena almost smirked at what she had inflicted upon the boy she despised. She hadn't even noticed Ser Harrold come into the room. Visena expected him to say it would heal, that she hadn't done too much damage, but she froze and clutched her sisters as they ran to her, Aemma protectively clutching her shoulders as Surnysta shut her eyes and cried once more.

All she had heard was three words uttered from the knight's mouth with a pained expression,

"Gods be good."
