Chapter 1 - Aviana's Memory

The room was completely cold and empty. I was the only one inside... alone and waiting. But now, I don't know anymore what I was waiting for. I raised my head towards the only window of this room where the curtains were slightly drawn.

If only they could have pulled it a little more then, I will be able to know if it is day or night already. Eventually, it made me smile amidst the pain that was caused by the loneliness that has been creeping inside me.

How long have I been kept here already?

How many years has it been since I left?

I sighed as I sat down on the floor. Right then, I sensed someone getting near the direction of this room. They are here once again. I didn't pay any attention and just looked at the space of darkness, waiting for them to arrive so I can finally get this over with. Then, a few seconds later, I heard their footsteps getting nearer.

The next thing I knew is that the walls of the room started to go up behind me. I did not bother to look at them and just simply closed my eyes. I don't know how many times I have done this already but I could not get tired. I will never get tired of rejecting every woman he brings into this room because if they ever find her again... I will never forgive myself.

"No," I heard a woman whisper which made me flinch. I know that voice... I recognize that tiny voice that came from behind me. But I already rejected her. I already told Liam that she is not my daughter so, why is she here once again?

"My gift," Liam said but why is he saying that I am supposed to be a present?

I decided to turn around and right then... I froze seeing who was in front of me.

As I have said before, I will never forgive myself if they ever find her again and now, they have found her and even my child. So, after all these years, all of my sufferings from them have all gone to waste. They found them which only means that... Jayden might be dead.

"Aviana Fiera," Liam said which snap me back to reality.

"Aviana Fiera?" The woman asked confused and at the same time, I could sense that she does not want to believe it.

Vivian... can finally talk.

She is not acting like a doll anymore, unlike when she came into our life.

Now... she looks more like a human and I cannot help but feel happy for her.

However, I was surprised when she laughed so loud asking if Liam was joking about all this but they are all telling the truth. But I know that she would not believe a word that they will say if she does not see it with her own two eyes. I walked in an instant in front of her and I saw how scared she was after that. I knew that that would happen because she... already forgotten about the fact that I am a demon and her too.

"So, Aviana," Liam said then which made me finally avert my gaze from Vivian. I went to the corner and began to contemplate what I will do from now on.

Should I let them escape here now?

"Let's start." The man said right then which sent shivers down my spine. I knew that this day would eventually come but now that they are here, I could not think of anything anymore.

They pulled Livia and Vivian from one another and then chained them to the walls. Vivian tried to escape but she can never leave this facility. Liam has many men inside that could instantly kill the likes of us which is why I did not bother to escape and find them or they will only follow me causing them to finally found her, the one that they have been looking for.

"AVIANA!" Liam shouted but I chose to close my eyes and think.

Hey, wake up lady!

I could hear Vivian talking in her mind which is why I opened my eyes and looked at her. Should I just help them already and let them escape by sacrificing myself? Liam will surely experiment on her and kill her eventually if they found out.

But on second thought, if I do not say a thing... Liam will let them go in the end.

So, I just need to do something in exchange... and that is to keep silent.

Endure it.

I communicated in Vivian's mind as well as my daughter, Livia's. Vivian might have understood what I have said for she began to stay quiet. Livia on the other hand, cannot help but simply cry. She might have sensed what will happen afterward for she has been here before and I cannot help but feel awful looking at her in pain.

And right at that moment, Liam finally started his torture as their chains started to pull their arms and legs. Livia cried louder than before while Vivian screamed at Liam to stop all of this. Though, I know that Liam will never listen to their pleas so, I need to intervene or they will run out of energy to escape from this place.

So, I decided to stop it by breaking the chains from their bodies.

"You let them go?" Liam asked furiously. I could see how pissed he was after what I have done but I have no choice but to do it.

"That is enough," I simply spoke for the very first time after all those years of being imprisoned in this cold and empty room.

"Enough? I HAVEN'T FOUND HER YET!" Liam said angrily as he pointed a gun toward my head. Right then, I knew it was finally my day. And as I have said a while ago, in order for them to leave this place unscathed, I just need to do something in exchange... and that is to keep silent even if it kills me in the end.

"NO!" I heard my child scream in horror but I could not do anything or I will only put her in danger.

"You know that this bullet can still kill you," Liam said warning me. I fully understand that it could kill me. After all, I am still a human despite these demonic abilities that I have attained from my ancestors.

"Please don't!" Livia pleaded with Liam but he will never listen to her.

"I know." I simply replied as I slowly looked at Vivian smiling. I closed my eyes as tears started to fall all over my face.

Finally...

"It's alright now," I said as I breathed heavily.

"My long wait has finally come to an end," I said smiling.

My daughter.

I said in my mind towards my two daughters as I waited for my demise in the hand of this weak man. And right then... I saw my life came flashing back into my eyes.
