Susan stepped into the kitchen, and joined them at the dinning table.
She looked at Michael, but he didn't dare to look her in the eyes.
She picked up her spoon, scooped some rice into it, took her time savoring the taste.
Sussy looked at Michael, she smiled when she saw him stealing glances at Susan.
"You know, Michael cooked that."
Sussy was only helping them start a conversation.
"Oh, really? "
"Yes."
"It tastes good."
Michael's face turned bright red, Andrew seeing this, decided to continue the teasing.
"Michael" he called out
"Yes."
That smile on his face could not be hidden no matter how hard he tried to have a straight face. They all smiled seeing how red his face was.
"Is it too spicy?"
"What! No, not at all."
"Why is your face so red then?"
"Huh." he touched his face, before he grabbed his spoon and ate from the chicken soup.
"It's a bit hot." he drank some water from his cup.
The trio were not fooled, cause they knew he likes spicy foods.

After eating, they all sat in the living room.
"When are you guys leaving?"
Sussy turned to look at him, and she smiled.
"Seriously, you want us to leave." she got up abruptly "fine, Stanley, Andrew, let's get going, Michael wants to spend alone time with his girl." she looks at him with a very wide mischievous smile on her face "Right?"
"Whatever way you put it."
Michael really wasn't ready for another tease.
The trio left, leaving the two alone.
Michael didn't know how to start a conversation.
"Hey Michael"
He nearly jumped up to his feet, when he heard his name.
"Yes" he suddenly felt nervous, he didn't want her bringing up what happened earlier in the day.
"Just want to say thank you."
"Thank you?"
"Yes, I'm happy you brought me into your home, even though I'm just a stranger to you."
"Stop saying that, Sussy will think I'm bullying you, we are all friends, if you ever feel the need to talk to someone, I'm here for you. Okay."
"Hmm. Thanks a lot."
She gets up from her seat and sat right beside him, which gave him goosebumps.
"Ah, do you need something?" he did his best not to stutter, but those words came out slow.
She nods her head like a happy kid.
"Okay, what do you need?" he was now a bit composed.
She smiles at him "Tell me about your happy, embarrassing childhood days."
His face turned sad for a second before all expression disappeared, and all that was left was anger.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to touch a sad spot, I didn't know you, uhm, I'm really sorry."
Seeing her apologizing, made him soften a little, he could tell she was completely clueless.
"There's not much to talk about when it comes to my childhood days."
She clasps her hands together and placed it in between her legs.
Lots of thoughts were going through Susan's mind, she was here for information, but just how was she to get that when she couldn't get him to open up to her.
'Maybe I am rushing it, I have to be patient' she thought to herself.
She smiled as an idea popped into her mind, she finally knew a natural way to make him be relaxed and spout out everything.
"Michael"
"Yes" his voice a little bit hoarse.
"Can we go for a stroll."
