Time Off

"You wanted to see me Gramps?" Drake asked as he walked into Makarov's office and he was handed a paper that had his information, status and rank on it. He read it and his eyes widened with surprise.

"Why am I an S-Class?" Drake asked him as he handed the paper back, "I thought I could only become one at the Trials?"

"I'll explain when I announce it to everyone else." Makarov told him as he stood up. Drake nodded and took a deep breath.

"Thank you Gramps but I also want to tell you something." Drake said as he looked Makarov in the eyes, "Before I start I'm not leaving the guild again. I'm done fighting for a while. I need a break and Mira agrees with me."

"You earned a vacation so I won't try to stop you." Makarov told him as they walked out of the office, "Knowing you we won't have to worry about you not being there when we need you."

"Everyone listen up!" Makarov called out as Drake walked down to the bar and sat in front of Mira, "I want to introduce you to the new S-Class among you!"

"Who is it Master?" Erza asked as she broke up a fight between Natsu and Gray, "Is it someone that's already here?"

"Drake has earned the title for what he did during the battle at the Grand Magic Games!" Makarov told them, "He single handedly saved us from those monsters we were having trouble with as well as blowing past his fear and being the first of any of the mages to take on Acnologia! He will also be taking a break from missions so leave him be unless you absolutely can't handle it without him!"

"Sounds good to me Gramps!" Natsu yelled, surprising everyone because he would have normally argued about him being an S-Class.

"I say we celebrate!" Macao said and everyone yelled in agreement. Drake laughed at his friends' antics and Mire handed him a mug of ale.

"I thought you didn't like me drinking?" Drake asked her as he looked at the mug. He looked at it like it was a trick and she giggled at him.

"I told you to only drink every once in a while." Mira told him as he picked the mug up, "A drunk Dragon Slayer is hard to control."

"Fair enough." Drake told her as he downed the ale, "It's going to be nice being here 24/7 from now on."

"Maybe we can start a family." She jokingly said and he set his mug down quietly. She took the muh and refilled it for him.

"Mirajane Strauss don't mess with me like that please. She laughed at the expression in his face before Natsu kicked him in the head and barely doing anything to him, "Now look here Natsu. Mira could you please hand me the mug?"

"Fight me no-" Natsu was cut off by Drake's mug slamming into his face and sending him straight into Erza. Gajeel and Levy sat next to him and Mira gave them drinks. She gave Drake and new mug since he broke his on Natsu's head.

"Having fun Vamp?" Gajeel asked as Drake began to down his ale. Gajeel was suddenly picked up by Drake and used as a shield from Grey's ice. Drake spun around and put his hands on the counter. He kicked Gajeel with both of his feet and knocked him into Grey. Drake downed his mug and the girls shook their heads as Drake walked over to them. Everyone grimaced at the punishment beat the two Dragon Slayers and Ice Mage around. He tossed the three Fairy Tail members on top of each other and walked back to the counter.

"I warned them." Drake told Mira with a smirk. She gave him a smile as she shook her head at him. The night went on with Drake having to fight Natsu more than he wanted to and him getting more drunk than he should have.

"You're getting a shower and going straight to bed when we get home." Mira told Drame as she helped him walk. He nodded his head as he stumbled down the road. They finally made it home and he got into the shower without an argument. He was already sober when he got out and Mira was surprised to say the least.

"My body doesn't work the same way as everyone else's. Dragon Slayers don't stay drunk for very long." He explained as he laid on the bed and locked eyes with her, "About what you said earlier."

"You mean about the whole family thing?" Mira asked him as she laid down herself and Drake nodded.

"I don't mind starting one but I would like to be a little older before we decide on anything." Drake told her as he closed his eyes. Mira was yet again surprised by him. She never thought he would accept that idea so easily. She laid her head on his shoulder and they both quickly fell asleep.
