Life and death battle

Pumped up after activating his new technique Sanguinius attacks again using his spear to this time pierce the Orcs hide deeply 

Surprised by his new Strength the Orc feels threatened and fights more ferociously pushing him back slowly even after his strength increase because Sanguinius cant allow himself to get hit as his new technique only increases his strength and speed but not his durability 

Fighting a somewhat even battle against a monster that could be classified as a low lv 2 Sanguinius smiles widely feeling he can win if he slowly whittles it down while dodging all of its attacks as he cant afford to get hit by even 1

Feeling his life on the line he enters a state of deep focus and fights with all he's got slashing, piercing and occasionally using magic to harass the monster 

After a couple of minutes he manages to give the Orc a deep slash on its calf further hindering its mobility 

Preparing for the final blow after a couple of minutes he readies his spear but suddenly senses an attack from behind and tries to dodge to the left but he still gets hit as its not a physical attack but a sound Attack from a Bad Bat 

His concentrations slips up for a couple of seconds because of the Bats ability allowing the Orc to pick up a large tree and hit him squarely on the chest instantly sending him flying along with breaking most of his ribs and bringing him on the verge of death

Almost passing out but trying to hold on he limps away slowly from the battlefield looking for the exit to the higher floors

Looking behind him he sees the orc catching up to him as its still in somewhat decent shape and pushes himself to move faster but feels his body let him down because of his injuries and the exhaustion induced by the new technique 

Sanguinius feels like the chance of survival is quickly slipping from his fingers but sensing a familiar creature he looks up and sees the Bat that attacked him earlier still following him

Killing it in anger using blood manipulation as a form of revenge he thinks of how he felt after using blood absorption for first time while sitting down against a tree knowing there's no point to continuing to run because even if he does the Orc will eventually catch up

Remembering how invigorated he felt the first time he tries to absorb the Bats blood but instead of using it to grow stronger as the skill entails he tries to focus on the healing properties of the skill

Sanguinius closes his eyes in focus uncaring of the approaching Orc and tries to just heal and feel invigorated like that last time

Felling the blood be absorbed by the skill but in a different way as instead of going to making him stronger it goes to heal his injuries and fatigue

He smiles at having found a way to survive but frowns at not having enough blood to heal fully but then remembers his space pocket where he stored a lot blood of the monsters he killed along the way and uses the blood in his space pocket to heal himself 

Sensing the Orc reaching him he stops healing and stands up ready to confront it again using his now better condition even if still riddled with some injuries and fights even more cautiously watching out for anymore Bad Bats

The Orc after fighting with him for so long finally succumbs to the sweet embrace of the dungeon falling down with a loud thump

After killing it Sanguinius sits down on the Orcs corpse and tries to catch his breath and after a while decides to absorb its blood feeling a significant increase in his strength along with a couple of his hairs turning into a deep crimson colour like fresh blood 

Ignoring the changes he goes back up passing the ninth and subsequent floors with ease coming out a lot stronger than when he first went in

While on his way to the Guild headquarters he attracts a lot of attention because of the heavy smell of blood on his body and broken armour

Going to exchange his magic stones and dropped monster loot for valis he gets stopped by Rose asking him what happened to him while in the dungeon "What happened didn't I tell you to not go far in the dungeon"

Explaining that he went deeper than she recommended since the monsters on the first floors were to weak for him she started pulling his ear angrily feeling that he took an unnecessary risk 

"Please don't do that again I don't want you dying out on me" she said with a slightly sad expression on her face 

Knowing that he cant promise anything Sanguinius didn't reply only saying that he will be stronger the next time

Feeling helpless Rose left begrudgingly allowing him to count his earnings which totals to 67 thousand Valis making him feel satisfied at finally having his own source of income which would be the equivalent of getting your first pay check back on earth

After collecting his Valis from the exchange counter he leaves to meet Freya and get his status updated feeling like he made immense progress today from just his blood absorption skill not including the accumulated Exelia 

Going up the first 20 floors of Babel he admires all the high level gear hoping that in the near future he will be able to afford them

Seeing the entrance to the twenty first floor he tries to go up but gets blocked by 2 guards from an unknown Familia 

"Do you have permission to enter the private rooms" asked one of the guards with a stern expression "I have the permission of the Goddess Freya to visit her on the top floor of babel" answered Sanguinius hoping to get this cleared up quickly

Waiting for a couple minutes until somebody confirms it they finally let him go up but remind him that he's not allowed to enter any of the rooms except the room of his Goddess and if he doesn't comply there will be severe consequences 

Walking up the floors Sanguinius tries to keep quite so that he doesn't disturb any Gods eventually reaching the top Floor where Freya resides and knocking on her door 

"Come in" says Freya while on her balcony enjoying the sight of Orario from high above 

Getting straight to business after entering the room Sanguinius takes off his shirt revealing the Freya Familia Emblem and sits down on a chair showing his back to Freya

Freya goes through the usual procedures Dropping a drop of blood on his back and starts reading his Status, the Excelia revealing what he went through while in the dungeon surprising Freya "You fought an Orc and won?, fighting it even managed to give you enough high quality Excelia to level up" said Freya with a slightly flabbergasted expression 

"even though I can level you up now I don't recommend it as I can see your soul hasn't reached its full potential yet" added Freya

"Would the Excelia be wasted if you do that?" asked Sanguinius with concern as he doesn't want his hard work to be wasted just because he wanted to optimize his stats

"No I will be using that Excelia and distribute it to your basic abilities" answered Freya 

After listening to her Sanguinius askes why not every adventurer delays their level ups to optimize their basic abilities with Freya answering that most adventures accumulate Excelia way slower than him and when they get the chance to level up they take it right away instead of trying to optimize for some small gains

Understanding Sanguinius askes why he should do that then if its so useless for others "because from what I see your stats somehow broke though the S rank with lots of room for improvement, it would be a waste to level up now" responded Freya now writing down his new Status for him to see
