Reason behind her request

Despite the distance, Aryen can hear their conversation; her mother's words made her stunned after she understands that the cabin belonged to their family.

However, Aryen did not notice that she is staring intently at her mother's face. Tears suddenly fall from her eyes while her heart felt being twisted that she can't even hold her own mother. 

Aryen remembered that her mother, Mei Joan should now be around forty-two years old. A kind and loving mother who always support and understand her decisions. 

Despite being a mother, Mei Joan was like a father, a sister, and friend to Aryen. She was like everyone else who will always be there for her children, protecting them with all her life. 

With her unbearable gaze, Mei Joan can't help but turned her head towards Aryen's location and smiled sweetly. Despite her age, her eyes still look clear like a night sky. 

"Good morning Mrs Lee. I hope you'll enjoy your stay. If you need something, please don't hesitate to approach me." She uttered with a loving voice. 

Due to the distance between them, Mei Joan cannot see the tears on Aryen's face. But her heart suddenly skipped a beat with unknown reason. There was a feeling inside her, wanting to get closer to Aryen. 

However, Mei Joan can only ignore the strange feelings that suddenly covered her heart. But she can't help remembering her daughter when she looked at Aryen. 

Aryen can only try to force a smile and nod. She cannot speak, her throat keeps on trembling while the tears are falling from her eyes. Yet she did not noticed that her expression did not miss Lee Shira's gaze. 

Lee Shira's eyes narrowed while watching the tears on Aryen's face, he turned to look back at Mei Joan and uttered with his normal cold voice. "We will let you know if we need something." 

Mei Joan came back to her senses and looked back at Lee Shira before she nods. She waved her hand to Aryen, indicating that she will be leaving. 

Watching Mei Joan's disappearing back, Aryen remained on the same spot. She didn't know how long she stood in the balcony while a pair of fierce eyes are watching behind her. 

Before long, there was a strong arm from behind that suddenly wrapped around her waist. Aryen almost jumped and screamed in shocked but suddenly stunned. 

A hot breath touched her ears followed by a familiar deep cold voice whispering slowly, but Lee Shira's words made Aryen's body stiffened. "You know Mrs Mei? Are they your real family?" 

Aryen was completely frozen and her mind turned blank. She did not expect for Lee Shira to suddenly appear behind her. What is worst, she unconsciously exposed her identity. 

Her heart began pumping fast with fear that he had found out the real reason on staying in Paradise apartment. But before Aryen can respond, Lee Shira suddenly pulled her inside the cabin. 

With his swift gentle move, Aryen was laid down on the bed while Lee Shira leaned down his body to her. She can smell his sweet hot breath, but her eyes shrink while staring at his fierce eyes behind his clear eye glasses. 

He keeps on scrutinizing her face with tears that continuously flowing on her eyes. Lee Shira can only guess after carefully observing Aryen's expression. 

"Exposed?" Lee Shira uttered, his voice remained cold. He has been standing behind her for so long after Mrs Mei left, but Aryen stayed staring in the same direction. 

Lee Shira recalled the time when Aryen suddenly agreed to have a honeymoon vacation. He speculated that there was another reason behind her request. 

What more was for Aryen to choose X country and chose Island City, despite other countries with much better place. She even disregarded buying their own house for her to have a place whenever she wanted to come back. 

His suspicion becomes deeper because of her expressions after seeing Mrs Mei. Knowing that she was from an orphanage, Lee Shira can only think one possibility, Mei Joan is Aryen's mother. 

Watching Aryen's beautiful crying face, Lee Shira bent over to give her a small kiss. He raised his hand and gently wipe her tears before shifting their position: pulling her on his arms with a tight embrace. Then he seriously said. "I want to know everything."
