97 CH97:WAR HAS BEGUN

[Grim's Ship]

For a few short minutes, all the Granians in Grim's ship started to cheer, hoot, and holler for Jason. The human turned into an abomination was destroying Ace and conquering, but all of this joy dropped to their stomachs after they saw Jason's body get sent back to them.

With their cameras looking up, the Granians saw the ArkVille Main Ship hovering past them as they surrounded Ace. Out of the ships dropped troops, both Gifted from the above twenty class and Normal soldiers.

The Granians outside the ship remained in one place as they watched the humans communicate with each other. Grim, on the other hand, was enraged by this and decided it was time for him and the real Granians to move out. The ones he had deployed earlier were clones, so they knew not how to fight with skill but rather with blindness and uncoordinated attacks.

"I thought that these clones and prisoners would earn their places amongst us," he said while moving to the back of his ship where clones were being created. "I seem to have been wrong. Shut down this operation. I want real fighters now."

"Are we allowed to go out now?" Huntress asked, acting like a child anxious to go out and play. Grim looked at her seductive face and smiled as he entangled his tail with hers.

"It's time. Prepare yourself. We're moving now," Grim replied as he stood on top of a circular ring with lights under. The ring acted as a holographic communicator that allowed him to speak with the Grand Master, who was still in space.

"Grand Master," he saluted with a bow. "I beseech you today, asking for reinforcements. The humans have prepared themselves. We're close to capturing the Blood Mutants, and we cannot afford to fail now."

"Very well," Grand Master replied with a snap of his fingers, giving the order for the Granians on his ship to enter their pods. "Have the clones failed to do their jobs?"

"They are nothing but mere clones, Master," Grim replied. "They lack the basic fighting skills. They're like children pretending to fight, thinking that they'll have a second chance."

"I see," Grand Master replied. "When I see it fit, I shall send the reinforcements you need. For now, do whatever it takes to bring those Blood Mutants to me. You cannot fail. Understood?"

"Yes, Grand Master," Grim replied and ended the call with a grin on his face.

Before him stood over five hundred real Granians, each standing without any form of armor. Their tough layers of scales were more than enough for them, unlike the quickly and poorly developed clones. Grim ordered the front hatch of his ship to open as he gave his forces their mission objective, making sure that they were all on the same page as he was.

"Our objective is capturing those two blood mutants," he said as he reinforced his armor. "If you encounter any humans, kill them. If they overpower you, don't be afraid to ask for help. Walk in groups of two, each one watching out for the other. If all else fails, use the gas. These human bodies react badly to it, so that gives us the advantage.

"After the blood mutants have been captured, return to the ship. We will not wait for anyone who gets left behind. In the event of all this failing, Grand Master will send reinforcements. Be prepared, more of these bastards are coming, so move quickly. Oh, and before I forget, the girl with the red hair is mine. Understood?"

"Yes, Lord Grim."

****************

As the Granians, the real ones, prepared to roll out, the remaining troops in the ArkVille Main Ship dispersed themselves and surrounded Ace and Cherry. The two siblings, both in their Blood Mutant Forms, were the main fighters, and the military troops were on their sides, ready to assist in any way they could.

Their arrangement went like this: The Normal Units, those without Gifted traits, were placed on the left- and right-hand outskirts. The Gifted were on the front line, center, and back, with Ace and Cherry positioned at the back.

Above them were aircraft large enough to carry five people: two normal, two Gifted, and one pilot. In total, there were about twenty of those aircraft, each waiting for the chance to fire at the Granians.

"This is unexpected, don't you think, sister?" Ace spoke to Cherry as they stood at the extreme front, ready to kill anything that wasn't human.

"Unexpected, no. Surprising, yes. These people nearly killed you," Cherry replied. "I'm just glad we have backup. I don't think I'd be able to handle Grim."

"Mind if we join?" Chris and Sky asked as they landed beside them. "Glad we've got backup, am I right?"

"Both of you," General Jack called out to Chris and Sky. "Move to the back now. It's not safe being close to those two."

"But sir, we..."

"That's an order. Now move." Sky and Chris did as they were commanded and moved to the front line where the other Gifted warriors were. Once there, they were given beast weapons to help give their bodies an energy boost.

"We've got movement."

"Everyone, load your weapons," Jack ordered. "Aircraft Units, FIRE!"

The barrels on the aircraft spun as rounds of gunfire were shot at Grim's ship. During the human-Granian first encounter, bullets barely did anything to them, so now the humans used an alternative firepower source: Beast weapons.

While shots were being fired, the Gifted fighters on the aircraft used their long-ranged powers to inflict further damage. All of this intense firepower caused a thick cloud of dust to rise up, followed by the sounds of bodies breaking apart and creatures screaming in agony.

However, just when the humans thought they were winning, Granians started jumping out from the dust clouds and smashing themselves into the aircraft, blowing them up in an instant. Before anything else could be done, all the aircraft were destroyed, with close to no survivors.

"HOSTILES!"

"ArkVille Soldiers, ADVANCE!"

"GRANIANS! KILL AND CONQUER!"

*ROOOOOAAARRR*

****************

The fight between humans and Granians commenced with Grim's forces charging in at full speed. The humans remained close together as Ace and Cherry gathered all the blood that was spilled when the aircraft pilots made the first shot.

The Granians got close enough, and both Ace and Cherry used all the blood they had gathered and created a thick blood wall. They then took two steps forward, stomped their feet, and turned the wall into nine-inch-long blood spikes.

"NOW!" Ace ordered as the Gifted with telekinetic and air control powers forced the spikes forward. As they did so, Ace and Cherry dispersed the spikes into even smaller spikes and aimed for the Granians' heads.

The first attack worked effectively, causing a great deal of damage to the Granians. However, that wasn't enough. Most of the Granians were impaled, but they weren't out of the fight just yet.

Their bodies healed quicker than humans, allowing them to get back up on their feet. With the blood previously spilled, Ace and Cherry created the same blood wall again, and the Gifted fighters sent the spikes out once more.

"IT'S NOT WORKING!" Cherry shouted out of frustration. "WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD."

"FINE, BUT STAY CLOSE." Ace and Cherry dropped the blood wall immediately and formed tendrils on their backs. They both blood-sprinted to the Granians while using their claws and tendrils to impale and kill the Granians on the spot.

The soldiers behind them opened fire, with the Gifted fighters working together to take out as many Granians as possible. The two blood siblings stuck together as they grabbed, bit, stabbed, impaled, and tore Granians apart. Their height advantage and blood skills made them inaccessible, with none of the Granians being able to lay a finger on them.

Of all the people fighting, Ace enjoyed this the most, as it was an opportunity for him to stock up on EXK and use skills he had never used before. His blood mutant form still being active was an even larger bonus, allowing him to keep up with his sister. The more he fought, the stronger his body grew, and the more rewards his system granted.

The fight went on with the humans suffering zero casualties. The Granian numbers started to decrease, but they weren't done yet, for they still had their top-ranked fighters ready to battle.

"HECK YEAH!!!" Cherry roared as she ripped a Granian's body in half with her claws. With her chest out, she roared as loud as she could, striking a great deal of fear into the Granians and some of the humans.

"CHERRY, WATCH OUT!!" Ace warned as a bright spiraling object sped through Granian bodies and slashed off his sister's left hand. The spiraling object flew higher into the air, over the Granian heads, and finally rested in the hands of the only female warrior.

"Aawww, how I've waited for this moment," Huntress moaned seductively, her face flushed, her body wiggling and twitching as she licked Cherry's blood off her ring blade. "Ready for the rematch?"

"BRING IT ON!!" Cherry angrily hissed as her arm regrew in an instant.
