A couple of days later, Katerina was at work and I was out jogging when suddenly two SUVs stopped next to me. I was taken aback, but before I could react, a couple of men stepped out and tried to kidnap me. One of them tried to tranquilize me, but I was too quick for them. I managed to fend them off and ran away as fast as I could.

I could hear one of the SUVs chasing me, but I didn't look back. Instead, I turned into an alley and quickly jumped over a large fence. I landed on the other side and continued running as fast as I could.

My heart was pounding in my chest as I ran, my breath coming in short gasps. I felt scared and vulnerable, but I knew that I had to keep going if I wanted to escape.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I emerged from the alley and found myself on a busy street. I looked around frantically, trying to spot any signs of my pursuers, but I couldn't see anything.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I knew that I was safe for now, but I also knew that I needed to be more careful in the future, this might have been the council of night. I couldn't let my guard down, not even for a moment.

As I caught my breath, I pulled out my cell phone and called Katerina. I explained what had happened and told her that I thought it might have been orchestrated by the Council of Night.

Katerina listened intently as I spoke, her voice filled with concern. She asked me if I was okay and if I needed her to come and get me, but I told her that I was fine and that I had managed to escape.

We talked for a few more minutes, and Katerina promised to look into the Council of Night and see if she could find out anything about them. She also urged me to be careful and to stay alert, reminding me that there were people out there who wanted to kill us.

I thanked her for her concern and told her that I loved her. We said our goodbyes, and I continued on my jog, my mind racing with thoughts of what had just happened.

As I ran, I couldn't help but think about the Council of Night and what they might want from me. I knew that they were a dangerous organization and that I needed to be careful if I wanted to stay safe.

But even as I thought about the danger that lay ahead, I felt a sense of determination welling up inside me. I knew that I was strong and capable and that I would do whatever it took to protect myself and my soul mate.

After the call with Liana, Katerina hung up the phone feeling worried and anxious. She knew that the Council of Night was a dangerous organization and the fact that they might be after Liana was a cause for concern.

She quickly got up from her desk and walked over to her assistant, Kassandra. She explained the situation to her and asked her to work on the schedules, as she had to leave immediately to check on Liana at the penthouse.

Kassandra nodded, and quickly got to work, while Katerina rushed out of the office and headed towards her BMW. She got in the car and started driving towards the penthouse, her mind racing with thoughts of what might have happened to her wife.

As she drove, she tried to push away her fears and focus on the task at hand. She knew that she had to be strong for Liana and that she needed to be there for her no matter what.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Katerina arrived at the penthouse. She parked the car and quickly got out, rushing towards the entrance.

She ran up the stairs and pushed open the door, her heart pounding in her chest. She called out Liana's name, but there was no answer.

Katerina's heart sank as she realized that Liana wasn't there. She quickly searched the penthouse, but there was no sign of her wife.

Feeling frustrated and worried, Katerina pulled out her phone and called Liana again. She waited anxiously as the phone rang, praying that her wife would answer.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Liana picked up the phone. Katerina breathed a sigh of relief as she heard her wife's voice, and asked her where she was.

Liana explained that she was out jogging and that she was okay. She told Katerina that she had managed to escape from her attackers, but that she was still shaken up from the incident.

Katerina listened intently as Liana spoke, her heart filled with relief that her wife was safe. She promised to come and get her as soon as she could and urged her to stay there.

With that, Katerina hung up the phone and took a deep breath.

Katerina quickly got into the car and drove to the park where Liana was jogging. She spotted her wife from a distance and drove up to her. Liana got into the car and Katerina drove them to the secret compound that Sophie and Emily had set up for them.

As they drove, Katerina couldn't help but feel relieved that Liana was safe. She knew that the Council of Night may not be the only ones who might be interested in capturing them and that Liana was in danger. She was grateful that Liana had managed to escape from her attackers.

As they pulled up to the compound, Sophie and Emily were waiting for them. Katerina parked the car and got out, hugging both of them.

"Thank you so much for setting this up," Katerina said, tears streaming down her face. "I don't know what we would do without you."

"Of course," Sophie said, hugging her back. "We're here for you, always."

Liana got out of the car and hugged Sophie and Emily as well. "Thank you," she said, her voice shaking. "Those creeps almost got me with a tranq."

Sophie and Emily led them into the compound, which was a large warehouse. It had a nice cozy and warm section, with a fire burning in the fireplace.

Katerina sat down on the couch, feeling exhausted and emotionally drained. Liana sat down next to her, and they both leaned into each other.

"What happened?" Sophie asked, sitting down across from them.

Liana took a deep breath and explained what had happened. She told them about the men who had attacked her and how she had managed to escape. She also told them about the Council of Night and how they might be after her.

Sophie and Emily listened intently, their faces filled with concern.

"We'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe," Sophie said, taking Liana's hand.

Katerina nodded, feeling grateful for their friends. She knew that they would do anything to protect them.

"Thank you," Katerina said, her voice filled with emotion. "We still don't know for sure who it was."

Sophie smiled. "Let us get to the bottom of it."

Emily and Sophie left the compound under the cover of night to hunt down the kidnappers. They found tracks at the ambush site and followed the clues out of the city and towards the countryside.

Sophie and Emily waited outside the old bar, watching for any signs of activity. They had put on their tactical gear and were ready for anything.

As they waited, they heard the sound of footsteps approaching. They quickly hid behind some nearby bushes, watching as a group of men emerged from the bar.

Sophie and Emily watched as the men got into the SUVs and drove off. They followed them at a distance, keeping their headlights off and staying in the shadows.

After driving for about an hour, the SUVs pulled into a large warehouse on the outskirts of town. Sophie and Emily parked their car nearby and approached the warehouse on foot.

They could hear the sound of voices and laughter coming from inside. They peeked through a window and saw a group of men inside, drinking and celebrating.

Sophie and Emily knew that they had to be careful. They didn't want to be seen or heard.

They waited outside the warehouse for several hours, watching and listening. Finally, they saw the men start to leave. They followed them back to their SUVs and watched as they drove off.

Sophie and Emily were able to get the license plate numbers of the SUVs and wrote them down. They knew that they would need this information later.

As they drove back to the compound, Sophie and Emily felt a sense of relief. They had found the SUVs and knew where the men were hiding out.

Sophie and Emily decided to leave the area and head back towards Katerina and Liana. They explained to them that the men they had been following were not part of the Council of Night, but instead were human traffickers who seemed to be part of some gang just outside of town.

Liana was shocked and grateful that Sophie and Emily were able to locate them. Katerina was also relieved to hear that they were not dealing with the Council of Night.

Sophie and Emily promised to keep an eye on the situation and do what they could shut down the human trafficking ring.

Liana finally smiled. "I was so worried thinking that it was the Council, but all along it was just some dumb humans."

Katerina joins her in laughter. "Should we take them out ourselves babe?"

Sophie and Emily interject. "Please, just let us take care of them."

Katerina stands up balling her fist. "Show them the true meaning of misery, no mercy, I want slow agonizing deaths for all of them."
