The Legacy Shop

I slammed the door shut and the car made that cranking noise like it was about to fall apart.

"You know, have you thought of putting this up for sale and getting a new one, at least one that doesn't make sounds like…" I motion to the yet prolonged sound.

"Sell this old lady?" she gave me a look and I shrugged. "Not a chance, I love her"

"Great" I muttered following behind her.

"So this is…" I said observing the shop we stood before, it looked pretty normal to me, I eyed the other shops laying around, it was a bit crowded for a Sunday.

"Yes the Legacy shop," Vanessa said in a weak amusement, unlocking the door. "What were you expecting? A cave?"

I snorted a laugh. "Come on I didn't say that"

She was already in. Well, I did expect a more voodoo style, but I knew better not to judge a book by its cover. I felt my phone vibrate and I quickly slid it out of my jeans pocket.

A beaming smile crossed my lips when I saw it was Dace texting.
