Fancy Seeing You here

"Ahem!" I cleared my throat looking sideways. "We all come to the mall for a different purpose"

A smile found her lips but it wasn't heartfelt. "Yes Emma, we all do"

She said my name, how-

"Emilia!"

We whirled. "I take my eyes away from you for what 2 seconds and-" Dace paused in his words, I could tell he finally took notice of me, even though he was in designer shades, I could feel his eyes on me. I stilled where I was unable to move like I was caught doing something bad. I haven't seen him for like two days and it felt like I just met him for the first time. Wearing shades was so breathtaking to him, you wouldn't tell it was him until he got close.

"You were right, her scent is truly intoxicating, I could smell her from across the mall"

I backtracked, okay what did she say?!

"Emilia" Dace said in a low tone but it was strong. She shrugged like she hadn't said anything weird just a few seconds ago.

"What do you mean by my scent?" I faced Emilia hoping for some sort of explanation.

"Emma"

At the sound of my name, I whirled back to him. "Hey," he said softly.

"H-Hey"

The sound of Emilia's gum snapping, broke the prolonged stare we had. I jumped slightly.

"I'm gonna go pick some things out, don't worry brother I only need 2 minutes"

"Fuck that!" he snapped at her, making me jump, as if noticing what he did, he lowered his tone. "Your 2 minutes are damn two hours"

Emilia smirks as she walks toward him, I noticed her heels clicking as she did. "Don't be a big bad Alpha, I will try to be quick" she left.

Dace sighed running his fingers in his raven hair, I noticed as they bounced, he faced me and I felt my body tense, my grip tightened around my bag handle.

"I'm sorry about her"

"D-Don't be… I mean I don't understand what it means to have a sister but I can tell they will be quite a handful" I blabbered.

A smile found his lips, there was another intense silence again and I found myself speaking faster than my brain. "I wouldn't have recognized you with the…" I motioned with my hand and he snickered, closing the distance between us.

He took off his shades showing me those eyes and I felt lost in them, my lips going apart slightly, a smile curled up his side lips and I quickly lowered my gaze.

"How are you?"

"Fine," I whispered. "You didn't call"

I felt his hand beneath my jaw and I felt sparks fly throughout my body, he tilted it upwards to meet his gaze.

"I would have called it just…" he paused as his jaw tightened. I felt he wanted to say something but he didn't want to at the same time. "I'm sorry"

"Why are you apologizing?"

His smile broadened. "For not calling to check up on you"

"Right" I lowered my gaze before moving it back to him. "You don't have to-"

"I do" He cut me off. "I will call you today, I promise"

"Really you don't have to-"

"Emma"

I paused with a gulp, his hand moved away from my chin to some strand of my curly hair before gently pushing it backward, all the while he did it I felt a hot chill in my body and I closed my eyes, loving how it washed upon me down to places I don't wanna mention, this feels so good as his fingers caressed my skin and I wanted him to do more. I opened my eyes and my breath seemed to catch, he was leaning down to me, our faces inches apart, our noses almost touching.

"Why do you smell so good?" he said in a ragged whisper, again with my scent, I thought he didn't like it but it was the opposite then.

"I-I-I have good shampoo" I stammered so bad and he snickered.

"It has nothing to do with shampoo, Emma"

"Then what?"

"You" he whispered against my face. "Would I sound weird if I told you I couldn't get it out of my head"

"M-My scent"

"Both," he said as his thumb gently stroked my cheek and I felt my toes curl in my shoes. What was this heavenly feeling?

"I couldn't sleep, Emma," he said as his body tensed and I knew just how serious he was. Dace was thinking of me and couldn't sleep? Dace? Thinking of me? It was-

"Emma- Oh, Dace?"

We whirled finding Sarah staring at both of us with a forced smile, I quickly pulled away but Dace didn't seem to move an inch.

"I didn't know you came here," she said with a shrug.

"Just passing by"

"Great! Emma and I came shopping, you know girly time together"

His gaze shifted to me and I nervously played with my cardigan. "I see"

"Yes, Emma shall we pay?"

"Pay?" I muttered wondering why she would use that word.

"Yes'' she shrugged but I couldn't quite get it as she whirled walking away, I followed behind and I heard footsteps behind me.

I met Sarah at the counter with the cashier, she checked the few things she got. My eyes darted to Dace.

"So" he mused and I blushed. "Shopping?"

"I really didn't come here, this is not really mine-"

"Oh no!"

"What's wrong?" I faced Sarah, she faced us with an apologetic look.

"I forgot my wallet"
