When I saw the panic and the people flowing out like some beast was hot on their tails my insides turned and my brain jammed, all I needed to know was if my mom was okay… that was the center of my fear, something happening to her, that was not something I could bear, the thought of losing her. Seeing the terror as the people streamed out of the area my main focus was getting to the top of the stage, that was where my mom would be, I prayed and hoped nothing was wrong.

But seeing the destroyed stage didn't ease me at all and I found myself rushing ahead in the mixed crowd, pushing through and trying to get to high ground. Dace called for me but I didn't listen, I wanted nothing more than to get there.

I forced my body through the cluster of people pushing and screaming but I just had to find my way through them, the closer I got the more I increased my speed, in a desperate attempt to get to the top and I did.
