Once Again

On the other side, wildly, the helpless human was grabbed again mid-air, next to be slammed with the floor within a flash, a speed resembling the red flashes of the wild eyes craving for his blood as they were staring into his eyes, saliva of wildness dripping on his face.

Max wasted no time in landing his powerful fangs on the man's neck for them to do their jobs: He sucked the blood with lust; sucked the screaming man's life out of him with no mercy; refilled his sanity within seconds as he filled his energy with the red fluid; deeply sniffed the appetizing metallic scent with a growl; gulped some of the blood with delight as his eyes glowed with intensity.

Blood running down his neck;

It happened again;

His head feeling lighter;

And he was sooner back to his sense;

And he well knew what he was doing now, looking at the unblinking eyes of the frozen man he forced to eternal silence:

[You have just consumed human blood!]

[Your Blood Lust is fully tamed!]

[You are no more a Wild Vampire]

[Warning: Your health is extremely, dangerously low]

'Oh no. No.'

It felt disastrous, like hell, like the past.

'I... I... I just murdered someone innocent, again... for being a Vampire.' Max unconsciously had a single tear rolling down his cheek while crawling back, his mouth and its sides covered in thick red.

On his way to the Royal Castle, he killed and assisted in the deaths of many Blue Forces. But this one, this death, it was something else. He slowly stopped crawling away as every bit of vigor to be found in him was drained by his thoughts.

Instead of pushing the blame of his action on Lucas, Penelope, Gold or Cameron, he sat down with a blank mind, reflecting how he once did the same thing to the innocent James family and to so many others as well.

Reality of the bitter truth was that the bitter past likes to keep repeating and repeating itself, he realized as his other eye also unconsciously released its own drop of tear, both of the moistened red glowing eyes motionlessly staring at the man he just killed.

Max's expression, unreadable;

The world suddenly felt empty;

So empty, so cold, so repetitive, so cruel;

No one here to feel the same as he felt, lonely in his abyss of internal padisposalin… once again.

Max's life was cursed.

Cameron looked at the scene with a deadpan face before he was informed through the mind-link that the Princess had arrived. He looked at the dead body with slight nervousness, knowing that Hazel wouldn't like to see something like that.

«You should hurriedly take away the dead's body right now!»

As the Royal Force waiting outside Max's cage took the human's dead body over his shoulders and left following an opposite route, Max couldn't take his eyes off his horrified face. To even think of moving a finger at the Royal Force made him feel weak.

Hazel made her way towards Max cage. Her always-naturally helix shoulder length black hair, the brown jacket and black jeans, and the way she walked made her look like a teenager boy instead of a teenager girl. But then, her silhouette screamed "this is royal blood!" to the Wild Vampires hungrily gazing at her.

Cameron calmly stroded towards her by the time she finally arrived so as to hug her "good morning".

"Morning to you too. Has he been fed blood?" Max heard her asking from within his cage that furthered his pain of the bitter reality. Then he saw her and Cameron entering the cage, their hands intimately interwoven.

Hazel contacted Cameron:

«You fed him a living human's blood, for what reason? I told you not to do so, haven't I!»

Cameron only sighed when Hazel removed her hands from his own, knowing that he had no words to defend his actions. Hazel could be easy-going but also, she could be offhand and intolerant most especially when she was inside a dark place.

Hazel's phobia of darkness could always get the best of her. Cameron could hear her heart beat, he could tell she was scared, all her guards were excited, and then the best for him was self control.

Without exchanging words, the duo walked outside the cage and wore breathing masks over their faces.

'And now, what?'

The cage was instantly blown with a white mist:

From up.

From the sides.

From below.

And it was all misty as if Penelope was about to show up again; thick mist in its own way, choking in some way.

[Warning: Your health is extremely low]

[Warning: You have inhaled a magical gas called Truth Mist]

[Your words will entirely be subjected to solid facts with zero immediate response denial]

Cameron adjusted his white sleeve and after clearing his throat, he called while entering the cage, "Vampire Slave," before removing the breathing mask. "What is your name?"

Max tried staying silent but his words formed and uttered themselves hoarsely: "Maximus Everett." He looked at Cameron with shock and widened eyes, truly not believing what Truth Mist just did to him.

That felt weird.

That felt unreal to him.

That was not fair.

Cameron paused his majestic strodes with Hazel by his side. "Where are you from?" He added two steps with that said.

And then came Max's mouth moving on its own: "Anyway city."

'No. This is not good.'

"What have ya done to me?"

"Keep quiet and speak when you are questioned only." warned Cameron.

"Under whose command did you come to this realm?" This time around, Hazel was the one asking the questions in a more light-hearted manner. "Who sent you to attack the Royal Castle with the Electeds on my day?" She removed the breathing mask for her sexy voice to be clearer.

"What is your gain in committing a suicide of bombing us all together?" She looked into Max's pain emitting eyes with no pity. "And what is the chemistry between you and Gold?"

[Clue: Willingly, answer the questions with fewer words.]

Max silently read the System's relieving clue. "Ah came independently, meaning no one sent me. That is, a'came by myself. A'never intended to attack anyone nor to harm any soul. Impossible. The bomb, ah still don't know why it happened."

All the while, Max held Hazel's soft gaze, still in shock that his mouth was moving without his will. He stayed silent for a little while and carefully selected his next words, which seemed futile:

"Between myself and Gold is a weak chemistry. He wants me to inform Lucas that he should bring him his golds. In return, he promised to help me reach into the Royal Castle safely."

Unsatisfied, "Tell me the story of why you are here from first to end." Cameron smiled.
