108 Oliver's true face

In a matter of seconds, Oliver was up the stairs, but he still couldn't hear anything or smell any blood. "Anabel," he called, but no response came even after he called twice more.

Oliver opened door after door and the rooms were all a mess. 'Did the police officer do this during his search?' He could still smell Anabel's scent faintly in the room. 'She was here not too long.'

Oliver allowed his nose to lead him where his lover's scent was the strongest. He entered the room where her scent lingered, but it didn't look any different from the rest of the rooms he entered.

All his senses were on high alert as his silver eyes traveled the messy space, but he couldn't hear Anabel calling out to him from the side of the room nor could he see her or smell her blood that stained the floor and walls.
