Anabel's eyes momentarily widened as her breath hitched in her throat when the man who had been occupying her thoughts since she stormed out of the hospital suddenly appeared before her.

She was pacing the back of the hotel, preparing herself to see him, and was trying to decide on what she would say to him, but she feared he would see that her words were dishonest if she told him that she overreacted and didn't mind him sleeping with other women.

Oliver is the type of guy to always maintain eye contact while you're talking to him. Anabel remembered him telling her that there are two things that can never lie, the eyes and the memories of a person.

She could mask her hurt with a smile, but she wouldn't be able to mask the pain reflecting in her eyes.

Anabel tucked her hair behind her ear, "Hey." 

"Hey."

Anabel intertwined her hands behind her before nervously rocking back and forth. "What's that on your shoulder?"
