About 3 years ago, Gilbert got a piece of news from his girlfriend, who is also a bookstore owner that a strong mage came to the city. Gilbert was skeptical at first as he knew that no strong mages would come to this city. After all from the standards of strong mages, this place was just another dump in this big world.

He had known that the fact that the strong mages tend to have something called a spatial pouch with them. It is like any other pouch but is tempered by magic. A person could fit a lot of things in that pouch. But that man in question didn't use a spatial pouch in the shop. He just used to touch the things and those books vanish in thin air. That was the sole evidence that Gilbert needed to understand that he was not dealing with a normal mage here. That man was a monster.
