13 Chapter 13

It has been two days since Neo's disappearance and her family decided it was best they not go to the police. They were worried they would not be able to remember the details of their made-up story and it would only draw police suspicion, rather than help them find Neo. Gladys collapsed when she heard the news but has tried to faith.

"I can't believe that they aren't allowing boats to go out at sea" June said as they entered their house. They planned on renting a boat again to search the area where they last saw Neo themselves.

"Two more children were found washed out, so I guess they've begun to investigate," Jack said.

"Then wouldn't it be wise to tell them the truth? Gladys asked "We can also try to find the boy Dineo saved from drowning," she suggested. "I just think that if the police are investigating the drownings, we must tell them what we know."

"What we know sounds crazy," Vuyo said. June walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
