-Third person twelve moon 285 AC

In the cold and frozen north, beyond the Wall, a great giant moved through the forests in search of food, swaying the tall trees as if they were twigs. Meanwhile, men lurked around the beast, perfectly camouflaged in the white snow.

"Look at the size of that shit... how are we going to kill it with arrows and spears if it charges at us?" said one of the men slowly approaching the giant.

"Poison... coat everything with poison quickly... I'm going to try my luck... let's try our luck with this old tongue... I hope our guest hasn't taught us wrong," said the Finnish leader.

All the Finns in white animal skins carefully took out small glass vials with a yellowish liquid and began to apply it to the tips of their arrows and spears to combat the giant.

Aleksanteri, the leader of the Finns, had been preparing his journey beyond the Wall for a long time, but first, Skagos had to be stabilized. After several months of harsh Finnish rule, the inhabitants of the hall had become docile to their new masters, freeing up the Finnish elite to undertake the most dangerous journey.

For this, only a hundred of the most dangerous men from the Finnish auxiliaries and a couple of Teutonic knights who had become apparitions to the locals, attacking with speed and brutality never seen before, were selected. They disappeared within minutes with prisoners to interrogate and learn the local language.

Although this elite group could easily subdue small groups of wildlings, their presence was more of a diplomatic mission. Since the Finns were already overstretched, any additional land operation to conquer the wildlings would be impossible. Therefore, only a group was sent as diplomats to convince them that serving voluntarily under the Prussian banner was the best option.

During their attacks, they gathered information from large groups of wildlings to offer the deal. While following the trail of a group that met Aleksanteri's conditions, they encountered a very hairy giant.

Aleksanteri walked slowly towards the giant while all his men watched with their weapons ready for the worst scenarios.

When Aleksanteri approached about fifty meters from the giant, it started speaking to him in the ancient language.

"Greetings, venerable one... may I have a few words with your honorable person?" said Aleksanteri, speaking the ancient language more fluently as he walked slowly towards the giant.

"Go away," replied the giant with a dry voice.

"I insist, venerable one... I just want to exchange words..." Aleksanteri insisted, but when he saw the giant take a log as a weapon, he began to step back.

"Calm down... there's no need to get aggressive..." The giant took a few steps, raising the club, but did not pursue Aleksanteri.

"Go away," the giant repeated.

"Alright, alright, no need to get aggressive, venerable giant," said Aleksanteri, stepping back.

In the end, the Finn decided not to fight, as he didn't want to lose anyone fighting against a beast that might be similar to one of the men he knew.

"Let's go, let's follow the trail... I don't want to fight something bigger and stronger than Lothar himself," said Aleksanteri, pointing to the white smoke rising on the horizon.

The Finnish and Prussian elite forces moved through the snow with skill, hiding their presence at all times as they wanted to enter the wildling camp without having to fight.

For several minutes, their journey was quiet, with only the occasional herbivore moving through the woods and snow in search of food.

"Shh... wildling patrol... everyone breathe through your nose, don't let the breath escape through your mouth, or they might detect us... cover yourselves with snow and leaves and wait for them to move away," said Aleksanteri, covering himself with leaves and snow.

In a matter of seconds, the hundred men hid from the wildling patrol and watched as they tried to hunt some of the animals they had previously ignored.

"They've moved away, forward again, we must be close, the smoke gives them away, the information seems correct, there's a good number of campfires for there to be a large amount of smoke," said Aleksanteri, guiding his men.

The group of Finns and Prussians avoided two more wildling patrols until finally, from a small hill, they could see a large wildling camp, which was somewhat empty because much of the population was out hunting.

"And now, what do we do, Aleksanteri? Down there, there must be at least three thousand wildlings, even with four Teutonics on our side, we'll have to wait for them to make a fatal mistake to force our entry, they're too many," said a Finnish captain while observing the camp with a spyglass.

"Nonsense, just have confidence... watch and learn... you four with me," said Aleksanteri to his subordinates and gave orders to the Teutonic knights, also taking some swords and daggers they had brought with them in large quantities.

"Leave the helmets, we don't want them to think we're southerners until we can speak, only the woolen masks and skins, no visible steel," said the Finnish leader.

The Teutonic knights removed their winged helmets and adjusted their skins, then followed Aleksanteri to the entrance of the camp.

"Halt... who are you... halt... halt... I SAID HALT," said a young guard at the entrance, pointing the spear at the four Prussian giants and their small leader.

"What the hell is wrong with you?... is this how you welcome guests of your leader?... huh?" said Aleksanteri in the ancient tongue, standing upright before moving the bronze-tipped spear to a different side.

"Take off that mask... I can't see your face," said the other guard, who seemed more experienced in his job.

"Oh, in this cold? Are you crazy? I thought after this long journey I made, they would welcome me with open arms, and they have me here almost freezing... hey, be kind and let the leader know I've arrived," said Aleksanteri rubbing his hands with his gloves before speaking to the young guard.

The guard was about to go and inform, but the veteran guard stopped him.

"Don't go yet... I don't recognize you, and I don't recall seeing you in the tribe," said the guard with a serious tone.

"Oh, really? Is this some kind of bad joke? I was here not long ago... if you're going to make me wait longer than necessary, I'll take what I brought, and your leader won't like that," said Aleksanteri, shaking his bag with metallic objects.

"Uh... what did you bring?" both guards asked in disbelief.

"Vah... seriously? Look, steel swords, the best quality you'll find around here, and some spearheads... now, are you going to let me wait, or should I just leave, and when your leader finds out, your head will stain the white snow?" said Aleksanteri, showing the contents of one of the bags.

The guards reacted, widening their eyes in complete surprise at a bag loaded with steel.

''But, how... did you get steel?'' asked both guards with disbelief.

"don't make me waste time, take me to your leader, I have to do business quickly before the sun sets," said Aleksanteri, closing his bag and attempting to enter.

"This... this is fine, but they stay outside," said the veteran guard, pointing to the Teutonic knights.

"Who do you think is carrying my goods? Exactly, they are. Tell me, why did I come here?" Aleksanteri said sarcastically.

"Oh... to exchange your swords..." said the younger guard.

"Exactly, and how can I show my goods to your chief if I can't bring it in? Or do you think someone like me can carry so much weight?" Aleksanteri said disgustedly, showing the clear height difference between them.

"Fine... fine... fine... go ahead," said the older guard, somewhat tired of dealing with Aleksanteri.

"Thanks... oh, it seems my memory fails me, where was it... back there or in the center... or the one close by?" Aleksanteri said doubtfully.

"The center... that's Chief Tormund's tent," said the younger guard.

While the older guard looked at Aleksanteri with intrigue again.

"Thanks... I had forgotten," Aleksanteri said, entering the camp.

Aleksanteri observed the camp, watching the usual activities of those who were not only going hunting, but not for long, as the unusual attire of his group caught the eyes of everyone, prompting questions about who they were.

After a short walk, Aleksanteri reached his destination and his new conflict, guards again.

"Who are you?" asked a guard in bronze armor.

"A friend of Chief Tormund... I'm here to do business; in fact, he's expecting me," Aleksanteri said cheerfully.

"I wasn't aware that someone would come," said the guard with a serious tone.

"And here I am... or am I a ghost? Oh no, I'm real... he's waiting for me. They wouldn't let me in if he wasn't expecting me, right?" Aleksanteri said, touching his clothes with a scared tone before changing to a friendly tone.

"Well, if it's true... alright, your companions... too?" said the guard somewhat nervously.

"Of course... see for yourself, steel swords and many... it's too much weight for someone so short; I need their help," Aleksanteri said with a sad tone.

"Alright... come in," said the guard, opening the tent and entering, guiding Aleksanteri inside.

Upon entering, the Finn found a burly man with shiny red hair that was slowly turning gray, surrounded by his family eating.

"Chief Tormund, one of your friends has brought something to negotiate," said the guard.

The chief stared at Aleksanteri.

"Idiot, he's not my friend, and I don't even know him," the chief said after putting down the deer leg he was eating.

The guard didn't get a chance to say anything when a Teutonic knight applied a chokehold, leaving him unconscious in seconds.

"Well... I hope we can get along, Chief Tormund," Aleksanteri said as he sat in a chair and placed his Valyrian steel dagger on the neck of Tormund's daughter, while the knights surrounded his family.

"So, this plan of yours was to steal my daughter Munda," Tormund said, his face furious.

"Don't talk nonsense... at best, I only use your daughter to threaten you... so don't scream... I don't want blood to be shed. I apologize for my methods, but I had to get a message to you, and this is the best way," Aleksanteri apologized.

"What's the message?" Tormund said, glaring at Aleksanteri.

"My king, King Wilhelm von Hohenzollern of Prussia, makes you this offer, and I, his loyal servant, fulfill his will. The King of Prussia offers you lands south of the Wall, in the lands known as The Reach, the most fertile lands throughout Westeros... in exchange for your loyalty and military service in the future," Aleksanteri said, occasionally moving his dagger on Tormund's daughter's neck.

"Oh, are you a Kneeler? Tell me, does the chains of submission bother you, little one?" Tormund said.

"I'll give you advice, Tormund, don't annoy someone who can make your entire family die... and no, they don't bother me because my king is worthy. There is no person who cares more about the well-being of his people than he, who fulfills his duty regardless of his own interests. You, Tormund, have before you the offer that was once given to my people centuries ago."

"Fertile lands for service... since I'm not Prussian... I have no blood or cultural ties to my king... if you wonder what will happen to you? I am living proof... they will treat you with respect, and above all, they will give you autonomy... the Prussians are very kind to those who serve them well, and my people has done so well and faithfully, and we have been rewarded. You can speak your language, follow your religion freely... the only thing that changes is the form of paying tribute, you will not be free to choose about it" Aleksanteri said, removing the dagger from Munda's neck.

"Why couldn't I?" Tormund said, this time more calmly.

"The state of Prussia needs soldiers, soldiers like me... tools to kill its enemies. It needs your people to provide men, and in return, he will give you steel and lands," Aleksanteri said.

"Whom could you kill, little one?" Tormund said, laughing a bit after drinking something from a horn.

"I am the person they send when someone must die... I have killed thousands of men who thought like you... all dead," Aleksanteri replied and signaled to a Teutonic knight.

And he threw a huge number of swords on the table.

"Serve my king, and you will be rewarded... just swear your loyalty, and I will take your oath," Aleksanteri said.

"And what if I refuse to kneel?" Tormund said defiantly.

"As I said, I don't want blood, but if you force me, we will kill as many as we can before you kill me... but then, my apprentice will come for you, and he will do it with an army at his back," Aleksanteri said.

"HA, HA, HA, HA, you really have guts, man, entering my tribe, mocking my guards, stealing my daughter, threatening to kill me," Tormund said after laughing loudly and stood up, walking toward Aleksanteri.

Tormund came close to aleksanteri only because Aleksanteri allowed it

"You really are small," Tormund said, measuring himself with Aleksanteri.

"Do you accept or reject, oh..." Aleksanteri tried to say, but he had to dodge the blow Tormund tried to give him.

Aleksanteri dodged and grabbed Tormund's arm, then kicked him against one of Tormund's feet to make him lose balance.

When the wild chief was falling, Aleksanteri directed his fall using his free hand, placing it on the chest and giving more force to the impact.

Tormund fell, and Aleksanteri quickly started hitting him in the face.

Tormund's sons tried to help him, but they were subdued by the Teutonic knights.

Aleksanteri only gave him a couple more punches until he stood up and stared at him.

"Really? I have fought with stronger and bigger men, and still, I have defeated them," Aleksanteri said, wiping the blood from his fists.

''HA, HA, HA, I wanted to see that you weren't lying... Toregg, feed my friend here,'' said Tormund, laughing loudly.

One of Tormund's sons gave him some food, which Aleksanteri immediately ate, making sure everyone saw it.

''Well, let's say I accept the deal... but I'll only kneel when I meet your king and he earns my respect,'' said Tormund, wiping a bit of blood from his face.

''Great... because you'll also have to earn his respect,'' said Aleksanteri.

''What do you mean? You're not taking me south, are you?'' said Tormund, this time more serious.

''Yes, but the king has already given you your first mission... here it is... I made sure to translate it into your language,'' said Aleksanteri.

''I can't read,'' replied Tormund.

''Well... your mission will be to conquer the rest of the tribes... bring them under your command, either by force or diplomacy... do that, and we'll send you south immediately. The rest will go to Skagos until we confirm their loyalties... bonus points if you get me a giant... I'm afraid our help will be limited... we are overstretched, so only my men will assist you, there are a hundred of them... but each one has killed more men than live in your tribe... they'll provide tactical support, and from time to time, we'll give you more steel,'' said Aleksanteri.

''And what about you?'' asked Tormund.

''The king needs his deadliest tool by his side... he needs me... but I'll be back when you finish or when we consider that your mission has taken too long... one of my men will act as a liaison with the island of Skagos... he's a warg... respect him... in the hills, the rest of my men are there, and they have some steel armor... we'll send more when we can,'' said Aleksanteri, exiting the tent.

''Wait,'' Tormund tried to say, but the Finn had already left the tent, heading towards the coast.
