Blood And Iron (ASOIAF/GoT)

Reincarnation is not bad, says someone who has gone through the process several times, there are only certain occasions that you die at the moment you are born or have a long and boring life as a servant of some noble, the most normal is to reincarnate as the 99%, but when I finally had the opportunity to reincarnate as the center of political power, a European king, fate played a cruel joke on me, sending me to Westeros, the land of treachery and intrigue, luckily I was not transported alone, but sometimes I think it would have been better if I had come alone. Disclaimer: I do not own Game of Thrones or Asoiaf. Disclaimer II:Some stories will feature topics such as torture, rape, sexism and xenophobia. These topics do not represent me, I only seek to give the most historical perspective possible to the social relations of a medieval era. Disclaimer III:I don't speak English, I am in the process of learning, so I will make several grammatical mistakes, any help on the lexicon is accepted, I am not a person so deeply versed in the lore of GoT

Well guys, with this chapter we close Robert's rebellion, the next arc will be, closing the wounds, focusing a lot on kingdom building and third-party views, little MC presence, a lot of fighting against noble and religious rebels and establishing the Prussian centralized government system in the reach and setting the seeds for the future.

I remind you that next week I think I will not upload chapters (if I get motivated I will upload one), I exhausted and stressed by the exams this week and I need to rest a little more, but I assure you that I will be back, besides, I will read thesis about interesting things for the chapters of kingdom building, you know I like realism, but always with a little fantasy.

leave your ideas or what you like to see

Leave your reviews so far or update the ones you have posted, always with sincerity please, even if it's only one star do it, it's the only way to learn (obviously be critical, don't give me a star without text because I won't understand anything).

Mucho texto XD

----------------------------------

POV of Wilhelm

''I'll bet the week's pay that the Baratheon wins,'' said one of my officers.

''I'm in, my money's on the Targaryen,'' said another officer.

Most of my officers started betting on who would win the duel.

Robert's duel against Rhaegar was still going on, all the scopes were focused on them, waiting for one of the Westerosi champions to fall, as it would mean the defeat of the other side if the moral blow was devastating enough.

Every attempt to strike from Robert generated sounds of joy or disappointment among my officers who already some had their favorite and earning several coins depended on who won the combat

''Quite agile the Targaryen, wearing plate armor and with water on his feet he moves fast enough to dodge Robert's powerful blows'' said Charles.

''Can you tell from here?'', I asked him

''I speak from experience, not easy to dodge while you are covered in steel and have your feet in water and Robert's blows must powerful because he takes his time swinging his war hammer, I would say one blow and it would kill him'' Charles said

''The beauty of blunt weapons, no matter how much steel you have on you one good blow to the ribs or head and you are dead'' said Helmuth

As we discussed the duel we watched as Rhaegar managed to drive his sword into one of the weak points of Robert's armor, one of the armpit joints.

Shouts of celebration could be heard from some of my men, while others were kicking the floor and cursing at the ground.

'Apparently Robert lost, too bad, either way, it doesn't change anything'.

But Robert managed to catch Rhaegar with his arm

''He's dead'' said Charles

Robert's mighty cry of rage echoed across the battlefield and he struck Rhaegar with his Warhammer, knocking him into the river.

We stood watching to see if Rhaegar would rise, but when we saw the water around Rhaegar stained with the Targaryen's blood it assured us of what we thought

Rhaegar was dead

''Scheiße'' shouted an officer, putting away his spyglass.

''Verdammt, mein Glück,'' said another.

While other officers were celebrating that they had won the wager.

''Ha, ha, ha, ha, these idiots, betting on a battle, well, shall we get into the fight?'', said Helmuth laughing at the losers' luck

''Let's wait a little longer, but have the men prepare formations we will be charging the enemy lines shortly'' I said as I continued to concentrate on the fight.

I continued to watch the fighting as my men retreated to bring our men back, the fighting continued, but to my surprise Rhaegar's death had not affected the royalist side.

The royalists were still fighting and keeping the pressure on the flanks and the center of the battle was decisively won by the royalists to the point that they were driving the rebels out of the river.

'Strange, coincidentally, when they see their leaders dying they just break and run away'.

I looked at Charles and he was as surprised as I was.

''Strange, very strange, at this rate Robert's duel against Rhaegar won't mean anything'' said Charles

''Yep, well, we must get into the bloodbath, it's perfect timing'' I said looking at the battle and I looked at where the sun was

''Oh this will be perfect, the sun will be on our backs, nothing better for a triumphant entry'' I said as I put on my helmet for the battle

''Will you fight my liege?'', asked Charles.

''Yes, let's hope he doesn't get stupid from a blow, it would be terrible, ha, ha, ha'' I said laughing with a little nervousness.

''Lose caution, the best of my brothers will be protecting you'' said Charles.

I nodded to the Teutonic knight and as my knights began to arrive I got on my horse and grabbed my kopia made sure everything was in place and joined the cavalry formation leading 'almost' from the front.

And slowly we began to march trying not to generate too much noise so that the surprise of our charge would be as destructive as possible.

Overcoming the hills that gave us protection from prying eyes we found that Robert's army was almost defeated.

''Meine Herren, this is the day we will place the final nail in the Targaryen's coffin, their tyranny dies today, this will be the ultimate sacrifice, we must overcome to reclaim what is ours by right of conquest, so I ask you once again my brothers in arms, fight and bring glory to our kingdom''I said my little motivational speech

''Für das Vaterland'' said all my knights.

We began to gallop towards our enemies in a wedge formation, twenty thousand knights in full plate armor charging directly at the enemy infantry who had their rearguard neglected.

The Helmuth's men would wait for the time to cut off heads with their sabers

And the infantry would just keep up with us even though they would arrive much later

When we were almost a kilometer away from the enemy formations we began to gallop at the top speed of our steeds.

''GOTT MIT UNS'' I shouted

'''GOTT MIT UNS''' shouted my knights.

--------------------------------------------------------

The royalist army had been surprised when thousands of knights were charging towards their back, many did not know what to do, some commanders tried to prepare their ranks, but the great majority of the forces were in the river and they had to be fighting against the force of the flow and be aware of the holes in the river.

The Prussian knights presented a wall of enormous lances, surpassing any lance that the royalist side had, although in some areas they managed to present a wall of shields with the lances aimed against the cavalry, it was not enough to face the powerful charge of the foreign knights.

The first Kopia that hit a shield exploded as it was supposed to do the spear dispersing the force of the impulse towards his opponent making him fall.

This was repeated hundreds of times almost destroying the royalist formation, while more and more knights continued to connect their kopias against the infantry

And then crashing into the huge steeds of the Prussian knights, killing many by the collision and more by the hooves of the animals of those unlucky enough to have fallen to the ground.

The Prussian vanguard cut through the enemy lines like a hot knife through butter splitting the royalist lines in two.

When all the momentum of the charge had been lost, the Prussian knights began to use their weapons and kill as many as they could

Axes, maces, swords, all kinds of weapons could be seen in the cavalry formation.

The sounds of metal being crushed and bones being broken was the most common sound, before the violent onslaught of the Prussian knights.

The royalists were now almost surrounded fighting between two forces and most were terrified of the giant, screaming Teutonic knights who were shouting with incredible fury.

The greatest example of this was Charles, the Teutonic maester who when he lost control in the fight and went into his murderous trance was almost unstoppable, fully using his two meters and twenty centimeters in height and his one hundred and eighty kilos, completely covered in steel, he was a beast that could not be stopped.

Charles threw himself fearlessly into combat, spears slid against his armor, swords bounced off, axes seemed to have no effect on him, mace blows only caused the Prussian champion to focus his attention on the person using it

All the royalists were trying to stop him, but nothing helped because the Prussian giant was closely followed by his brothers who were trying to keep up with their master in his massacre.

--------------------------------------

The charge had been a resounding success, they could not stop us in the slightest.

Some of my knights had already had to dismount because of the wounds suffered by their steeds in the battle, one of them was Charles who led the charge, his steed died a few seconds after colliding with the enemies and now he was fighting on foot followed by some comrades

While I was still on my horse now with sword in hand after killing an infantryman with my Kopia and crushing another one with my steed.

I kept moving on my horse, looking for enemies.

My first opponent was a dornish spearman, who preferred to aim at me with his spear than at my steed.

I managed to dodge the blow that was aimed at my face and I was able to catch his spear with my free hand and I brought him closer to me when I saw that he did not want to drop his spear.

I swung my sword and tried to give him a cut to the torso, the cut was... clean..... too clean, I almost cut him in half with a single cut, going through the chain mail and padded doublet as if it were nothing.

'These are very good scissors'

I was amazed for a second by the sharpness of the Valyrian steel sword Aleksanteri told me that he had cut a knight in half like it was nothing, but I thought he was exaggerating a bit, but apparently not.

While I was thinking a soldier jumped at me trying to throw me off my horse.

The soldier tried to push me and stab me with a dagger, I managed to grab him by the neck while we struggled and with a lot of effort I managed to get his neck to my sword to slice it off.

'Shit, this is what I don't like about fights, one second you lose your concentration and you're dead'.

'I must keep fighting'

Charles was already deep into the battle, he had created a tremendous hole in the enemy lines with his brothers.

I kept moving on my horse, looking for distracted enemies fighting my men to give him a deadly cut with the Valyrian steel sword.

After a few minutes, I managed to kill another three and I was already covered in blood.

I couldn't find anyone I could recognize, and to keep fighting would be useless.

but when I saw a white armor

I couldn't tell who it was, but it doesn't matter if I manage to fight him and kill him, it will be a battle to remember.

''HEY, clear the way'' I called my bodyguard's attention to them.

My men charged, leaving me a clear path to the royal guard.

I spurred my horse and charged at him with sword held high.

The royal guard did not disappoint, he also drew his sword and charged at me.

We both clashed swords twice before we were separated by our horses.

We turned our steeds and charged again

Again we clashed swords twice and I managed to hit his shield once but again we were separated.

Most of the soldiers were concentrating on fighting for their lives or watching the duel which left me calm that I would not get a spear in the back.

Again, I spurred my horse and we charged.

This time our horses collided and we both lost our balance, I released my feet from the stirrups and pushed him off his horse as he struggled to regain his balance.

Swiftly, I got off my horse

The royal guard had fallen backwards into the river and was trying to get up so that his armor would not fill with water.

Before he could get up, I put a foot on his helmet causing his head to be submerged in the water.

I made sure there was no one around me, and grabbed him by the shoulders to stab him in the junction of the chest and neck armor.

As a red puddle was forming around me, I quickly stood up and secured the body of the royal guard.

My knights covered me as I lifted the body onto my horse.

'We'll see if anyone recognizes your face'.

The battle was almost over and I could see how many royalists were scattering, running in all directions.

When we heard the trumpets making a charging sound, it meant that Helmuth had started his headhunt with his hussars

'I suppose the duke will have his buffet of all the heads you can cut off now?'

I moved with my bodyguards around the battlefield, looking for the last pockets of resistance among the royalists to be quickly eliminated.

There was no quarter, it didn't matter if they surrendered, only the nobles who surrendered were spared the rest, they were just killed on the spot

When there were only bodies of both sides floating down the river, I noticed that Charles was in the middle of a dozen bodies, breathing heavily.

Charles, are you all right'' I asked the knight who was staring blankly at the battlefield.

I could see his red eyes staring at me as I caught his attention.

''Son..... pardon my king'' said Charles quite agitated turning his head realizing his mistake.

''Yes my king I feel fine, a few scratches and hard blows I got with maces, but fine, I think I killed about thirty, I lost count when my mace broke, when I was breaking the skull of a Dornish knight'' said Charles more calmly.

''THIRTY, Scheiße, and I was happy to kill six, ha, ha, ha''well you have more experience than me''I said laughing

''Well, not bad for your first time in battle'' said Charles happily.

''Yes, but it's not my thing, I'm better at being behind the lines giving orders, come on Robert must be waiting for us'' I said showing the direction of the rebels.

''A royal guard?'', asked Charles.

''Yes, I don't know who he is, but he fought fiercely and he was skilled, maybe if we were on foot, I could have seen how skilled he was, but we fought on horseback'' I said to the knight.

Charles nodded and joined my group that was advancing towards the rebel camp.

As we advanced, we saw how my knights had already begun to finish off the wounded and those who were playing dead.

After a short ride, we arrived at a camp that had sounds of celebration and screams of agony

The guards let us pass, they had recognized my banner without any problems.

I saw how some maesters or some kind of doctors were cutting limbs to the wounded and apparently without any measure to fight the pain, many were fainting from the incredible pain.

''Send for our medics, it looks like they are going to need them and bring Robert's gift'' I said to one of my knights who quickly galloped off to our camp.

I recognized the large tent where I had bargained with Lord Arryn and entered the tent.

I found that most of the lords were celebrating and drinking to today's victory.

''LORD HOHENZOLLERN, SER CHARLES'' shouted Robert with a cup in his hand.

All eyes focused on me and the giant next to me.

Jon Arryn took a chair and placed it for me to sit near him.

I walked to my seat and saw Brynden and Lyn's gaze on me.

'They must be angry about Aleksanteri'.

I sat down in the chair and relaxed a little.

''Tell us Hohenzollern, how did you like your time in the reach?'' said Hoster Tully.

''The heat is horrible, but everything else was quiet'' I said as I took off my helmet and smiled.

''Yes, that's good to know..... but I meant the fact that you ignored our orders'' said Lord Arryn.

I scratched my head and made a thoughtful face.

''Weird?''.... am I sure the tyrell army was defeated or were there two tyrell armies?''I asked in surprise.

''You know what we mean, mercenary,'' said Hoster.

''Just apply strategy and common knowledge, the tyrell had a huge army and depended on supplies for their daily feasts, we cut them off and they had to return and I had taken all their castles and their families, they didn't fight, they just surrendered'' I said smiling.

Lord Arryn began to rub his foreheads, the old lord's veins were showing.

''But was it necessary to put my son together with that madman?'' asked Lord Corbray.

''I suppose you mean my scoutmaster, he is the best mapmaker, his men came as scouts and we put them to work as scouts'' I answered Lord Corbray.

''ENOUGH, that's no way to treat someone who helped us in this battle,'' said Robert.

''I have just one more doubt, are all Prussians as dishonorable as you, using deception to conquer castles?'', said lord Hoster.

Robert's furious gaze focused on lord Hoster who sought to humiliate me.

''I doubt it, my people are honorable and so am I, but I am not an idiot, I understand that war must be won, no matter what, an opportunity lost, is an opportunity given to the enemy, that opportunity will cost lives and I do not think of my soldiers as a bargaining chip like you Lord Hoster, I care about them, every life is valuable, every life is a story and I will not sacrifice those lives for honor'' I said with a cold tone staring at Lord Hoster.

The tent was silent for a few moments, it had become quite strange to talk again.

''You're just in time Wilhelm'' said Robert trying to warm up the atmosphere.

Yes, just in time,'' said Lord Arryn.

''Yes, sorry, I may have arrived earlier, but, unfortunately, I had to make an unplanned stop'' I said smiling at Robert

The knight he had sent to my camp had come into the tent carrying something under a cloth and handed it to me

"Where to?, Lord Hohenzollern," Lord Arryn asked thoughtfully.

I removed the cloth and showed a vial with the mad king's head floating in it.

''The capital'' I said handing the vial to Robert.

Robert drank all he had in his cup and began to smile, and all the other lords showed smiling faces as well.

''AH, THE TYRANT DIED'' said Robert very loudly.

Robert immediately picked up the container and stared at him

''Today, with the death of Rhaegar, we have won...''said Robert who became reflective

''And the children, Wilhelm, what happened to the dragon spawn?'', asked Robert.

''Well .... they escaped'' I said a little nervous.

''What happened, why couldn't you kill them'', said Robert annoyed.

''Robert, they are children, they are not to blame for their parents' crimes'', said Lord Stark.

''As long as one of those abominations is alive they will jeopardize what we won today, they must die, now explain Hohenzollern what happened?'', said Robert showing his teeth while frowning.

''The mad king got them to safety two days before we reached the capital, all his family, they are in dragon stone, in the fight for the capital we managed to capture some galleys of the royal fleet, but not enough to face it in the open sea'' I said looking at Robert

''Lord Hohenzollern, you have under your control Hightower and Redwyne fleets, can you gather them to attack dragon stone?'', asked lord Arryn.

''Ahh, well, it's hard to admit, but my men have no naval experience, we had many drawbacks in our attacks on the Redwyne and the shield islands, we can't trust their sailors and I'm afraid moving the ships might crash them against the reefs and the coasts because of lack of experience'' I said thoughtfully.

Robert was turning red with anger

''Calm down Robert, we will think of something for the future, is the capital safe?'', Lord Arryn asked as he poured Robert some wine.

''Yes completely safe, the mad king's trap has been disarmed, await the arrival of your new king'' I said with a friendly tone.

All faces changed to surprise

''What trap?'', said lord Hoster

''He planned to commit suicide with the whole city with wildfire if he lost, in the city there were hundreds of barrels everywhere with that mixture, everything is safe now and the barrels were moved to a safe place, so the mixture can be safely disabled'' I said with a serious tone.

Lord Arryn ran his hand through his hair.

''By the seven, that man's madness knew no bounds'' lord Arryn said.

Lord Stark stared at me

''I May know if the mad king resisted, he should be judged for what he had done'' Lord Stark asked.

I grimaced in annoyance and sighed.

''Well, when we found him he was already dead, a stab in the back, by the man who swore to protect him'' I said with annoyance.

Even Charles grimaced in annoyance at those words.

Lord Arryn was thoughtful.

''It could only be .... Lannister?'', Jon Arryn asked.

I nodded at Lord Arryn's words.

What happened to him?'' Lord Stark asked in annoyance.

''under arrest, awaiting trial, your trial, for the Prussians treason is the greatest unforgivable sin in the eyes of our god, but I suppose the right to decide what to do with him is yours'' I said annoyed.

''We thank you for everything, Lord Hohenzollern, you did much more than I thought you would, thank you for saving the city, you saved many lives'' said lord Arryn with a sincere tone touching his chest

''I wish I could have done more, if I had arrived earlier, we could have avoided this incense bloodbath, by the way, my physicians should be here to help with your wounded'' I said sadly.

''Your help is the most welcome Lord Hohenzollern'' said Lord Hoster also with sincerity.

'Well, you're all dancing in the palm of my hand'.

Robert calmed down and the festive mood returned.

My personal physician entered the tent to see Robert's wound, apparently Robert was incredibly lucky because Rhaegar's sword did not cut the artery.

And finally the royal guard I had killed was Jonothor Darry, I embellished the story of our fight so much that Robert looked like a happy child listening to it, so much so that I made him forget his anger against the Targaryens, probably until tomorrow.

But now we must return to the capital, Robert must be crowned and our deal formalized

And probably negotiate my control for the capital because according to our deal, the capital is mine.
