BLISTERING DAWN

📚♣️ CHAPTER ONE ♣️📚

Time passed by slowly, as it drizzled nonstop outside, it was entertaining though, since I was basically playing with the drops of the water on my glass window, I kept drawing whatever comes to mind with the cold water drops, my phone was almost dead, so I had to leave it be, mom took away my charger because hers was bad and she didn't want to go to the store for a new one, why? Because she didn't feel like it, she'd rather take mine away, unfair? you'll never know...

The door clicked open and mom barged in, she wore a transparent raincoat, and a funny hat, I could see her bright red dinner gown through her coat, she also wore heels, she had a light makeup on, and her hair was styled, I gave her a quizzical look, she smiled and stepped in.

"Mishka, I'm going out for dinner with Carl after work tonight, so I'll be home late" she said I tried not to roll my eyes, or say anything stupid so I just said "have funn" she let out a sigh, "I love you honey" she muttered and kissed my forehead and walked out.

Immediately the drizzling seized, I got out of my bed and rushed out of my bedroom, jogged down the stairs, dashed into the living room heading to the door when I noticed my two elder brothers Micah and Michael, Christopher my cousin and their friends sitting on the couch, chatting and laughing, darn it I was in such a rush that I forgot about my elder brothers, f**k they won't let me go anywhere now, arrrhh, "yo Mishka, where are you going in such a rush" Michael asked with furrowed brows, I held the back of my neck and chuckled nervously,

All eyes where on me, and I wanted to throw up instantly,unnecessary attention!! What I hate the most, "me.. ooh ..ahh ...I .was ...just ....ummm ..heading...to..to..the kit..kitchen yeah yeah the kitchen to get...my ..ahh.. stuff" I stuttered horribly, I did a mental face palm, Micah could definitely tell something was up, because his eyes were desperately searching for answers, even if Michael and Christopher can be ignorant at times, micah was definitely not, and it was annoying.

"Want me to get them for you " Michael asked which made me frown, I shot him a glare, "No thank you Micheal, I have legs" I replied walking off, I was really disappointed that they caught me on my way out, and I just wanted to scream, "when were you going to tell us, you had a hot sister " I heard one of the guys say, I rolled my eyes and refused to look back at whoever made the statement, all boys are morons anyways, "you better watch your tongue grinch" I heard Christopher defence, "dude, what's with the insult, just

I slamed my door with a huge bang, I flew on the bed picked up a pillow, Bury my head in it and screamed my lungs out, frustration was building up fast in the rate of a flying jet, I felt helpless and tired, I laid quietly on my bed, thinking, waiting, hoping that something comes up, but nothing did, my phone rang which startled me, I picked it up, shira's name was on the caller ID I picked it and placed it on my ear,

"Hey shira" I answered wryly

"Hey mish, meet me at the local park downtown, there's something you've got to see"

"Ummmm shira, what is it?? "

"Meet me in 10 minutes, and you'll find out"

She sounded serious, and it bothered me, for someone who giggles after every word, this must be serious.

"OK, I'll try" there was ruffling sounds at the other end of the line, then she hung up.

By the time I got downstairs, their friends were gone, my brothers were busy playing PS, I hoped they wouldn't notice me since they were engrossed with their game, men was I wrong, "Hey sis" micah called out,

I groan inwardly, I wanted to kick something hard so badly, "oh hey, I didn't...see you .. guys..there" I laughed walking towards them, then it hit me,

"So ... where to this time " Michael asked, eyes on the TV, how did they even see me when they barely glance my way, pathetic.

"I'm just stepping out to get my sanitries from the store" I lied, obviously, micah paused the game, "oh men.. I was about to score" Christopher grumbled glaring daggers at micah, "sanitries, I thought mom got those for you the other day " he questioned, shoot.. busted .. think Mishka think.

"Yeah she did but, I was ....ummmmmm.... I just needed to get pads.." I shot my eyes pretending I was embarrassed, "oooh I see, you don't have to be embarrassed about that, fine, Christopher will go with you " he said with a dismising grin.

"What??! " we both yelled in unison, "I'm in the finals, I'm not leaving " he shouted with a frown, "yeah, and I'm not letting a guy come with me to get pads " I replied, he let out a long tiring sigh.

"Fine! Just be back in 10 minutes "

He said I grinned and bolted off, 10 minutes, we'll see about that.

I arrived at the park, I looked around, my eyes searching for shira, there were few kids around, with their parents, I took out my phone to call shira, but I discovered it was dead, f**k what am I supposed to do now,I walked to a bench and sat there hoping she'll come around, "Hey there" I flew out of the bench in horror and landed harshly on my ass, what the hell, who the f**k was this, "the f**k is your problem " I yelled as I got on my feet, he sat on the bench and smirked, "oh I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you " he 'apologised' I was a little bit upset, but I didn't let it show, I just sighed. "Who the hell are you anyway " I asked he bit his lips and paused,

"The name's darrell" he said I just nodded "Darrell, please go sit on some other bench" he scoffed with a mischievous grin, he looked really cute with his smile, he had thick brows, brown gentle eyes, straight sharp nose, pink lips,straight white teeth, a v shaped face, he looked so dreamy with his beautiful hair and face, he looked like one of the angels, he wore a black polo and a pair of gray sweats, "you're asking me to leave, but you're staring at me, tskk typical" he gave a mocking chuckle, I was a little beat embarrassed but I shoved it off with an eye roll, "besides what's your name " he asked, "non of your business, I already told you to go away" I replied walking off, I was already frustrated with shira ditching me like this, how could she do this to me, I stalked over to the terres wheel, kids laughed and screamed their hearts out as the wheels rolled, the noise was loud but also soothing, they looked both happy and terrified which reminded me myself when I was that age, how mom took me to parks and we'll have lots of fun, we'll bond, spend time together, just the two of us, my heart beat twice as I got flashes of memories.

"So do you leave around here" my heart skipped as I recognise the voice as the guy from earlier, gosh..not this lunatic again, I groaned dramatically, I didn't bother to face him, maybe if I just ignore him a little longer, then he'll go away, I mean that's what every sane person would do right???.

Boyy was I wrong, it's been half an hour and he didn't leave, I wanted to punch his belly and make him whine like a baby, so much for leaving the house, he somehow forced my neighbour hood out of me (where I stay), and guess what, according to him, "we're getting along preety well" lol, as much as I want him to leave me alone, his kinda funny and I kinda.... enjoy his company and for a while I forgot about shira, "So you're saying you've never been on a terres wheel before, throughout your child hood " he asked again, I chuckled and nodded my head "I've always loved the park, me and my mom, it was our best place to be, but for some reason I never got on the wheel, I was too scared of it, I'm not scared of heights though, I just Don't like the idea of being on a terres wheel because..."

I was cut short by two kids who ran towards us, with big cute smiles, they were really cute, two girls, they looked identical,

"Darrell, darrell, get us Ice cream get us ice cream " I furrowed my brows at them as I noticed the frown on Darrell's face,

" we had a deal" Darrell glared at the two little girls who stared up at him.

"Preety please, " they begged, they looked so adorable, my smile grew wider at their cute behaviour, " Fine, but you guys better not come to me again, ok ??" They both nodded, "your girlfriend is really cute" one of them said with a sweet smile, my heart beat twice as a blush crept on my cheek, "shut up,.... hey, this are my baby sisters, maya and raya" He introduced, "Hey guys, nice to meet you " Darrell left to go get the ice cream while I talked to his sisters, "I'm Mishka " I introduced as I bent down to their level with a smile, I could see their clear resemblance to Darrell, they looked like him, except for their eyes, they had sparkly blue eyes, which made them look like cute little dolls, "nice to meet you too Mishka " they smiled,

"I see you guys are having fun" I said they nodded in union with toothy grins, I patted their hair, I noticed Darrell coming from a distance with the ice creams, he furrowed his brows at me and I shrugged My shoulders, he handed the ice cream cone to them, then gave me one too, I shook my head, muttered a "No thank u " he smirked his sisters were already eating theirs, which made me smile, how nice would it be to have little sister's, magical.

"OK.., I'll feed you then" Darrell said, wait what........
