Katie’s POV
“God, it’s freezing out here,” Olivia said.
Diego reluctantly left Olivia and me with Marcell, who introduced us to a man named Pauly, who he insisted needed to be with us at ‘all times.’ Pauly was an enormous man, giving a whole new meaning to the whole strong, quiet type as he had spoken less than three words since Marcell handed us off to him in the study.
“I swear my bits are freezing off out here. Where is this car,” Olivia complained to Pauly, who smirked at her, shrugging his shoulders while he checked his phone for the tenth time.
My mind kept me distracted from the cold, processing, and digesting all of the information that Diego had told me. I felt so close, finally, to that one thing I had been dreaming about since I was a small child.
