[Quincy Archer Hates You Arc] Part 36: Karakura's Crisis

After my talk with Tatsuki I got on my bike and stood in front of the school gates. I was too anxious and didn't know if I should go home or stay at school longer. Amid my doubt, Cheshire decided to materialize on my shoulder.

Cheshire: "So? What's the plan?"

Yato: "Honestly…I don't know…"

I couldn't continue the conversation because I suddenly started to feel a bad feeling.

Cheshire: "Then you better make up your mind." - He commented while looking at the sky.

When I looked in the same direction as Cheshire, I saw that several Hollows were starting to appear.

At this point, I got tense. I knew that Ichigo and Ishida would take care of most Hollows and I also knew that Ichigo's friends would awaken their powers.

Yato: 'And as far as I remember, Urahara will ensure their safety…so the one who will need help the most…is Rukia.'

Lucky for me, Urahara's shop is located in Mitsumiya, which is next to Gakuenchou, where the school is, so I went there as fast as I could.

Yato: "Damn it, Ishida…"

# With Tatsuki #

Tatsuki was resting from karate training. She was standing outside the dojo, with a small towel over her shoulders.

Tatsuki: 'I should be focused on the competitions…but this whole spiritual world thing won't let me have a second of peace.'

The girl was looking at two ghosts who were apparently hugging each other.

Tatsuki: 'Ever since classes started I've been able to see these ghosts. At first they were just hazy, but over time they became more and more distinct. It got to the point where it was becoming difficult to tell a living person apart from a ghost.

Tatsuki: "Is that how Ichigo felt…?"

The girl heard sensei shout her name, warning her that her rest time was over. At first, Tatsuki didn't move and looked in the opposite direction.

Orihime: "Tatsuki-chan!"

Tatsuki: 'Somehow I already knew that Orihime was coming here and also…somehow…I know that Yato just left the school gate…was that what he meant by feeling the spiritual energy? And what is this uncomfortable feeling all of a sudden…?'

Orihime: "Can we talk for a few seconds?"

Tatsuki: "What is it, Orihime?"

The redhead was silent for a few seconds.

Orihime: "It's no big deal, but—"

Suddenly the two heard the sound of several windows breaking along with a girl's scream.

Tatsuki: "Let's go check it out, Orihime!" - She spoke as she ran towards the sound.

Orihime: "Oh…okay!"

Unlike Tatsuki, Inoue stayed still for a while. The girl had an uneasy expression as she looked up at the sky and saw what looked like a strange "crack" forming between the clouds.

# With Rukia | Urahara Shop#

The little shinigami was still digesting the whole story Urahara had told her about the quincys. What confused her was the shop owner's sudden pause as he stared seemingly at the ceiling.

Rukia: "What's the matter, Urahara?"

Before receiving any response, her cell phone started ringing, alerting the presence of a Hollow.

Rukia: "What the hell…a Hollow at a time like this?"

Just as the signal appeared…it disappeared, which left her confused.

What alarmed her was that her cell phone began to detect several presences in a matter of seconds.

Rukia: "But…but what is this!? The number of Hollows…is increasing rapidly…!!

She ran out of the shop, wanting to confirm her suspicions and was startled to see several presences appearing in the sky.

Rukia: "But what is this heavy spiritual disturbance…? What the hell is going on…!?

# With Chad | Karakura Town, Kinogaya #

Chad was accompanied by two other young men, apparently members of a small band.

Living alone and always getting into trouble at school, Chad needed to find a way to support himself, which led him to be part of a small band. Despite not looking like it, he was a good guitarist and participated in part-time jobs with his friends Gitano Shigeo and Hatutoki Ide.

Chad: 'The sky…is strange…'

Shigeo: "Hurry up, Chad! The lunchtime service is gonna end!!"

As Chad turned to follow his friends, something huge fell behind them.

Shigeo: "What the hell was that!? An explosion!?"

Chad: 'What is this thing...? My vision seems to be wavering... Sometimes I see something blurry... but for a few seconds I could see what looked like a monster...'

The Hollow suddenly attacked the group and Chad quickly pushed his friends out of the monster's reach.

Chad: "Shigeo! Harutoki! Run—!"

Completely ignoring the other two, the Hollow tried to attack Chad again.

Chad: 'The target of that thing… is me…' - He thought as he dodged the attack.

Without thinking twice, Chad turned and started to run.

Chad: 'I don't know what that huge thing is, but if it's behind me, the answer is simple. I'll keep running…until I get somewhere where there are no people who could be involved in this situation…Right ahead there's a big vacant lot…there shouldn't be anyone there now…'

And so he did. The gentle giant kept running in hopes of keeping that monster away from innocent people, but to his misfortune, when he arrived at the supposed vacant lot he found children playing… and one of them was his friend Ichigo's younger sister.

Karin: "You're Ichi's friend…the parakeet guy!"

Chad: "Ichigo's little sister...!"
