Unexpected surprise

"Secret underground training space."

Seimei spoke with a smirk.

Urahara's eyebrows suddenly jumped.

Yoruichi looked at Urahara and then at Seimei. She was the only person than Urahara who knew that he liked building underground training spaces.

"Seems you do know many things." Kisuke spoke.

"Well, how do we be sure that you won't be abusing this position?" Yoruichi spoke.

Seimei sighed and stood up as he put his hands on his Zanpakuto.

"Because I can't." Seimei replied.

He wasn't completely wrong. Even though Seimei had the knowledge, he was in the situation where he couldn't use it at all.

It was no use knowing what Aizen would do hundreds of years in the future if he hadn't even known where Aizen was and it was no use knowing about the Quincies when they'd just been exterminated. No one would believe him if he said that they had a phantom shadow city right inside the shadows of the soul society while being undetected by the strongest Shinigami in the history of the soul society.

It was pointless knowledge.

It could even be compared to a random Victorian knowing that Ukraine would be invaded by Russia in the future.

What was the use of knowing such information?

Nothing.

"No matter how much I know, I am not able to use this at all." Seimei spoke.

"Well, how do we believe you?" Kisuke asked him.

"I don't know." Seimei honestly spoke. "I don't know how to make you believe me."

There was suddenly an awkward silence. They were in a deadlock. Seimei wanted to make them believe him, but there was no way for him to do that.

Suddenly, both of them looked at Yoruichi.

"Yoruichi, you're the princess of the Shihoin clan, right? Such a prestigious clan should naturally have tools for situations like this, right? Riiight?"

Seimei nodded as well.

"Indeed. I hope you can help me too. I'd like you to be the guarantor. I don't want to fall out with you two, either."

Yoruichi face-palmed as she shook her head. But since she too was slightly interested in Seimei, she decided to help him.

"My family indeed has something like that. But it'll take a few days for me to get it." Yoruichi looked at Kisuke and Seimei as she affirmatively replied to both of them.

"Oh, that's good." Seimei sighed in relief.

Kisuke nodded too, having such a thing would let them interact with Seimei with much more ease. There wouldn't be the threat of Seimei lying to them or doing something that would hurt him or hurt the Soul Society.

"What will you do during that time then? I'm the official Shinigami stationed in this town, so I can't leave unfortunately." Seimei spoke to Kisuke. Having calmed down from the previous farce.

Kisuke smiled at Seimei as he laughingly spoke.

"It's simple! I'll just stay with you!"

"So, this is the place where you live?" Kisuke asked Seimei as they stood in front of a wooden house. Seimei opened the sliding door, reminiscent to a Senkaimon.

It was a comfortable looking house. Seimei took off his geta at the front door and went in. He sat down at the living room, and brought out a tea set.

"Well, come on in." He said, as he looked at Kisuke who was awkwardly standing at the door.

"Ah, yes." Kisuke took off his geta as well, as he sat in front of Seimei who was making tea.

Seimei poured the tea in 2 cups, taking one for himself and placed one in front of Kisuke.

Sip.

"You make good tea." Kisuke took a sip and said to Seimei who was drinking his own tea.

"Thanks." Seimei replied.

There was an awkward silence in the room, with the sound of cicadas chirping and tea being sipped the only noise in the background.

Just then, a beep sound was heard.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Seimei pulled out his denreishinki, as he looked at the beeping screen.

2 hollow signatures could be seen on the screen, as they slowly moved away from each other.

"They're moving away from each other… This will make it slightly troublesome…" Seimei spoke to himself.

He could take care of one hollow fairly easily, but two hollows getting away from each other would mean that no matter which hollow he went to, the other would have a chance to wreak havoc.

"Do I see two hollow signatures right there?" Kisuke spoke, as he leaned his head over to look at Seimei's denreishinki.

"Indeed. Could you help me out with this 2nd hollow?" Seimei looked at Kisuke, standing up at the same time.

Kisuke stood up too, as he nodded to Seimei.

"Sure~ It's just one hollow, anyway."

Seimei nodded as a sign of gratitude. He exited his gigai and Hohō'd away, leaving Kisuke alone.

"Leaving me alone? How rude."

Kisuke sighed to himself as he smiled and disappeared too, leaving the house with an empty gigai inside.

"So, this is the hollow?" Seimei muttered to himself.

He was standing in the middle of the air. He looked down as he saw a battle going on.

It couldn't exactly be called a battle. Perhaps skirmish was the correct word.

Two groups were fighting each other, slaughtering the enemy with all their might. Behind them, on a horse sat a man.

He had worn formal samurai armor, and on his back a flag with a triple hollyhock symbol. It meant that he was a part of the Tokugawa clan, the ruling shogunate of edo Japan.

On the other side, stood a similarly dressed general, and on his back, a flag with a Paulownia seal, implying that he was part of the Toyotomi clan.

"A fight between humans…" Seimei spoke.

He looked around, trying to spot the hollow.

Just then, he saw it.

The hollow was hiding in the shadows on the tent of the Toyotomi's barracks.

It looked at the battle with its eyes shining a ghastly red. It looked at the battlefield in greed, watching Plus' pop up left and right.

'I see. So it wants more Plus' to show up, so that it can gobble them up in one go.'

The hollow had the appearance of a spider. Its 8 legs slowly crackling on the tent.

"Guess I'll get rid of it as soon as I can." Seimei spoke to himself as he got into a Iaido stance.

Swoosh!

He instantly disappeared from his position as he appeared in front of the hollow.

"Zanjutsu: Senmaioroshi!"

The sword of Seimei flashed as the hollow in front of him was shred into pieces.

The mask of the hollow was shred in pieces as it managed to let out a scream.

The scream attracted the attention of the Pluses who had just died, as they looked at the hollow who had been shred into pieces and the young man standing in front of the now shredded hollow.

"Hey, can you see that?" A plus said to another Plus, one from the same camp as him.

"Yeah… Who do you think that is?"

"I don't know… But since we could only see him after we died, you think he's some kind of Shinigami?"

The rough man spoke. He had a rough face and a rough appearance. Perhaps the most striking thing about him would be his blond hair.

The Pluses saw the young man walk in front of them as he sheathed his sword.

He walked in front of the leading Plus and sighed.

His long hair danced in the wind as his red hair gleamed in the sunlight. He was a tall young man, although looking like he was just 15 or 16 years old.

He looked around the battle field as soldiers passed through his body, as though he was never there.

There was some silence in the air as someone finally spoke.

"Can you answer a question…?" A Plus asked.

The man nodded.

"Are we dead?" He spoke with a slight hint of despair in his tone.

"Yes." As he opened his mouth, his mouth brought out the answer everyone wanted, yet something that none-hoped to hear.

"Everyone standing here, with a chain coming out from their chest is dead."

The Plus' looked at their hearts, their faces getting paler and paler by the second.

"I… I… I don't believe this… You-you must be lying!"

Suddenly, a Plus screamed as he ran backwards.

Clink!

His chain of fate suddenly tightened. As he ran backwards, he suddenly stopped.

"Whatever you're doing is futile. You have already died. Accept the truth."

The voice of Seimei echoed within the battleground, as new Plus' kept appearing within the battleground.

Suddenly, a soul attacked Seimei.

He swung his fist at him, trying to hit Seimei's face.

"You- You have no right to tell us whether we're dead or not!"

Thump!

As the fist of the Plus touched Seimei's cheek, he suddenly glared at the Plus.

The Plus felt as though the whole earth was placed on his shoulders. He slumped into the ground as his body was pressed against it.

"A mere Plus dare?"

Seimei muttered as he kicked the Plus in the stomach, throwing it away.

But unfortunately, its chain of fate held it back as all the force it had from Seimei's kick was transferred into his body.

"Eugh!"

And just like that, he passed away.

"I'll make this short and simple. As you probably expect, I am a Shinigami, someone who will take you away now that you've died. But, don't worry. Its neither hell nor heaven. You'll be going to a place called the Soul Society, where all the dead go to. So, keep your questions to yourself and hold out your foreheads."

Seimei unsheathed his Zanpakuto as he walked towards the nearest Plus and tapped his Zanpakuto's hilt on its forehead.

As soon as he touched the forehead of the Plus, it got transported away.

"This will be a pain…" Seimei muttered to himself.

Seimei looked at the tens of hundreds of men who were fighting and constantly dying, as new Plus' popped up every second.

"Alright, get in line everybody. I can't be bothered to walk towards all of you. Once you get tapped, walk next to the line so that you can be transported away."

All the Plus' got into a line as Seimei started transporting the Plus' away.

"Next"

"Next"

"Next"

"Next"

"Huh? You don't want to go? Why'd I care."

"Next."

"Next."

"Next."

"What do you mean, all according to Keikaku? Next."

The process continued on and on and on.

No matter how many Plus' Seimei tapped, new ones kept popping up.

***

Soon, it was already evening.

Seimei was at his last Plus.

"Fucking finally." Seimei sighed as he tapped the forehead of the final Plus.

It got transferred into the Soul Society. Seimei looked at the empty screen of his Denreishinki as he saw a figure appear in front of him.

"Ahaha, that was a lot of Plus' huh?" Kisuke said with a laugh as he looked at Seimei who was sitting down on the ground.

"No shit, sherlock. But did you really just stand there and watch as I sent all those Plus' away?"

Seimei spoke in a scathing tone.

"Ehehe, well it is what it is." Kisuke awkwardly laughed as he waved his hand.

"The Soul Society has always had a tough time during times of war within the human world. More souls get killed meaning more hollows are made. There's an increase in the number of Pluses in the human world. Almost every Shinigami is dispatched during times of war."

"I see." Seimei nodded. He'd made a similar assumption too.

"Hey. What year is it in the human world?" Seimei asked Urahara.

"Its 1749 AD in the western world."

Urahara spoke.

"Do Shinigami work in the western world?" Seimei asked.

The series had always taken place in Japan. Since there was a Soul Society in Japan then what organization handled souls in the western world?

"Well not exactly. Shinigami take care of souls within the Japanese Peninsula. In the western world, the Wing Bind takes care of the souls there. Although there's usually no communication between the two places, we help them out during large scale conflicts like the Crusades which lasted almost 200 years."

"I see." Seimei spoke. His curiosity had been fulfilled. He stood up and started walking back to his house. The battle was already over and there were no new pluses being formed so he didn't have to stay there anymore.

"But, there's a benefit to war, you see."

Kisuke suddenly spoke with a smile.

"More people dead mean more Pluses getting sent to Rukongai and more Shinigami having the chance to be born. This directly increases the strength of the Soul Society."

Seimei suddenly had a thought.

Wasn't this like the businesses which flourish after war?

The normal people would be affected and a period of stress within the businesses they'd gain massive profits after the wars ended.

As his gaze looked far beyond the current distance, Kisuke felt like Seimei wasn't simply looking forward.

It was as though he was looking somewhere he couldn't and would never be able to see.

'Hm… Interesting…'

Just then, another person appeared in front of him.

"I'm back." Yoruichi spoke.

She had a black paper in her hand.

Kisuke and Seimei looked at the paper in Yoruichi's hand as they nodded.

"Let's go back to my place first." Seimei spoke.

"Sure." Kisuke and Yoruichi spoke together as the three of them disappeared.

***

"Oh! You make really good tea!"

Yoruichi sipped the tea that Seimei made as she complimented him.

"Thanks." Seimei replied.

Yoruichi looked at Seimei making tea and she suddenly spoke.

"You know, when I returned to the Soul Society, I met a really boring dude."

"Boring?" Kisuke who'd just entered the room, asked Yoruichi.

"People talk about the interesting people who they meet but you're telling us about the boring dude you met?" He continued.

Yoruichi laughed and Seimei smiled, then she continued.

"Well, it's the truth, he looked so boring and uninteresting. Like someone who would do nothing but study all day. But the dude actually invited me for tea!"

Suddenly Seimei had a bad premonition.

"What was the guy's name? For him to be so bold as to ask the daughter of the Shihoin clan patriarch out for tea." Kisuke laughed and asked.

"I don't remember properly but I think it was Sosuke something."

Seimei's voice suddenly echoed out in a menacing tone, his face unusually serious.

"Do you perhaps mean…

Sosuke Aizen?"

"Aizen? Oh yeah! He was Sosuke Aizen! A part of the 5th Division."

'Shit.'
