5 Chapter 4

"Grandpa!" Errol called out with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Ha! Here, try this one, it's absolutely scrumptious, I promise you," his grandpa chuckled, offering him a sweet treat he had received from a friend.

"Hmm... alright," Errol agreed, curiosity piqued.

At this moment, Errol was nestled comfortably in his grandpa's arms, perched at the dining table, sampling an array of sweets. It had been a year and a half since he reincarnated into this world, and he had spent his days mastering the art of being a normal baby. Although he was a quick learner, he made sure to maintain a balance so as not to arouse suspicion with his advanced skills.

Over this period, he had managed to develop fluent speech, albeit with the high-pitched, squeaky voice typical of his age.

However, he had never attempted to use his power, not even once since he gained the ability to talk. The months of inactivity had given him ample time to reflect on his folly of trying to use his power as a newborn.

Even though the system had informed him that his quirk had adapted to the spiritual energy rules of this world, it didn't guarantee that there wouldn't be any backlash if he made a mistake.

During this time, Errol couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. He had narrowly avoided the reckless path followed by some impulsive protagonists who, in their impatience, tried everything as babies without considering the potential consequences.

That's why, once he was able to speak, he made a conscious decision not to use his power until he turned two. He reasoned that by then, most of his body's functions would be fully operational.

His grandpa, Orlando, watched him with a puzzled expression as Errol sat there, his face serious and thoughtful.

"Should I take him to a doctor? No, that's a bit extreme, but..." Orlando pondered, observing his grandson lost in thought, rubbing his chin as if deep in contemplation.

"Maybe in the future," he mused aloud, a grin spreading across his face. "He does look adorable pretending to be an adult. Just as I'd expect from my grandson, hahaha."

The maids, observing from the sidelines, couldn't help but exchange bemused glances at the sight of the serious-faced toddler and the elderly man laughing heartily for no apparent reason.

[Time Skip 2 Years]

In the middle of the night, in a quaint mansion, a toddler was inspecting every corner of the room, ensuring he was alone. This was Errol, and it was time for him to test his quirk, if it could still be referred to as such.

"Hehe, I've been waiting for this moment...well, maybe not forever, but you get the idea," he thought to himself.

After a final sweep of the room, it was time.

"Now, what should be my first command? Maybe an order to control the air? No, that's too advanced and I don't yet know the potential consequences of overestimating my abilities...hmm...this should be alright," he pondered.

Errol cleared his throat and put on a serious expression.

"I can control objects with my mind," he declared.

Suddenly, Errol felt a strange sensation deep within him. It was mysterious and intriguing, a feeling he had never noticed until now.

This energy began to move, diminishing in quantity before he felt something different.

Errol directed his gaze towards a small toy car and willed it to float. The toy car hesitated for a moment before it slowly started to levitate.

Errol was silent for a moment before breaking into the widest grin he had ever worn in his entire life, including his past one.

"Hahahahahahaha, I have superpowers!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air in sheer excitement.

It took a couple of minutes for him to calm down as he played around with his newfound telekinetic abilities.

"Hehe, let's try something else, 'cough'..."

"I should be able to fly," he declared.

As soon as the words left his mouth, he felt a different sensation and instinctively started to float. The moment he realized he was floating, the joy he had just managed to contain burst forth once again.

"HAHAHAHAHAH," he laughed, flying around his room without a care in the world. The sound of footsteps approaching his room grew louder until the door was flung open by Grandpa Orlando.

"Erl, are you okay!? I heard some manic laughter coming from your room!" Orlando exclaimed.

Errol, who had managed to return to his bed just before the door swung open, tried to look as innocent as possible while shaking his head.

"Nope, I didn't hear anything. Although, I was quite startled when you barged in, Grandpa!" he replied, feigning distress.

Orlando, who had been worried, now looked guilty. "Sorry, sorry. Maybe it was just my imagination... but I think I really did hear some noises... hmm..." he mused aloud, causing Errol to break out in a cold sweat. He quickly tried to distract his grandpa.

"Grandpa..." Errol called out, his eyes welling up with tears. He had mastered the art of crying after being a baby for several months.

Orlando, hearing his name, quickly turned to look at him and immediately went into panic mode. "I know, how about we go out tomorrow as an apology, okay?"

Now it was Errol's turn to feel guilty for lying and making his grandpa feel guilty. But since it was already too late, he nodded with a big smile on his face, which caused the worried Orlando to smile as well before he left the room.

Once Errol was sure he was gone, he relaxed his tense shoulders and sighed in relief.

"That was a close one. It would be hard to explain to Grandpa about my powers...or would it?" Errol pondered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

'Why am I hiding my powers again? It's not like it's bad or illegal to tell him since he's family. Who else can I trust if not the only family member who has raised me without asking for anything in return? Honestly, it would give me more freedom to use my powers in the house, except in front of the maids,' he thought.

After some contemplation, he decided he would tell his grandpa about his powers, but not just yet. He felt it would be better to wait until he was older.

With that decision, he set out to explore the possibilities of his New Order. He checked the amount of spiritual power he had left. He was able to sense the spiritual energy within him, and he estimated that after his two orders, he only had about half the amount left.

"Damn, it looks like I only have a small amount of spiritual energy left after just those two orders," Errol muttered, clicking his tongue in frustration.

He waited until he had recovered before continuing to test his New Order. After an hour or two, or maybe three, he had made a few discoveries.

First, his New Order worked almost the same as the one Star and Stripe had, with the difference being that it utilized Spiritual energy to function. Errol wasn't sure how it worked for Star and Stripe, whether she had something like stamina or some form of energy that fueled her quirk.

Second, the strength of his Order was dependent on the amount of spiritual power he input into it. Errol wasn't sure how it was for Star and Stripe, as she couldn't reach the physical level of Prime All Might. He didn't know if that was a limitation of her quirk or her personal strength. However, Errol knew that if he had the right amount of spiritual power, reaching the level of All Might with an Order would be quite easy. For now, though, that was impossible, as he could only strengthen himself to the level of a teenager.

The third thing he discovered was that he could categorize his orders into three types. The first type was the Status Order, which allowed him to give himself or other things some buffs or debuffs, like a boost in physical abilities or recovery. The strength of the status was dependent on the amount of spiritual power he inputted, and it would disappear once the spiritual power of the order was exhausted.

The second type was the Ability Order. He could give himself or other people an ability with an order, like telekinesis or flight. The ability he could give himself also required spiritual power to work. For instance, he could give himself the power to generate and manipulate electricity, but he would need spiritual power to generate that electricity. The more spiritual power he inputted, the more electricity he could generate, and the stronger it would be.

The last type was the Reality Order. This order imposed a rule onto something he touched, manipulating it according to the order. It was the most powerful type of order but also required the most spiritual power to use. He barely managed to reduce the size of his toy by a few centimeters, and he was already out of breath from exhausting his spiritual power.

There were still a few things he was uncertain about, but in the end, Errol concluded that New Order was powerful but severely limited by his low amount of spiritual power.

The amount of spiritual power Errol currently possessed might be much more than what was typical for his age, comparable to that of a normal human adult, but that was it.

"Hehe, now it's time to try something I've always wanted to try. If it works, I can be as lazy as I want," he thought to himself, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Author's Note:

What do you think about Errol's New Order?

I tried to ensure it was powerful but also worked within the rules of the Bleach universe. It won't make him very strong in the early stages, but in the future... who knows?

By the way, can I get some ideas on what Orders he could use? You can just comment here, and I might use it in the story if I find it suitable.
