Chapter 259 I will not die!

Inside the infinity castle.

Muzan was now looking at the pair of enormous eyes that appeared outside the infinity castle. He felt that his entire being was overwhelmed by fear.

The pair of eyes were as big as the castle itself, glowing with a sinister red light that sent shivers down Muzan's spine.

He didn't know what the entity that stared at him was, but he could feel that if he were to stare at it for too long, he might lose himself.

He wished to cut the link between him and his hidden soul piece like he did last time, but he found that he could not. The connection was too strong.

The entity that was watching him had made it impossible for him to sever the connection.

"Who are you?! Why do you keep watching me like this?!"

He shouted with lunacy. He wanted an answer to why he was being watched like this.

This had never happened before since he became a demon.

He knew that there were many beings other than demons that were very powerful, but he refused to believe that there was such an entity that could do something like this in this world.

"I am a Shinigami. I am the god of death."

An ancient voice echoed through the infinity castle.

Muzan would never believe it if someone said that to him, but what he witnessed right now made him believe that he might actually be the god of death.

Muzan gritted his teeth before he tried to attack the eyes. However, no matter what he did, the eyes were still fixed on him. It was as if they were seeing right through him.

"Even if you are the god of death, I won't submit. I will conquer death!"

Muzan shouted defiantly as he used his blood demon arts to attack the eyes. However, the eyes remained unharmed, their presence only growing stronger.

It was completely useless. The eyes were invincible.

"I won't kill you for now. But I can't just let you do whatever you please."

The pair of eyes glowed brightly, and it made the whole castle shine with an unearthly light.

Muzan and Nakime, the Biwa Demon, who controlled the infinity castle, screamed in pain as they felt their souls being torn apart and then being repaired again and again until they didn't have any strength left to fight back.

"I will find you and destroy you!" Muzan vowed, his voice filled with fury.

His fear drove him to say something that he didn't mean to. Muzan was a coward who feared death from the beginning. The fear of death was one of the reasons why he became a demon.

And now the one with death had gazed at him. There was no way that he wouldn't fear it.

"You don't need to. When the time comes, I will go and find you myself."

The pair of eyes then slowly faded away into nothingness.

Muzan caught a lot of blood. The pressure he suffered was immense. Nakime, the Biwa Demon, slowly disintegrated into the air. She was far weaker than Muzan and couldn't withstand the soul pressure.

She dissipated into nothingness, leaving Muzan alone to face his fate.

Muzan was forced out of the infinity castle. The fear that he momentarily forgot came back to haunt him as he realized he was now facing something that he could not hope to escape from.

"He used my hidden soul piece that was inside Enmu."

Muzan then remembered. Akaza was with Muzan, so he might experience being tortured again. He quickly said something to Akaza before he cut himself from the hidden soul piece inside of him.

"I will not die, no matter what!"

Muzan thought about something, and he then set out toward where he was supposed to meet with the demons from overseas.

He didn't know much about them, but they seemed to know many things about him and about the other beings in this world.

They might know something about the god of death as well, and if they did, they might be able to help him deal with the god of death.

'They must help me, as I know about the secret of how to conquer the sun.'

Muzan was confident that, by conquering the sun, conquering death might not be impossible.
