"Hmm," Soi Fon appeared in a small and dark room where she saw the boy sprawled on his bed, fast asleep.

The room was nothing worth mentioning about, though it was messy and seems to not have been cleaned for months.

Even her nose couldn't help but wrinkle at the foul smell that permeated the room.

Quickly but silently, Soi Fon appeared besides the bed of the boy she had seen earlier in the mornin, who seems to have enjoyed a rather 'intense' work out before going to bed …if that fishy scent she can faintly detect from the boy and the trashcan was anything to go by.

Well, she cared very little about that stuff. Not the first time she had witnessed such a scene, some were even worse.

With all the stress and works that her division are being put through, it's only natural for them to "comfort" themselves and release all the stress.

Be it drinking, gambling, or even full blown sex …sometimes it would be far too intense and they'd have a massive orgy.

Even when she was still working under Yoruichi, it was already like that. Yoruichi said nothing about it, and didn't bother changing or correcting it.

The explanation she gave was that if the squad members couldn't release their stress, it wouldn't be strange for them to lose their mind or descend into madness.

After all, their job is mentally and psychologically taxing.

It'd be pretty cruel to take away the only thing that can keep their sanity intact.

Even after she took over the captain of Squad 2, Soi Fon never abolished the practice and just let them be. As long as it won't affect their work, then everything's fine.

"Now then …" Soi Fon took out a black fingerless gloves with a flaming skull and put it on her hand, "Let's see what's inside this soul of yours …"

Her hand stabbed through the chest of the boy, but it seems to bring him no physical harm, as despite Soi Fon moving her hand around as if searching for something, the boy remained in deep sleep.

A few moments later, Soi Fon felt a stir from the depths of his soul. She furrowed her brows, it held great power …definitely Lieutenant class.

No, this power was somehow sealed and suppressed, so it should be more powerful …a Captain Class at the very least then.

Moments later, Soi Fon pulled the "something" she found on the boy's soul and immediately heard a loud roar targeting her soul, intending to put pressure on it.

She shrugs it off, noting that the pressure was weaker than expected probably due to the fact that whatever is inside this boy's soul has been sealed for far too long to actually be a threat to her.

Moments later, she managed to pull out a red gauntlet from the boy's soul.

Her brows furrowed as the gauntlet feels like it was about to escape from her palm, so almost immediately she decided to bind it.

"Bakudo #4: Hainawa…"

A yellow electric-like energy generated from her hand before quickly slithering towards the gauntlet, wrapping it completely.

"Hmm, this should do."

Nodding to herself, Soi Fon stored the gauntlet away before decided to leave the place, after making sure to hide every traces of her being here.

As Soi Fon jumped to the sky through the window, she couldn't help but feel like something has changed in the world, but she couldn't tell what exactly.

So she decided to push those thoughts at the back of her mind and decides to hurry back and return to her own universe.

Unknown to her, her actions greatly changed the fate and trajectory of the DxD universe.

In an isolated space, a little girl wearing a revealing gothic dress suddenly opened her eyes, revealing a dull dark pupils as she stared at the direction where Soi Fon was at.

The girl's presence was weak and almost nonexistent, perhaps no lesser beings would even be able to perceive her existence.

However, she possessed this certain aura that could crush any beings who stood before her.

No one in the entire supernatural world doesn't know the name of this girl, for she …or rather 'it' is one of the strongest beings in the universe.

The Infinity Dragon God, the Ouroboros Dragon, the personification of Infinity, Chaos, and Nothingness.

Ophis.

"Out, sider …" she whispered, furrowing her brows, "…How, meddlesome."

However, the Dragon God simply turned her gaze back and closed her eyes as if losing interest.

She has no will, nor desire to get involved with the petty going-ons of the supernatural world unless it involves her goal of kicking away that "idiot red" and take back what is rightfully hers.

Dimensional Gap, the Dragon of Dreams, Great Red, suddenly halted his stunt as he stared at the 'cardinal world', his gaze seems as if it was piercing through the concept of distance and stared directly at Soi Fon.

His eyes then moved towards the gauntlet that she has hidden and he couldn't help but let out an amused snort.

However, he didn't make any movement and simply observed.

Oh he noticed the slight change in 'fate' due to the boy losing the Boosted Gear, but he honestly couldn't care less about that.

His job was to make sure to keep 'outside threats' away from the Draconic Deus universe, and prevent the awakening of the 'Beast', as part of the promise he made with the Biblical God.

Throughout his life, only the Biblical God was one of the few beings who earned Great Red's respect, not only for his strength and power, but also by his will and desire to keep the universe in peace.

So much so that Biblical God split his existence into three; one to lead heaven, one to lead humanity, and one to maintain the balance of the three realms(underworld, mortal world, heaven).

Even now, the strand of Biblical God's existence, the Holy Spirit, is wandering the universe to make sure everything is in balance.

Great Red also knew that the Holy Spirit has chosen the boy whom Soi Fon deprived of the gear, as the 'protagonist' of this era, the one who will lead the world to fight against threat they cannot defend against.

But with Soi Fon taking away the Boosted Gear, Great Red wonders what will the Holy Spirit do in this situation?

Would he send a lightning strike to punish the girl? Would he give the boy a new power? Or would he simply choose another "protagonist"?

Great Red chose to sit back and observe.

He just knew that the Draconic Deus is going to be incredibly lively with the newfound "neighbors" suddenly making itself known.

He only need to make sure that they are not a threat first, or else he would have to 'eliminate' them if they ever plan on wrecking havoc in his turf.

12th Division Barracks.

"Sir, Captain Soi Fon has sent us a signal for retrieval …it seems like the mission is a success." Akon informed Mayuri who stood behind him, his eyes never leaving the holographic screen.

Off to the side, Ichigo was eating a slice of cake prepared by Nemu when he heard Akon, and quickly swallowed all the cake whole and walked towards him.

"Hmph, that woman better not forget what I ask her," Mayuri coldly snorted.

"Don't worry, she won't." Ichigo replied, smiling at him.

"She better," Mayuri whispered under his breath before turning towards Akon, "Open the 'gate', make sure everything is stable before bringing her back."

"Roger!" Akon replied, before ordering the other squad members, "Turn on the power! Ready the Reserve Reishi Reactor! Turn on the anti-distortion! Turn on the stabilizer!"

"Yes sir!"

A simultaneous shout resounded as a 'crack' in space appeared once again, this time the group wasn't as worried as when this happened the first time.

They swiftly and expertly pressed the keys on their holographic computers as they hurriedly stabilized the portal.

Moments later, the cracks in space changed into a swirl big enough for a person to pass through.

And within a few minutes, a figure finally stepped out of the portal as a relieved smile broke out on Ichigo's face.

It was Soi Fon, looking as fine as when she left.

'Guess everything went smoothly,' thought Ichigo.

Coughing on his fist, Ichigo revealed a stern and serious expression, "It's good to have you back, Captain Soi Fon. I believe everything went well?"

Soi Fon nodded professionally, "It is good to be back Captain Commander, and regarding the mission, I managed to gather some important intel."

Ichigo hummed, "Take a few hours of rest and I will call all the captains for a meeting."

Soi Fon nodded at him, before turning towards Mayuri and showed him what she took from the boy, "Here. I hope you can put it to good use."

A manic grin appeared on Mayuri's face as he grabbed the 'thing'.

"Hehehe, I think we're going to get along from now on Captain Soi Fon."
