Green Eyes

Day by boring day. How I abhor just sitting here, this school haven't even thought of updating anything in their curriculum. No wonder the students here are dumb, how I pity them. *cough cough*

It has been a week, the lessons are stupidly easy and I can't get along with those... human species. Their ignorance fills the room with an awful scent.

I decide to eat lunch with Adela, she really has been avoiding me since the morning in the locker room, leaving only a small bag of sweets on my cupboard. The joy radiating in her as we walk into the dining hall.

The dining hall is just an ordinary room, big brown tables in rows, wooden armchairs with red velvet padding. Food delivered fresh on a tray by servants, each food made according to our personal dietary needs. And we can't forget the candles, I personally chose red strawberry scented candles, on a candelabrum that matches the chandelier at the center of the room. You know, the usual.

We were seated and served by maids in frilly clothes.

"Hey, Hail. Did you know, there are these new kids that just transferred. Some of them are in my class and they seriously are good looking." Adie casually mentions while munching down on a a plate of carbonara. Not giving a damn, I give out a uninterested grunt.

"I know. I know. People aren't your thing, but hear me out." She continued.

Here she goes again about stupid mortals. I don't know why she's so interested in the lower species. They are so bland and overrated in comparison to us.

"Okay, hear me out." She says while devouring her pasta. "So there are these new guys, they just transferred from who-knows-where but they really look hot... though they sure do have this weird aura to them."

Weird aura?

"Of course, Hail, you're hotter and I'll pick you any day, but they have this strong aura. So charismatic, so wild, and the most popular among them is a girl named Deva."

"Well that's a pretty name. Pretty sure she's a diva as well just by the sound of it." And like a prick, a sharp pain hit the back of my neck. I cannot hold back a small mewl from escaping my lips.

What the heck? What was that?

"Hail, are you alright?" Big hazel eyes met mine, full of confusion and care. I know I treat her like shit sometimes but I really never want her to worry.

Better make something up quick.

"I'm fine. My head just hurts from staying up late." Half yawning my words.

"Oh, that's Deva over there. The one with the curly hair." As soon as I turn my head to check, all I saw were green eyes set on mine from a distance. But it wasn't a girl's, it's not from the small tanned person with big hair that has a bitchy air, it is from the person next to her.

His eyes that met mine, I felt the anger and hunger, the longer I stare the more it deepens. He's tall and skinny, but not lanky like Adie, he has muscles hidden in those sleeves, I can feel it. His clear chiseled face looks sharp enough that it could cut diamonds.

Heat travels throughout my body, heart pounding against my chest, I gulp trying to moisten my parched throat. Damn, it's no use.

The actual fuck? I've never been this bothered in my life.

I compose myself before facing Adie, she still seemed starstruck. Was it towards the guy as well?

No, it can't be.

Adie has a deep hatred for men.

Huh, well this is fun.

"Adie. I think you should go for her." Adie jumped in her seat, her eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. This really is fun! Chuckling at Adie's expression. "Well. What do you think?"

"H-huh...?! Wh-what do you mean?! I have you. The one I like is you. Why should I go for a girl like her anyways? She looks like... like..."

"Like?"

"Like..."

"Enough. Enough. You don't have to force yourself Adie."

"But it's true. I love only you, Hail." Sure you do. I scoff. Suddenly, green eyes made its way to my line of thought.

"Hey, Adie. Who's that guy with green eyes? He looks like trouble."

"Trouble? Why would you say that? He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met."

Never would have expected that. She rarely talked to men, let alone complimenting one.

"You know him? Don't you hate men?"

"Yeah, I still do. But we've conversed before and he's in my class. His name is Esmeray Kitch. He's Deva's cousin."

Ah, that's why.

What an interesting name, Esmeray Kitch.
