The sound of cooking equipment could be heard as the excavation team just finished rounding up their dishes of their last supply for the month in silence due to the fact that there's been no evidence of what was causing the magnetic disruption with the satellites. Mr. Belvidere had already been recalled due to some other pressing issues that came to his concern, leaving the five of them to their mission.
"So Gabby I heard you're also getting recalled by next month" terry asks while stirring the contents of his food bowl "yeah, Mr. Belvedere and I have been re-assigned to more pressing issues, but Mr. Belvedere got sent back earlier because of his expertise with whatever's going on in new London" she replied with very little enthusiasm before gathering the used dishes into one of the tents and heading towards Hank's and Francine's direction where they claimed the metal detector tripped off, leading to them digging around the place for over three hours, leading to a massive hole which they now guarded with Amanda "how's it going guys, anything eye catching?" gabby asked as she carefully made her way down a platform they had constructed while digging "we did find a few tools and weapons which means we must be close to whatever the bosses are looking for" Amanda replied before being startled by a loud clang of metal hitting metal before Francine came running over coming to a stop and panting out loud "Hank found something stuck to the ground, it seems huge" "finally a lead! I can't wait to get off this forsaken land and back to my apartment eating normal food" Terry exclaimed in joy as he joined the rest of the crew.
The next few hours were spent with everyone digging up piles and piles of sand until it was apparent what they were trying to dig up was way larger than they thought, due to it taking the shape of any standard pyramid shape like those in the current world "well guys seems we found another pyramid, not really an exciting discovery. Alright guys lets pack up for today well report what we've found to the higher-ups" Gabby said as she sighed in defeat before packing up and preparing to leave when she stepped on a loose block which gave way, sucking her into the pyramid, making her fall a few feet below before landing on a pile of dusty silk robes cushioning her fall and preventing her from getting more than a few broken bones. Recovering from her initial shock she gets into a sitting position taking in her surroundings which appeared to be some kind of modern day laundry room, before she could explore any further she was brought back to reality by hanks worried yell "are you okay down there gabby" "yeah I actually landed in a laundry pile that cushioned my fall, seems like well be spending the night in here. This pyramid is not as simple as it looks" she said as she got off the cloth pile, earning a groan from Terry as he tossed a rope down the hole before sliding down with a crate while Amanda and the rest began passing the rest of their equipment to him. After an hour of moving crates they decided to explore the rest of the pyramid since they were already inside. Walking the entrance of the laundry room which lead to a hallway that broke off into separate parts of the pyramid "so which way do we go gabby" Amanda asked while staring down the numerous doorways before pulling out a flashlight from a bag, then passing the bag to Hank who grabbed his before asking "so how long would you say we'll spend in here" "don't know Hank but the faster we are the sooner I can get home and enjoy a nice tasty pack of pizza roll, but for now I'm pumped to explore this place" she replied with excitement in her voice as they all walked into the first doorway.
