The devouring of the dark apparition and great gains

Grinning inwardly, Thiago soon felt something being sucked into the black hole, at the same time he could hear the dark apparition roar in pain and rage as literally wisps of the dark mist around the dark apparition's body, which was part of it, were sucked into the black hole and he could do nothing to stop it as almost all of his power was currently sealed.

But the dark apparition was not stupid and seemed to realise in horror what Thiago was doing, "You... you are somehow devouring me... this is absolutely impossible! How are you able to do this?"

"Hehe, what is impossible, you clearly see how it is working, right?" sneered Thiago as he saw how the dark apparition slowly felt fear and terror.

Although Thiago wasn't a sadist or anything like that, it was mainly because the dark apparition had almost killed him before if it hadn't been for the old man's help, which made him want to repay that grudge a hundred times over.

Well, it would certainly be more than a hundred times worse, because Thiago was going to devour the dark apparition while it was still alive, something you wouldn't even wish on your worst enemies, as it would be truly cruel and cause agonising, excruciating and bone-crushing pain that would be unlike anything else.

Even the dark apparition, who was used to cruel things due to its inherent bloodthirsty and cruel nature, was terrified at that moment, knowing what it was about to go through.

As the seconds ticked away, all the dark mist surrounding the dark apparition had already been sucked into the black hole, leaving its now exposed body to be devoured.

Thiago replied shortly afterwards, causing the Dark Apparition's face to grow darker and more panicked as it tried everything to destroy the seal, which consumed a surprising amount of the formation's stored mana, but it did not matter as the formation would still last long enough for the Dark Apparition to cease to exist as it was devoured by Thiago.

"Futile struggles, heh," sneered Thiago as he saw the dark apparition trying to break the seal with his struggle, but it made no difference to Thiago if the seal would last for thirty minutes or only ten minutes now because of his struggle, as he would be done before that anyway.

Even so, he had exerted his Black Hole skill to the full extent to make sure that nothing unexpected was going to happen all of a sudden. Immediately, the suction power increased several times over, pulling faster and more intensely.

It was as if the dark apparition was being flayed alive, layer by layer, because it was bound in one place and couldn't be sucked into the black hole all at once.

First, his outer skin was slowly peeled off, like eating a banana, and pulled into the black hole, causing the dark apparition to howl and scream in agonising pain. It wasn't that the dark apparition had never seen someone being skinned before, and he had even done it to prisoners himself in order to get some important information, but he had never dreamed that one day he would be the one whose skin would be peeled off layer by layer, causing him such excruciating pain that he would even scream and cry in pain like those lowly prisoners or slaves he had despised in the past.

Then, when all the skin was peeled off and you could see all the tissues and muscles and whatever else was inside a dark apparition's body, it was time for the soft parts of the body to be sucked into the black hole.

At this time the dark apparition's voice was already extremely hoarse from all the screaming, but as his muscles and other soft parts began to lose themselves from his bones and skeleton, which was slightly different from a human one, he immediately fainted as that pain was not in the same league as the pain of getting ones skin removed, it was at least a hundred times worse.

He frothed from the mouth that was also disintegrating slowly making for a truly horrifying scene.

Even Thiago, who was just watching from the side-lines, was a little disgusted by the scene in front of him, but instead of what a normal person would have done, which was to have halted or something like that, Thiago, who was not a human being at all, did his best to speed up the process, because even though it was a rather frightening and disgusting scene, it was necessary.

He also had the thought in the back of his mind that the dark apparition would probably have killed himself, and it was only fair that he did the same now, although it seemed more like he was torturing him at the moment, but still.

A short time later, all that remained of the once majestic and intimidating dark apparition was the black skeleton and an illusory dark mass floating above it, which was probably the dark apparition's soul, after everything else had been sucked into the black hole.

"Alright, the final moment has come," Thiago muttered as he saw the skeleton and the dark swirling illusory mass being pulled into the black vortex at the same time, making Thiago grin a little wickedly.

Once the last remnants of the Dark Apparition had been sucked into the Black Hole and Thiago had closed the Black Hole Skill, he had to decide whether to convert the Dark Apparition into essence or system points.

Normally, he would probably choose to turn them into essence, but now that he had just recently advanced to the level of Superior Student, it made him think otherwise.

The reason for this was not that he disliked the idea of getting stronger quickly, but rather that he knew that system points were also extremely important for all sorts of things he would need to buy, and also in dangerous situations when he urgently needed something from the system shop.

'Alright, I will convert it into system points.' Thiago decided mentally, though a little painfully, as he would have really liked the huge power boost he would have received after devouring the dark apparition.

Immediately, Thiago saw on his system panel that his system points were increasing by leaps and bounds, first reaching one thousand from his previous almost empty points, then ten thousand in a fraction of a second, shortly afterwards twenty thousand, and so on... reaching one hundred thousand, barely a moment later four hundred thousand, with a big leap a million, and finally they stopped at one million six hundred thousand system points, which was an astronomically high number for Thiago.

Just then he also received as system pop up message that told him the clear amount that he had just received.

"Amazing, haha! I got so many system points all at once, it's crazy," Thiago exclaimed with joy and happiness, now that he could clearly see how many points he had received, although he knew roughly how many he had received before, but still.

"Well, now I should have a good reserve of system points for a while at least," Thiago muttered, but oh, how wrong he was.

"Well, how did that dark apparition provide so many system points, I thought it had basically been drained of all its power?" Thiago muttered in disbelief, he hadn't expected the Dark Apparition to still provide him with so many points, not that he wasn't happy about it, quite the opposite, but he was still curious how strong the Dark Apparition had been before it had been sealed here by the old man, since even in its completely weakened and drained state it had still provided him with so many system points after being devoured.

In any case, Thiago would find out exactly that when he later went through some information recorded in the old man's inheritance.

"Phew," Thiago let out a breath of air before deciding to finally leave this independent room that had almost become his burial place minutes before. He did not know if he would need this place in the future, but now that he had gained control over the Core Formation that controlled this entire space, he could come and go as he pleased.

As he walked towards the core of the formation at the centre of the square, he stroked the exquisite looking ring the old man had given him earlier, and which he had later put on his own finger, thinking that he had still made great and surprising gains in this strange independent space.

As they always said, great danger was often accompanied by great opportunity.

The only thing that bothered him now was that he would have to take the ring off before transforming into his beast form, as the ring had no size adjustment as far as Thiago could see, so he would have to store the ring in his inner world before doing so.

Well, why would a human need a ring with size adjustments, so it was perfectly justified that the old man's ring did not have them.

Just as he thought about his inner world, the thought that when he had almost died before, he could have just hidden in his inner world to escape that terrible blow.

But to be fair, when you're under so much pressure and fear of death, you just don't think about that at that moment, so it wasn't entirely Thiago's fault.

The main reason was, that this space was only sealed away from the inside so that the dark apparition could not escape, but from the outside basically everyone could enter if they found the right location.

As one could see from what the dark apparition had said to Thiago at the beginning when he had appeared before him, which had been: "Another creature has come to be my food, it seems, you human - no, you are actually a beast - will be my nourishment to regain parts of my strength, hehe!" This already showed that Thiago wasn't the first beast to accidentally enter this independent space, and probably wouldn't have been the last if he hadn't completely killed and devoured the dark apparition today.

Anyway, now that he was back in the cave, he went out quickly, picking up some of the Flowers of Joy he had seen there earlier as he had a feeling they might come in handy in the future.

When he was done with that, Thiago finally made his way back to the cave at a moderate pace, seeing that it wasn't even dark yet, so everything that had just happened hadn't taken as long as it seemed.

Of course, he was not an indecent person to wander naked through the forest, so he had quickly bought some robes before leaving the cave.
