Chapter 1

She watched as her son fell to the ground, covered in blood his eyes slowly dropping, her own daughter was alongside them and all she could do is watch because she was chained to the wall. She looked at the person with her son's blood on her hands she couldn't see a face but it was a woman she was wearing a black lace dress, her hair was a light gold shade she turned around and everything went black.

She woke up startled sweat had drenched her body, 'it was all a dream' she tried to tell herself but it was so real she stood up from her bed "Queen Liah, were are you headed it the middle of the night" her handmaid said "is it your duty to question me?" She said looking at her handmaid she just shrunk to the corner and watched as her queen left the room. Liah left the harem and went outside she couldn't handle what was going on in her mind she felt like something was weighing her down and the pit in her stomach didn't help either. "Phillip!" she said the royal fortune teller came to her and gave her a bow "what do you know about my dream?" she said she never believed in any of the magic stigma but she had no other choice tomorrow would be her son `s coronation and she needed to be assured that her son will be safe and no harm would come to him, "well Queen Liah, tomorrow the enemy will strike silently, the end is near my queen" he looked at the moon, as if expecting the moon to give him answers "the crown on his head is going to be the reason for his death" "oh please Phillip just tell me, how can I stop this" she said growing impatient "the force is beyond supernatural it has both skill and it hides in the shadow it is going to strike unexpectedly " he bid her fair well. She looked at the heavens and cried out "this isn't going to happen even if it means fighting death itself" she told herself she wiped the tears that had stained her cheeks she had to fight and lose her sanity in order to have her title and fighting for her son was just child `s play so why did she doubt her ability.

She could feel the sun 's rays on her face she woke up and looked around the crown carried many sins the sins of the former kings and it was also stained with blood. She asked herself if her son would be able to handle it. She stood up and got ready. Walking to the Women `s room she watched as the other wives got ready showing their happiness "mother how was your night" Roxy said smiling at her, she just nodded and sat in her chair facing the mirror while her maids clothed her and placed the jewels on her body she looked herself one last time in the mirror and went to her son `s room "mother(shocked), good morning mother" he greeted his mother "morning my child, did you sleep well" she gave her son a hug and helped him fix his shirt "mother, do you think I will be a good king" he said "no reason to shake my child and yes you will be the greatest king to ever rule" "not true mother, father was the greatest king to ever rule" he said smiling "every king had his secrets and he was a strong king not the greatest" she said smiling at him she was the first wife and least favorite but she was the queen mother, she gave him a kiss and left his room. She wanted to tell her son that he shouldn't become like his father who died a coward who brought misery to her every day he had a new mistress every night when she gave birth to him he was enjoying his new wife Indiana. She went to her room and opened a golden chest with a crest on it, her mother had given it to her a chest filled with pearls from the dead sea which was very odd. she left the Harem and went to the Court room were the crown would have been placed on his head there she watched as her son earns the right to all the kingdom 's sin and secrets she looked at Philip who looked like he knew what she was thinking. She could see blood stained on the crown she looked at Phillip who knew exactly what was going on she was being warned, being warned to surrender before the blood spill. "Your ansesters built this kingdom on a foundation of ashes those ashes have rose from the dust and the worst is about to come" he whispered in her ear she looked at him "what do you see?" "I told you I haven't seen the woman it seems as if she has some protection of some sort the only thing I see is that she has black blood running through her veins, Blood stained with hatred she has a dark soul my queen and she wants redemption" he looked at her he didn't want to tell her that the woman was soon to enter the Harem since he knew she listened to every word they said she knew the tunnels under ground she knew everything that goes on and the only reason she was here was to bring back what once was lost. Liah looked at him was it one of his wives or was she close she stood up from her seat and her son looked at her worried his mother never left an event she always stayed there to make sure none of the other wives got close to him I mean he got his own room when he got married and after his father begged her too release him, Phillip looked at the queen she didn't understand that the end was near. He walked around the room and that's when he felt her presence she was close he looked around and found her holding a wine glass, she brought it up to her lips her lips were stained red from the wine "what are you doing here?" "you know why I'm here Phillip" she looked at him "or should I call you Jason Langford" he looked at her scared "Jason I would advise you to stay out of my way" "your blood is boiling with anger, be careful as it might burn you" "it only burns those who are not born by the fire" "what do you want?" "you know exactly what I want mage". She left him and walked away he looked at her he didn't know what to do should he keep his loyalty or help her but he knew better he had to stay out of her way she had a motive and that motive would never fade.

The newly crowned king sat on his throne his mother blessed him and showered him with love he smiled he hoped to be a great king like his father but it frightened him he knew what wearing the crown meant it meant that he had the royal secrets. But he wanted to amend them and fix everything that way his son wouldn't have to deal with the treachery he stood up and walked among his people the girls would blush at his sight while the men showed respect he already had 499 wives and he still wasn't satisfied "Son lets go it's time for the dinner" his aunt Indiana said he looked at her then back at his mother who was talking to Phillip.

Men will be men to be honest they never learn since the dawn of time men have been deceived and fooled by women and it was all for one thing power but this time it was different she wanted to ruin and destroy everything that came in her way she didn't want to but it was the only way she could get everything back she went to the valley were everything had been lost she wouldn't wear the white veil until she was on her death bed she left flowers and went back to her house where no one knew was a place.

He woke up and found himself in a forest the morning dew had wet his clothes he looked around and hear a clock ticking he followed the sound confused at why they would be a clock in the forest and there she sat a beautiful girl who was in the water she was dancing around and playing with the water a tanned skin, her eys reflected the stars. Soon he could hear the church bells ringing he looke around and the water had turned into blood he was scared as he slowly began to be brought into the darknesss He woke up with a jolt, scared and startled he was back in his bed he looked outside of his window and saw his mother talking with Phillip could he have something to do with his dream. The sun rose while the king was still worried he had a wedding coming on hand and yet he was botyhered by a mere dream that felt so real "My king you have been in the water for long now" his first wife Kira said she drew circles on his body and yet it didn't have any effect on him what so ever "tell me my king what do you want" she whispered seductively in his ear "whatever you want I will give it to you" she kept rubbing his chest ready to go down " I want a heir Kira yet none of my wives have produced me an heir" he said it was the only way to stop her she looked at him "we are trying to conceive my king" "well then try harder shall we, Kira I don't mean to make you angry or sad I just want a child of my own" "My king I did conceive a child but you…" "Kira I told you the day that we got married that my first child is going to be a male not a female having a girl as the oldest would be a disgrace to my father 's name" he cut her off she looked at him she loved him very much but what he had done to their child was a mistake "my king she was just a little girl, yes you would have gotten a son and he would have been king while she gets married off" he looked at her "Kira I too had a sister and she was killed the moment she wept her first cry she was aunt Indiana 's daughter and it will always be like that Kira" he looked at her his eyes turning into slits "Mother has a daughter but…" "my sister is no more than a disgrace to my mother is that understood" it wasn't a question and she knew it, it was more of a statement "understood my king" she left his bathroom and went back to her room she was the first wife and just like her mother told her on her wedding night 'the queen mother also rules the kingdom' and she wanted to also rule she didn't believe it until she saw Queen Liah how much power she had around the kingdom .

Everyone in the palace was asleep she was standing in the shadows watching as queen Liah slept she smiled at how queen Liah cared only about her status and her son 's life she crept closer and sat beside her sleeping form "Liah its time for you to pay your debt" she whispered in her ear Liah opened her eyes and looked around she couldn't see anything or anyone "Sandy!" she called out to her handmaid while she watched laughing "did anyone come into my room" "no, my queen it must have been a dream" she said Liah excused her and looked around she could feel someone close to her "a soul for a soul, a life for a life and a kingdom for a kingdom" she whispered Liah looked around "who are you?, coward show yourself" she said she had moved to a small corner hoping that it was all a dream "Liah you failed to give us what we wanted and in return of our kindness you destroyed us now wait I will be here very soon close to you and you won't even realize it" she said to Liah she left her room leaving the queen shocked and scared she walked down the halls and looked at him people saw him as a jewel but he wasn't he was a monster and he was going to pay

Next morning everyone woke up minding their own business Liah couldn't speak she was too scared the voice she had heard last night would be listening to her every move, an heir needed to be born she had concluded, if no heir was born then she would lose everything she worked hard for she had to work against all odds. Star sat by the lake gathering flower petals her wedding was coming up, she didn't want to get married yet it had to be done.The king had gone out for his usual morning ride he passed by the lake he had seen the girl taking a bath his days were numbered and yet he seemed to be mingling with his doom, he had rode to a field where he had learnt that his soon to be bride was spending her time and he saw her picking up flowers she was wearing a white dress that brought life and color to her body he went closer and put his hand on her shoulder "My king" she said shocked she looked back at him what on earth would he be doing here she thought to herself "My muse" he said he looked around no one was in sight "how may I help you?" she said grabbing her basket of flowers and picking up the last bundle "am I not allowed to come and see my soon to be wife" he said so blankly she stopped dead in her tracks "tik tok time is running out before the monster breaks free" she said from the shadows "My king I can't" "well then I guess we save it for our wedding bed" she looked at him she was angry why would he want to marry her he gave her a sloppy smile "and after our wedding you will bear me a son after all you will be married" "just because a woman is married doesn't mean she needs to have children" Star said looking at him "well it is a woman 's job to give her husband as many children as he wants and to try and please him" he said looking at her "which you might do very well for me I'm not looking for love I'm looking for the woman who can give me my heir(he took a breather and looked at her), which you can do for me" he said he looked at her as he saw the anger written in her all over her face she looked at him and slapped him "you should learn your manners Titus and learn how to treat woman we are not one of your worldly possessions we are people also so stop treating us like we are some objects" he laughed at her "you dare slap your king" "might I remind that I might be a woman but that doesn't mean you can control me I`m not one of your little toys" she said to him she walked away leaving him speechless "Fletcher!" he called out, his loyal subject came running "prepare for a wedding now invite everyone in the kingdom and prepare bridal clothes for my bride" he said and got on his horse and rode off.

She laughed in the shadows this was all going according to plan all those months of careful planning and being tortured was finally paying off. Star looked at the garment in front of her she didn't want to do this but she had a goal she smiled when she looked at how he was falling easily into her trap. she stood up and put on the garment and left her house being held by guards she was being held captive in a marriage she did not want she walked down the place halls silently crying under her veil hoping the worst will come quietly and not leave her wounded.

She woke up the next morning in pain she didn't want to think of last night, she got up feeling the pain of betrayal and hurt she went to take a bath looking at the clock in front of her 'were is he?' she thought to herself she stood up as the maids bowed before and she got dressed "Queen Star!" someone called she looked it was the king `s first wife she looked happy about something "yes Queen Kira" she said covering her head "well I came to welcome you to the women's quarters" she said with a smile she looked around and touched the bed "your bed is cold it looks like you woke up ages ago" she said looking at Star who was slightly uncomfortable "yes well I did wake up when the sun came up" "but where is the king?" she walked to her bathroom and saw no evidence that the king had been in her room "oh so he left after your wedding night" she left her room and went to hers calling her handmaid and laughing "what happened my queen?" "the king doesn't even like her he knew her and left her alone in the dead of night" "but my queen you already knew this after all the king did come to your bed last night" she looked behind her where the king was sleeping peacefully "my god Fiona how do I explain this to you she is the new wife and mother already adores her" "yes my Queen but do you remember what mother told you when you got married" Fiona looked at her "Fiona yes mother said that the favorite wife is always the last wife but let me tell you this nothing of that sort will ever happen now leave" she got up and looked in the mirror she was the most beautiful queen among all of them "Kira can you shut the blinds" Titus said he covered his head with blankets, she closed the blinds and walked out smiling this was already game on she had vowed that she would be the queen mother no matter what.

"mother may I please leave the palace?" she asked her mother in law who looked at her and smiled "my dear you have to get permission from your husband first" she looked at her she knew what Kira wanted the day she had gotten married somehow she like her but something about her was poisonous maybe it was the fact that she was dragon blood or maybe it's the fact that she was just new and quiet Star left the women's quarters hoping to be given permission to leave the palace she needed some air "lady Star you cannot leave the palace if you want air you can go outside by the court yard there is plenty of air" he said leaving her presence "My king please I need to go and pay my respects to my mother 's grave" he looked at her an sighed "you are not leaving my side until I grant you permission is it lady star" she looked at him and nodded "please my king I will never ask you for anything or show my face to you" he looked at her "well that would be to advantage to you since you can't even look at my face and I would be at disadvantage" he caressed her cheek and she tried to move away from his touch "my king I need to be excused" "fine you can leave but I expect you to be in your room after dinner" she nodded and left dressing in her royal linens she left the palace.

for her losing everything she had she walked down the halls.
