Hugo dropped the ball-shaped aircraft onto the port floor with a loud thud. He grunted exasperatedly, mind aching from the constant use of his Awakening.

He'd been carrying the ship for a little more than two hours, using massive hands made of Black Matter and just as large wings.

Although 'talking' with the Awakening slightly eased the pain brought about by using the power, it didn't completely eradicate the problem.

It was due to this same problem that Hugo put a time limit on his use of his Awakening all those years ago. The time limit made no difference since his enemies never took that long to be incapacitated.

This was different, however. It was the usage of two abilities at the same time. To make tools or weapons from Black Matter, he had to channel the substance through his body, and that caused a lot of pain.
